rottennaija:You ask really good questions. To answer your first question, I will like you to read these Bible verses first: Matthew 28:18, 19 Matthew 10:1-15 The whole of Acts chapter 8.As you read chapter 8,pay attention to verse 4, 5,6,7,12,13, 25-40. The story of philip and Ethiopian eunoch is particularly telling. Now, when you read Matthew 10, take note of the verse where Jesus told his disciples to stay in the houses of people who listen to them, until they leave. In Matthew 28:18, 19/Jesus specifically told his followers to Go and make disciples Baptise them And teach the new disciples to observe the commandment Jesus Can the Disciples achieve the three objectives in one day? The answer is no, because time is needed. Remember, some people will accept and some will reject So for those who accept and continue to learn about Christ message , in time they will be baptized to become disciples. Learning comes before baptism. And discipleship comes only after baptism. Why were Jesus own disciples following him everywhere he went? To learn how to preach and teach like Jesus And they learned fast so much so he started sending them in twos on their own to villages and cities. The majot work God has given all genuine Christain in these last days is reecorded in Matthew 2818,19. Just like Noah, whom God told to bud a ark, Christains have the mandate to declare the good news of Gods kingdom and also to make new disciples for the kingdom. Chriatains will not just preach But they must teach What is the meaning of preach or preaching? What is the meaning of teaching? are the two the same? Certainly not Preaching means telling something Teach or teaching means impacting something new knowledge or skill to the hearer with the goal of making the person learn. According to Jesus standard You Dont only preach the message of God s kingdom to people who are not aware You must take it a step further by going back repeatedly to teach them more things about the Kingdom message. It is this extra teaching effort, that makes a person develop his faith as a Christain as a result of increased and better knowledge and understanding of Gods purpose. It is this teaching process that eventually leads to the person making the decision to get baptized. People didn't just get baptizes because they had a head knowledge about Jesus. They got baptized because they liked the message, had faith in Jesus promise of Gods kingdom and learned from Jesus directly or through his followers. All of which took time. Does the Bible not tell us about the sermon on the mount? Matthew chapter 5-7. This portion is full of teachings Jesus shared with his listeners. So Christains are not only expected to preach they are also expected teach the people that listened to them by going back repeatedly for bible discussions. In order to help such ones become believers and eventually get baptized. So if you ask me, if only Jehovah witnesses are the ones that preach as recorded for Christains in the Bible My answer is Yes We just don't preach in 238 lands and islands of the earth, in over 500 languages our publications are also in hundreds of languages earthwide, just to make sure those who show interest in our preaching can have something to read on their own Do we stop there? No. Jesus said teach them. So we teach them It may take months or years but at the end of the day, many individuals become disciples when they get baptise after a study of basic bible doctrines found in the bible. Because faith is not an easy thing to cultivate in these last days, and the fact that different people have different intellectual capacity people have different rate of progress when studying the bible with witnesses. At the end of the day those who display by their conduct that they like what they are learning always make effort to become baptized after seeing for themselves what the Bible really teaches. You can't just become like Jesus overnight With any learning and changes in character Bible study is what transform people into Jesus followers with time, no matter how long or short. How many church's do you know that preach about Gods kingdom and also teach people earthwide about this kingdom in their home, offices, schools etc from day to day, year to year and under all conditions and free of charge? Please reply. I want to hear from you. Next, your second question. |

Restroom:Hmmm, I would say you have written so much but have not answered the first set of questions. To make disciples, you need to preach and teach, agreed. So if other Christian religion don't preach, how do they make new convert? You have not responded to that. Secondly, for religion that started in the 1800s, to still hover around 8 million today, how effective is the preaching of Jws? (note, it would only be effective if the growth rate is commensurate with the house you spend to make a new convert) so, in other words, my question is, how many hours do Jws spend to make a new convert? Thirdly, over the past 1800 years, how has the Bible message on faith and beliefs on Jesus been transferred to our time, with people embracing that faith since they were no JWs over that period to preach? Fourthly and importantly, which scripture support the idea that each individual Christian must preach, without which, there is no salvation? (cite them) Please respond to these questions sequentially and it would be appreciated if you can keep your answers concise. |

rottennaija:Read Jesus words recorded at Matthew 7:13,14. Narrow road Broad Road Modern day history of JW started in 1879. From that humble modern beginning, of a few Bible students, it has grown to around 7-8million witnesses in 2018. Genuine Christianity is about crowds as Jesus indicated in Matthew 7:13, 14 Jesus made it plain that genuine Christains would be few compared to fake Christains. So, when you keep underestimating the import of Matthew 7:13,14 You won't understand why witnesses are different from the rest. God says it is not by might or power but by my spirit. God does not deal with evil crowds. He saved Noah and his family in a whole world He saved lot and his family from Sodom n Gomorrah He also saved rahab when Jericho was destroyed. My point is this: those who have worshipped God the right way all through history have been in the minority not the majority. Gods true servants have always been the minority As for if other religions preach, they preach How do they preach is the question you should have asked. Do they preach the way Jesus did, from house to house? Do all their members preach from house to house including their leaders like General Overseers? Do they preach like the way Jesuz disciples did? who are the only group that imitate Jesus style of preaching? JW Now for more than 3 -7 years now, worldwide JW spend over 1billion hours preaching yearly An average of over 250,000 new bible students are baptized yearly worldwide to become JW An average of over 10 million bible studies are conducted with people earthwide every month, and out this figure comes the 250,000 that gets baptizes yearly Now, is 10/million Bible study not small? Is 250,000 that get baptized even not smaller? Yap. the reason The narrow road is cramp and few are the ones finding it. Of course, JW are the most progressive and successful religion when it comes to evangelizing and getting new members. That is a fact. That is why our number keeps increasing. Interestingly there are churches on earth with populations 100 times larger