Let it be so in Jesus name. I will go and get my passport tomorrow morning and see what ever comes out. I'm still optimistic

Applied for GCMS note on July 25, but later decided on reapplying while waiting for the gcms note, since my resumption date was fast approaching and the gcms note would take 1 month.

Included in my reapplication the SOP I wrote for the MBA application, changed school to my preferred school which i had now gotten the admission letter, documents of landed properties and letter of merit award from the school.

May God have mercy on your soul, issued a letter of inadmissibility by who? Haba! If you continue with this mentality, you are in for some major humbling experience. Life has it’s was of doing that. My day of vindication is coming soon and I hope you remember your words and you will have to chew them raw. May God open your eyes to see the things that really matter in life. Canada is not heaven, far from it. It may be wealthy, but life is not easy there either and wealth does not always translate to enjoyability. When you settle you will begin to see the flaw of the system too. How many Canadian citizens cross daily into my city in the US prosituting themselves for pennies? I would be prone to say it is a shithole too. But no, a better understanding of things is a realization that no human abode is perfect. Everywhere has it strength and weakness and God put us where we are not for ourselves or by mistake, but to make the best use of what we are given for the cause of good and God’s glory. I pray you realize this sooner than
later.

You just fall my hand.
Why did u quote d guy again.
He's travelling for d first time nah.

No passport no biometrics, don't waste your time.

Please don't discourage him when you are not sure. I was in the same situation sometimes in July, outtightly forgot my passport at my friend's place and I got to Lekki before remembering but I was allowed to do biometrics, although they asked me at every desk I got to for the original passport and I said same thing everytime. His reason is more genuine than mine. When asked simply say it's at another embassy for processing. And I also hope it was online submission that you did. In a nutshell I did my biometrics in less than 2hrs.

Bros you dey vex o! Please calm down and let everything pass.

Nigeria hard but please don’t call our fatherland shithole. I have spent barely two weeks and some days in Canada and I must tell you I’m missing home. Life’s good here and thousands times better than in Nigeria but no place can be like where you grew up.

The culture here is totally different from ours. You would be living in the same Condo and you won’t even greet one another when your path crosses. For example, in the walkway or when you in the elevator, you will either be looking each other like dondee or be pressing phone. Sometimes you greet them and they will be looking at you like mumu, and sometimes they respond with all smile. Even in 3 or more bedroom houses, you see only few that mix well. Most times it’s hi hi when you meet and when you in the house, you lock yourself in the room doing your thing.

The food too. You go chop rice tire. The best thing is to cook here. Not like naija wey you fit just enter one restaurant or buka and load fufu or Eba and spend less than 1k. Go to African restaurant here a the least plate you can get is for $15 (#4,350) and you won’t even be satisfied. And for your info, you pay tax for everything. SIM card wey dem dey sell 100 naira for naija, I bought for $40 (#11,600) here , which was the best deal and I was charged $6 (#1740) extra as tax. Even tax dey ontop bread. I buy wheat bread for $3.29 (#954) which is #250 in naija(more than x3). So the thing here is you have to change your lifestyle if you really wanna have savings. Wheat bread wey I dey finish once in naija, I dey chop am 3 times here grin. Beans of about 3 congos is $22 imagine! One thing, If you keep converting to naira, you won’t buy anything here lol. Got a jean jacket $70 wey I go see confirm akube for 1500 in naija.

Also, I learnt the weather during winter is mad. Even those that were born and bred here are afraid winter is coming! I remember during my orientation a lady at the information fair was asking me if I would like to study abroad. I told her I am already studying abroad because I am an International student. She laughed and said I can still study abroad, perhaps after I spend a winter here, I would like to study abroad...imagine! Lol

Congrats on your approval and I wish you the best in Canada!

Wa gbayii @Bodmillz! Thanks for the relief, atleast I wasn't looking fwd to the last line atall.

There ought be freedom of expression though and I don't know why a lot has taken Uyplus testimonial personal; different things frustrates us to different degrees. Would anyone believe I just got my student copy transcript from University of Ibadan since Oct last year. To me that school bleeped me up and I speak ill of my alma mata but it's an ironic descriptives that I don't really mean. I guess it's the same for him, I could sense his euphoria.

I applied for Canada study VISA online on 23rd May, went for finger print 17th June, yet to hear from them regarding decision. Now 14 weeks plus from the date of application and 11 weeks from the date of finger print. Is this the normal trend or there is something I need do?

My brother, after all said and done, we didn't hear from her again. Sorry but this thread would have learnt a lot from her apt.

She started making inquiries on US visa thread after going silent here. I was surprised. If she was approved, I guess she would have told us.... If not, she wouldn't be the first so I don't see why she'd have to just blank the house. Every now and then frustrated or anxious silent observers scream in confession and find some solace in the house -some disappear again after obtaining some level of comfort without caring to provide others emotional support during other people's time of psychological imbalance. I decided to give her some time believing that after some much needed privacy, she'll get back to us so people can learn from her adventure whether it be positive or negative. People handle joy and shock differently so let's understand.

I suspect she got answers here at her time of need but turned her back on the house eventually. Is it something in our blood? Having come from the UK one would have expected a higher level of integrity (...for here I was, worrying if she had been kidnapped or something bad had happened to her like an accident or ill health). Lesson to be learnt is that we shouldn't think less of our people on ground and more of the people away.

We can only wish her the best as I don't expect her to come back making inquiries on this particular thread again very soon though she will always be very welcome. In case you are reading this comment.... If things didn't go well as planned, don't lose hope, we may not understand how shattered your plans have become... But things usually get better with time once there is life. IRCC has cut many tongues before. Sometimes, you can almost beat your chest about your airtight application until they embarrass you. Meanwhile, if you feel some folks here misled you, I apologise on their behalf - Providing feedback may help others avoid falling into the same pit.

I suspect she contacted some people like frankobyn or Jnyuwa02 after then privately. Until you guys brought it up, I thought it best to respect her privacy thinking I was the only one who noticed her action.

If I have spoken badly (especially using the word 'integrity" - I was looking for a better word)... Please forgive me. Meanwhile, It would be such a wonderful relief to know that you forgot us because of over celebration having received positive feedback on your application status -though I guess you might have remembered to further inquire about flights from Naija.

Lastly, I noticed she was viewing the topic (as herself, not guest oh) when folks said she will soon get back to clarify the medicals issue.

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night depending on your time zone to my fellow Nigerians all over the world!
Teki-nology is good.

I'm not saying your application was approved but it's possible. There's a recent soft-pedalling on medicals by Canadian immigration.