than ours. We do not bother. Because of Mattew 7:13,14. In Matthew 28:18, 19 Jesus gave all his disciples an individual commission when he said: Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the earth......baptize them and make disciples Was he talking to one person ? No He made that statement as he departed the earth in the presence of his disciples for heaven All Christains have that commission It is an assignment his followers are to execute until JesuS comes This would show that they were faithful in the work of preaching that he gave them. That is why Mattew 24:14 state thus This God news must be preached allover the inhabited earth, for a witness to all the nation and then, the end will come. Who will do the preaching? true Christains who see the preaching work as assignment from Jesus christ Why will they do the preaching To bear witness to all the nations about Gods kingdom and coming Judgment If we Dont preach? ,why will happen ? According to Jesus, the end will not come. So our worldwide preaching is a fulfillment of Mattew 24:14. The end will soon. come. First timothy 4:16 Mattew 24:14. Ezekiel 3:17-21. 2peter 3:8, 9. Rev 22:17. Now, Romans 6:23 states : the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God givers is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our lord. Everlasting life is a gift from God. No amount of righteousness can make God gives us the gift However, if we are pleasing to God in our way and conduct, he will happily Give us the gift. What can we do to please God? Obey all his commandments including the command to preach, Then the preaching work and your teaching will save you yourself and the one who listens to you as recorded in 1timothy 4:16. Christains simply obey, they Dont worry about the reward neither do they serve God solely for the reward the major assignment for all Christians in this end time is the preaching and disciple making work Jesus gave his followers 2000 years ago. Are you engaged in this work? Your survival depends on your effort in this work. Finally, God knows all who have been faithful all throughout history. Between 300CE and 1800, Christianity was corrupted by apostates and Politicians, so much so, that genuine Christains as a group were overshadowed by false Christains. It is called the dark ages. The Christain congregation virtually went to sleep for a long time as false religion held sway. But around 17-1800 CE, it began to wake up. Read mattew 10:24-30. 2thesalonians 2:3-4 Acts20: 29 Daniel 12: 4, 9,10 As prophesied in Daniel, the truth would be sealed until the time of the end. All sincere persons who lived throughout the dark ages God knows them and sees them as his servant. A person cornerwho lived and died in ignorance during that era and all other righteous people will be brought back to life on earth John 5:28,29. JW are the modern day servant of God with history starting in 1800. Read Isaiah 60:22 The little one will become a thousand And the small one a mighty nation I myself, Jehovah will speed it up in its own time. This scripture explains prophetically how true Christains in modern times will start and grow into a nation God says he will speed it up himself And in our case, the gathering of honest hearted and rightly disposed ones for life has been a steady progress since 1879. |

Restroom:Like I said earlier, you have written so much but have skirt around the question and have not answered any. I see you have brought some scriptures also, but none has a bearing on the subject. Of course, you have said the churches preach, but since they don't preach in your own methods, then it doesn't really count. Let's go back to the questions. Please keep it simple this time. Bring out your point one after another. 1a. So if other Christian religion don't preach, how do they make new convert? You have not responded to that. 1b. 1c. Thirdly, over the past 1800 years, how has the Bible message on faith and beliefs on Jesus been transferred to our time, with people embracing that faith since they were no JWs over that period to preach? 1d. Fourthly and importantly, which scripture support the idea that each individual Christian must preach, without which, there is no salvation? (cite them) Please, while responding, be careful about your confirmation bias. It really evident in the way you use quoted scriptures to support your writeup. An example is on how you apply 1 Ti 4:16. The context reveals that the teaching, saving oneself and those who listen to him is in relation to the teachings that goes on within the church or the christian congregation. But as a result of your confirmation bias and the need to use the quoted scriptures to support that each Christian must preach to get save, your have brought in the word preach (subconsciously, without seeing the switch your mind has done), then teach and saving oneself and others. But the Irony is, through the first letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul in nowhere indicated the need for him to preach outside the congregation or to preach house to house to the need for the members of the congregation to preach house to house. So while giving your next response, don't allow your confirmation bias to make you manipulate the scriptures to fit with with arguments. |

rottennaija:You didn't read my response above Go back and try to read it slowly with an open mind To understand it plainly, you got to read it thoroughly because all your questions have been answered Now.....personal salvation does not come without sacrifice. You want to gain everlasting life? Then you got to work for it Zephaniah 3:2 Then you got to be holy you got to preach like Jesus 1pet 2:21,22. The model Jesus set is the model Christains must imitate and follow Any other trick to use short cut na wayo Any thing less is unacceptable to Jehovah God. Jesus came to earth not only to die for our sin, but to show us the way of life of a Christain and to also teach us the truth about God. That Jesus way is unique If the master preached and was killed for it You is genuine followers must do also what he did and how he did it even if it will mean death at the hands of opposers. Do you know how many witnesses are killed by people who Dont like their preaching worldwide yearly? Yet we keep on preaching without let up He introduced preaching from house to house and he also sent his disciples out in twos to every homes, villages and cities So what we are doing is what Jesus did If you decided to avoid what Jesus did in public preaching and how he did it, can you still be called his footstep FOLLOWER? You Dont dictate how to do the work of your master or leader You simply follow the example set. JW are perfectly doing what Jesus did and that is why we are proud of ourselves as the only group who have and are closely following the example of Christain ministry established not by man, but by God through Jesus christ Of course you can preach in other ways, the most effective of them all is going repeatedly to peoples homes and offices, going from house to house and having a one on one discussions with your listeners. We are doing the preaching work exactly the way Jesus asked us to do it. Now, let me clarify one concept to you: Salvation is not cheap, without any serious investment To gain everlasting life, you must obey what God commands you to do When God told Noah to build an Ark, the Bible says Noah did just so That assignment was huge and because of his obedience God saved him and his family. Now all Christains must preach whether you agree or not. When Jesus said Go there fore and make disciples and baptize and teach them, was he talking to animals? Or everybody? He was talking to his disciples! Of course if we Dont do as he said, can we rightly expect to be rewarded for faithfulness? See calling yourself a Christain is one thing but not knowing the preaching obligation tied to it is another thing. If we Dont know that preaching is an obligation for a chriatain, because it is part of what being a Christain is, then, our religion has been doing us no good! Jesus Peter John James Luke Mattew etc And later Paul All preached heavily as part of their way of life So you want to be different? You want to be a Christian but dont want to preach? If you Dont preach, how will people get saved or know about Gods coming jugdnent? If your brand of Christianity is different from the type the above men did 2000 years ago, then, I am sorry to say this, It is Fake Guy.....Christianity and preaching is like 5&6 You cannot be a christain and Dont see preaching as your obligation. Or is it that you Dont understand Matthew 28:18,19? |

dear rottennaija What Does It Mean to Be a Christian? “IN MY country to be a Christian means to go to church once a week,” says Kingsley, from one African country. Raad, from the Middle East, explains: “In our community Christians are viewed as a group who follow Western customs and traditions in their dress, celebrations, and treatment of women.” But does being a Christian simply mean that one attends a church service once a week and follows certain social customs and traditions? Logically, should not the word “Christian” refer to a way of life that reflects the attitudes, values, and conduct that Christ preached and exemplified? How was Christianity practiced at its inception? Early Christianity—A Way of Life Jesus said to his followers: “You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” ( John 15:14 ) Since Jesus’ teachings affected all aspects of their lives, Christ’s disciples initially referred to their religion as “The Way.” ( Acts 9:2 ) Soon thereafter, “[they] were by divine providence called Christians.” ( Acts 11:26 ) This new name they bore meant that they believed that Jesus was the Son of God, who had transmitted to mankind the will of his heavenly Father. This belief led them to follow a way of life that differed from that of the world around them. Christ’s teachings moved his followers to follow Bible teachings, which meant avoiding “fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, . . . drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these.” ( Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 4:17-24 ) The apostle Paul reminded Corinthian Christians that some of them had once practiced these very things. Then he added: “But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”—1 Corinthians 6:9-11 . E. W. Barnes relates in his book The Rise of Christianity: “In its early authoritative documents the Christian movement is represented as essentially moral and law-abiding. Its members desired to be good citizens and loyal subjects. They shunned the failings and vices of paganism. In private life they sought to be peaceful neighbours and trustworthy friends. They were taught to be sober, industrious and clean-living. Amid prevailing corruption and licentiousness they were, if loyal to their principles, honest and truthful. Their sexual standards were high: the marriage tie was respected and family life was pure.” Such were aspects of being a Christian in the early days. Another distinctive sign of early Christianity was its zealous evangelizing work. Christ commanded his followers: “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.” ( Matthew 28:19, 20 ) Jean Bernardi, a professor at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, noted: “[Christians] were to go out and speak everywhere and to everyone. On the highways and in the cities, on the public squares and in the homes. Welcome or unwelcome. To the poor, and to the rich encumbered by their possessions. . . . They had to take to the road, board ships, and go to the ends of the earth.” True Christians today should stand out for their distinctive way of life, just as they did in the first century. Accordingly, Jehovah’s Witnesses strive to adhere strictly to the precepts established by the first Christians. Their efforts to pattern their lives after the teachings of the Bible are noticed by others. For instance, the New Catholic Encyclopedia acknowledges that Jehovah’s Witnesses are known as “one of the best-behaved groups in the world.” The Deseret News of Salt Lake City, Utah, observed that Jehovah’s Witnesses “promote strong family ties and develop productive and honest citizens.” The newspaper added: “Members believe in a strong moral code. They believe smoking, overdrinking, drug misuse, gambling, sexual promiscuity and homosexuality are spiritually damaging practices. They teach honesty and good work habits.” The Witnesses also take to heart their responsibility to be zealous evangelizers. Commenting on this the New Catholic Encyclopedia says: “The fundamental obligation of each member . . . is to give witness to Jehovah by announcing His approaching Kingdom. . . . To be a true Witness one must preach effectively in one way or another.” Clearly, true Christianity is much more than membership in one of the many religions of Christendom. Jesus himself foretold the rise of counterfeit Christians. ( Matthew 7:22, 23 ) Jehovah’s Witnesses invite you to learn what Jesus taught and put it into practice. That is what it means to be a Christian. Jesus said: “If you know these things, happy you are if you do them.”— John 13:17 . |
| Re: God’s Kingdom, The Only Lasting Solution To Mankind’s Problems-I by capitalzero: 10:10pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
capitalzero:One True Christian Faith—A Reality JESUS CHRIST set up just one church, or congregation. That congregation was a spiritual body, a spiritual family. By this we mean that it was a gathering together of people chosen by God’s holy spirit—all recognized by God to be his “children.”— Romans 8:16, 17; Galatians 3:26 . Jesus taught that only one way was used by God to direct people to the truth and to life. To illustrate that important truth, Jesus compared the way to everlasting life to a road. He said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.”— Matthew 7:13, 14; John 14:6; Acts 4:11, 12 . A Unified Congregation We should not think of that first-century congregation as “a world-wide, universal, organized society such as we mean nowadays when we talk about the catholic church,” says The New Dictionary of Theology. Why not? “For the simple reason,” it says, “that such an organized, universal society scarcely existed.” No one can rightly disagree with the fact that the early Christian congregation bore no resemblance to the institutionalized church systems we see today. But it was organized. Individual congregations did not operate independently of one another. They all recognized the authority of a governing body in Jerusalem. That body—consisting of the apostles and older men of the Jerusalem congregation—helped to preserve the unity of the congregation as the “one body” of Christ.— Ephesians 4:4, 11-16; Acts 15:22-31; 16:4, 5 . What happened to that one true congregation? Did it become the mighty Catholic Church? Did it evolve into the denominational, fragmented Protestant church system that we see today? Or did something else happen? “Wheat” and “Weeds” To find the answers, let us carefully consider what Jesus Christ himself said would happen. You may be surprised to learn that Jesus expected his congregation to disappear from view and that he would allow such a sad situation to continue for centuries. Identifying his congregation with “the kingdom of the heavens,” he said: “The kingdom of the heavens has become like a man that sowed fine seed in his field. While men were sleeping, his enemy came and oversowed weeds in among the wheat, and left. When the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the weeds appeared also. So the slaves of the householder came up and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow fine seed in your field? How, then, does it come to have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy, a man, did this.’ They said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and collect them?’ He said, ‘No; that by no chance, while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the harvest season I will tell the reapers, First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up, then go to gathering the wheat into my storehouse.’”— Matthew 13:24-30 . Jesus explained that he was “the sower.” “The fine seed” pictured his genuine disciples. His “enemy” was Satan the Devil. “The weeds” were counterfeit Christians who infiltrated the early Christian congregation. He said that he would let “the wheat” and “the weeds” grow together until “the harvest,” which would come at “a conclusion of a system of things.” ( Matthew 13:37-43 ) What did all of this mean? The Christian Congregation Corrupted Soon after the death of the apostles, apostate teachers from within the congregation began to take control of it. They spoke “twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.” ( Acts 20:29, 30 ) As a result, many Christians ‘fell away from the faith.’ They were “turned aside to false stories.”— 1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:3, 4 . By the fourth century C.E., says The New Dictionary of Theology, “Catholic Christianity had become the official . . . religion of the Roman Empire.” There was a “coalescence of ecclesial and civil society”—a merging of Church and State that was diametrically opposed to the beliefs of the early Christians. ( John 17:16; James 4:4 ) The same source states that in time, the whole structure and nature of the church, as well as many of its fundamental beliefs, was changed radically “under the influence of a curious and thoroughly unhealthy combination of O[ld] T[estament] and neoplatonic models.” As predicted by Jesus Christ, his genuine disciples were hidden from sight as counterfeit Christians flourished. Jesus’ listeners knew how difficult it was to tell genuine wheat from weeds, such as poisonous bearded darnel, which during the growing season has an appearance much like that of wheat. So Jesus was illustrating that for a while, it would be difficult to distinguish true Christians from the counterfeit variety. This does not mean that the Christian congregation ceased to exist, for Jesus promised to continue to guide his spiritual brothers “all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” ( Matthew 28:20 ) Jesus said that the wheat would continue to grow. Even so, through the ages, genuine Christians—individually or in groups—no doubt did their best to adhere to Christ’s teachings. But they no longer made up a clearly identifiable, visible body, or organization. They were certainly not identical with the visible apostate religious system that throughout history brought nothing but disgrace and dishonor to the name of Jesus Christ.—2 Peter 2:1, 2 . “The Man of Lawlessness Gets Revealed” The apostle Paul foretold something else that would mark this counterfeit religious system. He wrote: “Let no one seduce you in any manner, because [Jehovah’s day] will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed.” ( 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 ) This “man of lawlessness” is none other than the clergy class that exalted itself into a ruling position over the “Christian” congregation. The apostasy started in the apostle Paul’s day. It accelerated once the apostles died and their restraining influence disappeared. It would be marked, said Paul, by “the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents and with every unrighteous deception.” ( 2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 ) How accurately that describes the activities of so many religious leaders throughout history! In support of their claim that Roman Catholicism is the one true church, Catholic leaders say that their bishops have “a life-giving contact with the original apostles by a current of succession which goes back to the beginning.” In truth, this claim of apostolic succession has no historical or Scriptural basis. There is no credible evidence that the church system that arose following the death of Jesus’ apostles was ever directed by God’s holy spirit.—Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:19-21 . And what of the other churches that sprang up following the so-called Reformation? Did they return to the model of the early Christian congregation? Did they restore the purity of the original Christian congregation? It is true that following the Reformation, the Bible became available to many of the common people in their own language. Yet, history shows that these churches continued to teach erroneous doctrines. — Matthew 15:7-9 . Note this, however. Jesus Christ definitely foretold that his one true congregation would be restored during what he called a conclusion of a system of things. ( Matthew 13:30, 39 ) The fulfillment of Bible prophecies shows that we are now living in that time. ( Matthew 24:3-35 ) That being true, each of us needs to ask, ‘Where is that one true church?’ It ought to become more and more clearly identifiable. Maybe you feel that you have already found that church, or congregation. It is important that you make sure. Why? Because as in the first century, there can be only one true church. Have you taken the time to make sure that your church closely conforms to the pattern set by the first-century Christian congregation and that it loyally adheres to the teachings of Jesus Christ? Why not examine this now? Jehovah’s Witnesses will be happy to help you to do just that.—Acts 17:11 . |

capitalzero:capitalzero, Restroom You guys have written many things, but I am yet to see you address the fundamental question I asked. The questions are really simple and straightforward. I'll post the questions here again. They are: 1a. if other Christian religion don't preach, how do they make new convert? 1b. Secondly, how effective is the jw preaching method, in other words, my question is, how many hours do Jws spend to make a new convert? 1c. Thirdly, over the past 1800 years, how has the Bible message on faith and beliefs on Jesus been transferred to our time, with people embracing that faith since they were no JWs over that period to preach? 1d. Restroom:Jesus said He was going away to heaven, and that He will return again to take those who believe in Him so that they can be with Him where He is. Have you not read this passage in the scriptures?. John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Jesus Christ will return again with the sound of the arch angel's trumpet, and all who TRUELY believe in Him will be taken up to meet Him in the air. Please note that this event has not happened yet, as Jesus Christ has not come the second time. This is the truth of the gospel. Shalom. |

Restroom:All these assumptions. Hmmm. So to justify your doctrine you bring parables and beatitudes. Lol Matthew 5 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Jws now have to assume they are the meek right? Who are the poor in spirit? Who are those who morn? Who are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness? Who are the merciful? Who are the pure in heart? Who are the peacemakers? Who are those persecuted for righteousness? I know you will soon tell me verse 3 and 5 is literal while the rest verses are figurative including verse 12 WELL, NO VERSE SAYS THERE ARE TWO HOPES FOR ANY SHEEP. LAST LAST NA YOU JUST ASSUME AM. E NO DEY BIBLE. Matthew 6:9,10 This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven LAST LAST STILL NO EVIDENCE THAT THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE SHEEP GOING TO DIFFERENT PLACES. UNA DEY JESUS MIND SO TEY UNA DECIPHER WHAT JESUS WAS THINKING IN HIS HEAD AT THAT TIME. Rev 14:1-4 14 Then I looked, and behold, [a]a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, [b]having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. 3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were [c]redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. SO TEY YOU SAY IT'S ONLY 144000 MALE VIRGINS THAT ARE GOING TO HEAVEN. LAST LAST WE NO STILL SEE WHERE JESUS SAY HIS SHEEP HAS DUAL DESTINIES. ONE KIND OF SHEEP WILL GO TO HEAVEN THEN THE OTHER SHEEP WILL INHERIT EARTH. YOUR JEHOVAH EVEN HAS TO PREFER SOME CHRISTIANS OVER OTHERS. HE EVEN PREFERS MALE VIRGINS. rottennaija:1). Ask others how they recruit their converts. JW can't speak for them. 2). Its not about the hours spent, but other factors- our friend's interest to apply God's word in his personal life, a fast learner learns faster, as God's spirit directs etc. 3) Abraham's forefathers practiced idolatry but Jah called him out. Throughout man's history, Jah knows those he counts as righteous (his "cloud of witnesses" have always existed, Rev 3:14. Hebrew 11 & 12:1). 4) Mark 6:10,11. Mat 10:11-14 etc. |

Now, it simply isn't possible for any religious group to grow without having a way to get the message out. Many methods they use. Personally, I have been a witness to the fact that these religious groups carry their message out either in public locations like market, bus terminals, etc and even door to door or house to house. This simply boils down the claim that JWs make, that "they are the only group that preach like Jesus and his apostles, basically, since they go house to house". I had read your earlier response as you made them. One of what stood out in your response was that Jesus and the apostles went house to house, and since Jws go house to house, then that necessarily makes them God's chosen people today. I would want us to focus on that. The question I would ask is, Did Jesus and the apostle go house to house? And if they did (since they did), did they necessarily set that as a touch stone for his followers today? Please, let deal with this full scriptural support. Happy Sunday and God bless you. |

Restroom:Let me contribute in relation to this scriptures you brought up. Mattew 5:3 reads in NWT "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them" Other translation use the expression "beggars in the spirit", "poor in the spirit". I always ask JWs, are you poor/beggars in the spirit? Or as the NWT renders the verse, are you conscious of your spiritual needs? What then does it mean to be conscious of ones' spiritual needs? Before I answer the questions above, there are some facts I want to draw to your attention. Except for w09 2/15 6; and g71 6/8, the watchtower applies both scriptures, Mt 5:3, 5 to the anointed and the other sheep. [Please see it-1 279; jy 85; w13 4/1 6; nwt 1719; w11 7/1 8; w10 8/1 16; w08 5/1 19-20; g 11/08 9; g 4/06 3-4; w04 9/1 5; w04 11/1 8-9; w01 3/1 4-5; w01 10/15 20-21; w00 3/1 29-30; w99 9/1 19; w97 3/15 23; g94 12/8 7; w93 6/1 20; g90 9/22 21; g90 10/8 23] How does watchtower organisation apply Matthew 5:3? Watchtower in careful not to apply Matthew 5:3 to the anointed alone. It is only on rare occasion(s) when discussing the reward of Matthew 5:3 that they exclusively apply the heavenly reward to the only anointed. In discussing the need to be spiritually conscious, the organization applies this to all members (except for the Awake June 8, 1971 and Watchtower of February 15, 2009) and rightly so as anyone that has decided to be seek God for his deliverance is conscious of his spiritual needs. In all occurrence of Mt 5:3, much time and attention are paid to what it means to be conscious of ones’ spiritual needs and how we can do that, (except the reward of being spiritually conscious). What then does it mean to be conscious of our spiritual need (poor/beggars in the spirit)? The greek word used in Mt 5:3 is “pto·khos'” means poor ones as can be seen in the Kingdom Interlinear, published by the watchtower. Insight on the scriptures, volume 1, page 279 quoting M. R. Vincent’s Word Studies in the New Testament says, says regarding the Greek word “pto·khos'” used in Matthew 5:3, “it is very graphic and appropriate here, as denoting the utter spiritual destitution, the consciousness of which precedes the entrance into the kingdom of God, and which cannot be relieved by one’s own efforts, but only by the free mercy of God.” Think of a beggar or a poor person, such a person is in a very bad situation that his survival necessarily to depend on others. The expression, destitute is used to describe their situation. Destitute describes lack, a lack of necessities of life. A beggar is in a physical destitute situation, lacking the needs of life, things in which to survive with. Therefore, the beggar's survival depends on others, which the beggar is aware of. Jesus using the expression, "poor in spirit" does not in any way encourage poverty or for one to be spirituality malnourished. Rather, it shows the destitute condition, a true state of spiritual helplessness that one discovers and understands that they are truly poor or beggars, that their salvation does not depend on their own strength or abilities. It was as a result of realizing our spiritually empty position, our own sins that cause us to turn to God, we were never self-satisfied or proud in heart, thinking we do not need God or need to follow his ways for salvation. The bible warns “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”-James 4:6 Should we take the liberty to replace the word “poor” or “beggars” with the word “humble”, we would truly appreciate Jesus message. It that case, it would read thus: “Blessed are the [humble] in spirit, for there is the kingdom of heaven”. Pride can be of different forms, but the worse is spiritual pride. Often, the richer we are in things, the poorer we are in our hearts. However, that is where the problem lies. Humanism says man does not need a Savior; should not rely on the gospel or need any spiritual direction. This is opposite of the “poor in spirit”, this sort of arrogance spirit is illustrated by the Babylonian Ruler of Isaiah 14:12-15. Similar perspective in attitude is demonstrated by those who attempted to build the tower of Babel. The prime motive was the glory of man. They were not “poor in spirit”, but were rich in human pride. Therefore, to be poor in spirit means to recognize our utter spiritual bankruptcy situation before God. An understanding that we have absolutely nothing of worth to offer God, an admittance that, because of our sin, we are completely destitute and cannot do anything to deliver ourselves from this pitied situation. Jesus is basically saying, 'no matter your status in life, you must recognize your spiritual poverty before you can come to God in faith to receive salvation He offers'. Mt 5:3 is impressing in our minds and heart the need to realize that we are spiritually empty, poor, destitute before without God and that it is only depending on God can he fill that emptiness. This is about knowing you are spiritually poor, a state of spiritual consciousness or being “conscious of your spiritual needs”. The rendering, "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need" used in the NWT is strikingly thoughtful, impressing on all the consciousness of a spiritual need. We cannot depend on ourselves. How then does being poor in spirit result in the kingdom of heaven? If we are poor in spirit, we will have a honest assessment of ourselves or our abilities. We will not think too much of ourselves, boast in our abilities. In practical situation, we know how difficult it is to work with people who are proud of themselves, who cannot learn, grow or accept correction because they are trying to maintain an inflated picture of themselves. We will be like the young children who Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 “Truly I say to you, unless you turn around and become as young children, you will by no means enter into the Kingdom of the heavens.” Children are meek, submissive and always ready to learn with wide, eager eyes. God seeks such spirit in us, a childlike submissiveness and meekness, a gleeful childlike heart and a childlike faith. Yes, this are the very attitude that God requires of those who will enter the kingdom of the heavens. Childlike spirit, poor or beggars in the spirit, conscious of our spiritual need, which we can only fill by turning to our Lord and savior Christ. Interesting, the watchtower organisation does not spend much time in expanding the basic concept of Mt 5:3. It is only recently, that I came to the realization of what Jesus was talking about. What then is the reward of being poor/beggars in the spirit? Or what is the reward of being conscious of our spiritual needs? Mt 5:3 answers,"the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them". I have known many JWs, who I know and believe are conscious of their spiritual needs. It was as a result of these consciousness that they turn to Jesus for salvation, leaving behind their false gods. It was because they were conscious of their spiritual needs that they confess their faith in Jesus, and became baptized, pray daily, depend on God for salvation. |

Restroom:Mattew 5:5 reads in NWT "Matthew 5: 5: Happy are the mild-tempered [meek], since they will inherit the earth." Let's have a deeper understand on this scripture. It would seem Jesus was quoting from Ps 37:11, which carries a similar statement. “But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” The Hebrew word ‘yarash yaresh’, means to possess, to inherit, one meaning can be substituted for another, purely a choice of the translator. To be meek does not denote being weak, rather it denotes strength that is brought under control, channeled into the service of God. The bible describes Moses as the meekest man on all the earth. Jesus declares himself to be meek or mild-tempered (See Matthew 11:29). Therefore, scripturally, being meek or mild-tempered denotes one who channels his strength into service of God and others. Zephaniah 2:3 declares the meek ones as those who have kept Jehovah’s decrees. The watchtower themselves ‘understand’ this scripture is primarily applied to Jesus. Jesus is the preeminent mild-tempered one, who will inherit the earth. Jehovah God has appointed him to be “heir of all things,” including this earth. In fact, ‘the nations are to be his inheritance, and the ends of the earth his possession.’ (See the watch tower 1966, August 1, page 451; Insight on the Scriptures volume 1, page 1201, the watch tower 2009, February 15, page 7, paragraph His followers too, who are join heirs with Christ also inherit the earth. As a result of Christ’s death and resurrection and their faith in the power of this, His followers had now become “sons of God” and therefore also became joint-heirs of Christ and heirs of God, to whom ‘the earth and its fullness’ belongs. So, Jesus anointed followers, his brothers become sharers with Jesus’ inheritance, the earth.Inherit means to come into possession of or receive especially as a right or divine portion. (To use one definition ). The point is, you cannot inherit something that does not belong to you or has not be deeded to you in accordance with legal succession. Merely living in somewhere or in a place does not make you an inheritor of the place. You cannot inherit a compound in which you live, it can only occur as a result of you being a heir of the compound or through some legal succession, which in any case, the place was handed over to you. Jesus is legally, according to God's will the chief inheritor of the earth. It belongs to him, however, his anointed followers are heirs with him of the promise of inheritance. The meek cannot inherit the earth unless they are joint heirs with him, they must be anointed with God's holy spirit, with full promise of following the lamb wherever he goes. Interestingly, living in place and inheriting the place is [b]not [/b]the same thing. You cannot inherit your where you live, unless it has rightly been handed over to you as your possession or inheritance. All Jws should ask themselves, if the watchtower organization primarily applies Mt 5:5 to Jesus and his anointed followers, and yet they are (will be) in heaven, why are they also promising me the same inheritance of the earth to us? You cannot inherit what does not rightly belong to you, can you? If majority of JWs are going to inherit the earth, (as they apply Mt 5:5), are they not also joint heirs with Jesus, are they not Christ anointed brothers too? |

Restroom:The bible has in no where referred to Jesus sheep as in two categories, neither does it in anywhere shows their reward is different. Jesus promised to make his sheep one, those of the little flock and the other sheep. Who were the little flock? Who were the other sheep? What is their reward? I will respond to these questions shortly. THE LITTLE FLOCK In Lu 12:32, Jesus said: "Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom". The words of verse 32 was preceded by admonitions given on what should be the proirity in the lives of his disciples, that they should not be anxious over anything, God take care of the lilies, flying births, ravens, encouraging his listeners to "stop seeking what you will eat and what you will drink, and stop being in anxious suspense; for all these are the things the nations of the world are eagerly pursuing, but your Father knows you need these things. Instead, keep seeking his Kingdom, and these things will be added to you." Then in verse 32, he admonish them. "Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom" WHO WERE THIS LITTLE FLOCK? In clear simple answer, the little sheep were the Jews or, at least those who had faith in Jesus. In Mt 10:5,6, Jesus instructed his disciples "Do not go off into the road of the nations, and do not enter any Sa·marʹi·tan city; but instead, go continually to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Compare with Isaiah 53:6; Ezekiel 34:6; Acts 13:45, 46) In the same way, Jesus said to the Phoenician woman, "I was not sent forth to any but the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Mt 15:24). Still in another occassion, to an army officer, a gentile,Jesus said, "I tell You the truth, with no one in Israel have I found so great a faith". (Mt 8:5-13) Earlier, before Jesus came to the earth, it was God's plan to give the heavenly Kingdom to the Jews who obeyed him. After their deliverance form the land of Egypt, He had said to them in Ex 19:5,6: "YOU yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, that I might carry YOU on wings of eagles and bring YOU to myself. And now if YOU will strictly obey my voice and will indeed keep my covenant, then YOU will certainly become my special property out of all [other] peoples, because the whole earth belongs to me. And YOU yourselves will become to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." (Compare with Deut 7:6; Is 61:6; These offer was extened to all, Jews and Gentile, who had faith in Jesus after he ended the old law covenant and brought a new, everlasting covenant. Please see 1 Pe 2:9; Re 5:10) In Mt 8:11 - 13, Jesus referred to the disobedient Jews as the sons of the Kingdom, who would be thrown outside. God's Kingdom in heaven was actually prepared for them, but they repeated hurt God, disobey him and spurn his covenant. However, they had not been obedience to him nor kept his covenant. They continue to disobey God and when Jesus came, they wanted to/even kill him. Among the Jews, few people had faith in Jesus and followed him. The context of Luke 12 shows that Jesus was addressing those who were his followers, who had faith him him and obeyed him. It was to this crowd of people, who were listening to Jesus, that He said, have no fear little flock, for your father has approved of giving you the Kingdom. He also said, sell your belongings give gift of mercy,...be dressed and ready and have your lamps burning...etc. These words were not directed to the pharisees, but to those who had faith in Jesus to apply them. The little sheep therefore, was those of the Jews who had come to Jesus was their sheperd. WHO WERE THE OTHER SHEEP In simple, clear answer to the question, the other sheep were the gentiles. Jesus said in John 10:16, "And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those too I must bring in, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd." First, notice that the words of John 10:16 is part of Jesus response to the questions the Pharisee asked in John 9:40. From the time of God’s promise to Abraham forward, the Scriptures continually pointed forward to and prophesied of the time when God would join people of all nations into one people, his people under his Messiah.(Please read Genesis 12:3; 22:18; 28:14; Psalm 22:27; 47:8; 86:9; 72:17; Isaiah 2:2; 11:10; 19:23-25; 49:6; Zeph 2:11; Haggai 2:7; Zec 8:23; Amos 9:11, 12; Acts 15:15-18; Galatians 3:8.) The gentiles were formerly not among God's special people, but constrasting their attitute with those of the Jews, they were a people who had exceeding faith. The could be seen in the case of the Phoenician woman and the Army officer mentioned earlier. In view of all the prophecies pointing to this, it would be most unusual if Jesus had not given a parable illustrating the entry of Gentiles into unity with Jewish believers. The Jews had rejected Jesus, who God sent to them (Mt 15:24, 8:5-13). No wonder Jesus said, about them, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her brood of chicks under her wings! But you did not want it. Look! Your house is abandoned to you." In another instance, the apostle Paul had said regarding the unreceptive Jews, "It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken first to you. Since you are rejecting it and do not judge yourselves worthy of everlasting life, look! we turn to the nations. For Jehovah has commanded us in these words: ‘I have appointed you as a light of nations, for you to be a salvation to the ends of the earth.’" How would the Pharisees, who believed the Jews alone were God's chosen people, have understood Jesus having "other sheep which are not of this fold"? How strange those words would have been to his Jewish disciples, for as the apostle Peter said later to the gentile Cornelius, "You well know how unlawful it is for a Jew to join himself to or approach a man of another race; yet God has shown me I should call no man defiled or unclean. Hence, I came, really without objection, when I was sent for" (Ac 10:28) A fold is a yard, at the time of speaking, Jesus was only gathering the obedient Jews into his yard. But in John 10:16, he indicated the gathering of non-jews, into the one flock, with him being the one shepherd. After his death and resurrection, the time was now ripe for bringing of the other sheep, for Jesus commision his disciples, this time, to "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations" (Mt 28:19), in direct contrast with his earlier warning not to "go off into the road of the nations, and do not enter any Sa·marʹi·tan city; but instead, go continually to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Mt 10:5,6) The apostle Peter was sent forth by the angels because it was time for Jesus words of Jn 10:16 to see fulfilment. Therefore, he told Cornelius, "God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteously is acceptable to him". (Ac 10:34,35) The main message of the Christian Greek Scriptures is that Jesus New Covenant applied to both Jews and Gentiles. Jesus said of the other sheep, "which are not of these fold, those also i must bring and they must listen to my voice and would become one flock, one sheperd." The word "not from this fold" (Greek ek, indicate origin, not catergory nor destination), implies they are from a different source, a gentile source. This is clearly understood from the context of Jesus words, where in answer to the questions from the Pharisees in John 9:40, describes himself as the fine sheperd, who know his sheep and his she knows him, who gives his life for his sheep etc. In line with this, the apostle Paul describe the union between the gentiles and the Jews, as one sheep, under one shepherd, with nothing seperating them nor any special favor for one over another. He said: "Therefore, remember that at one time you, people of the nations by fleshly descent, were the ones called “uncircumcision” by those called “circumcision,” which is made in the flesh by human hands. At that time you were without Christ, alienated from the state of Israel, strangers to the covenants of the promise; you had no hope and were without God in the world. But now in union with Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have come to be near by the blood of the Christ. For he is our peace, the one who made the two groups one and destroyed the wall in between that fenced them off. By means of his flesh he abolished the enmity, the Law of commandments consisting in decrees, in order to make the two groups in union with himself into one new man and to make peace, and to reconcile fully both peoples in one body to God through the torture stake, because he had killed off the enmity by means of himself. And he came and declared the good news of peace to you who were far off, and peace to those near, because through him we, both peoples, have free access to the Father by one spirit." - Ephesians 2:11-18 In simple terms, the other sheep was clearly the gentiles, Nigeria included. In his book, In search of Christian freedom, former governing body member, Late Bro Raymond Franz wrote concerning the discussion on the topic of the other sheep of John 10:16, "When I was talking with a respected member of the Branch Committee of a major European country, this text came up in the conversation. At the mere reference to it, and with no comment from me or any previous discussion of it, he immediately said: “That obviously applies to the Gentiles.”Despite all the intricate argumentation watchtower will present to suppress the teachings of the bible, it seems evident from the christian greek scriptures that a true Christian is a true Christian. The inspired Scriptures themselves plainly know and present no other kind. All who hear the good shepherd’s voice are called on to show the same kind of faith and love, the same fruitage of God’s Spirit, enjoying the same relationship with Him as sons. Two differing kinds of Christian “sheep” is the product of human invention. I will stop there. For further reading, please visit https://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/great-crowd-other-sheep.php and https://www.baruq.uk/perimeno_other_sheep.html. Both are well researched and written, i sincerely believe you will learn a lot from it. PLEASE NOTE: Personally, I do not agree with the conclusions drawn by baruq.uk that "the vast majority of the other sheep will share in transforming the earth into the paradise God meant it to be, along with God original sheep, the Jews. Among them will be the faithful men and women of old that Paul partially lists in Hebrews Chapter 11" My reasons are simple. There are no scriptural support for such conclusions. He 11:15,16 indicate that God will give a heavenly reward for those ancient servant of God. Ep 4:4 indicates all true Christian have one hope, both jews and gentiles Re 19:1 indicates that the great crowd are in heaven Re 7:9-17 indicates that the great crowd are in God's throne in heaven, just as the angels, the lamb, the 4 living creature, the 24 elders and the 144,000 Mt 8:11-12 indicates Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be in God's kingdom in heaven. |

Restroom:Mathew 5:3 The meek inheriting the earth does not mean they will live on earth forever!. Moses was the meekest of men in his days, what happened to him, and where will he spend eternity, on earth or in heaven?, since he is a meek sheep, as you said?. Mathew 6:9 The kingdom of God is within you, the kingdom of heaven is a particular place, still a part of the kingdom of God, where God's throne is situated. This is where there are many mansions, and it's where Jesus Christ is preparing for his faithful followers no matter where they come from. This current earth will be destroyed and a new one will be formed. You people should please stop making God look powerless and poor. He created the earth all by himself, now He has said, look, after all these nonsense the devil and wicked men are doing has been brought to an end, and my purpose is accomplished, I will wipe away this earth and all its memories, I will bring about a new heaven and a new earth. Why does that sound hard for God to do in watch tower's eyes? Please bro when you read the bible, don't pick a verse and just interpret it on its own basis, scripture must be interpreted with scripture that's what the bible said. Regarding the 144 thousand you people claim are the only ones who will go to heaven, the bible you quoted also gave you the accurate fact and truth if only you will accept it. Please Read Revelation 7:4-17 very meditatively. You will see that the 144 thousand people were sealed from the 12 tribes of Israel alone!. These do not include people of other nations and tongues and tribes. This was done in fulfilment of a promise of God to the Jewish nation that a remnant will be saved for the fact that they were used by God to teach and reach out to all other nations and for the covenant He had with them. Don't forget that the rejection of the Jews. brought about the acceptance of the gentiles. Look at the promise made in the Old Testament in Isaiah, repeated by Paul in the New Testament, and fulfilled in Revelation chapter 7. These are the 144 thousand!. Isaiah 10:22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. Romans 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Now look very carefully, you will see that while John could number the 144 thousand before the throne of God, he could not number the others, which clearly tells you of another set of redeemed souls from all over the world, who are also in heaven standing where the 144 thousand where standing. Do you see that Watch tower is lying and deceiving you people?. Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; How could John not number these people after numbering 144 thousand?, does that not tell you they are a different set of redeemed souls?, and how come they are standing before the throne of God?. Is the throne of God on earth or in heaven?. How did these uncountable people get there?. |

Primesky:Thank you for raising good questions All the scriptures you cited are indeed accurate The differences between our views comes down to interpretation Well, why did God create the earth? Read Isaiah 45:18. Do you think he destroy the physical earth along with bad people? No he created the earth for man to inhabit forever 4:3 Man s home is this earth Will the physical earth be destroyed? What do you think? Read psalms 104:5. The earth has no problem with God The EV doers are the ones who God have issues with the evil doers in it will be cut off Psalms 37:9-11. When Jesus said the Kingdom of God is in your midst, do you think he meant that the kingdom of God is your heart? Was he not the same Jesus who said in Mattew 6:9,10 Our father in the heavens, hallow be thy name, thy Kingdom come? Your will be done on earth as in heaven? So where is the kingdom of God coming to earth from, our hearts? What he told his disciples to preach was this: Repent the kingdom of heavens is at hand God kingdom is in heaven Because, he is the King designate of God s kingdom, that is why Jesus told his listeners, the Kingdom of God is in your midst. If president Buhari's Son tells you face to face that the "the federal government is in your midst, won't you understand what he meant? Jesus WS simply telling his listeners that a representative of God's kingdom was in their midst Now I am glad you qouted verses from revelation and Mattew See I am not the writer of Mattew 5:3,4 I am not the writer of Revelation 14:1-4 I am not the writer if Rev 7-8 and Revelation 7:9 Add Rev 7:13-17. I am glad you dig up these scriptures If you analyze it carefully, The scriptures mentioned. 144,000 sealed from the earth in Rev 7:4 Agrees with Rev 14:1-4 Now take a look at 7:9,13 The bible says in rev 7:9 After this, I saw a great multitude it speaks of the great crowd What is the great crowd? Is it the same as the 144,000 sealed ? No John could not number them because they are a great crowd who survived the destruction of the wicked from the earth and will live in paradise on earth Read rev 14:1-4 it calls 144000 first fruits redeemed from the earth What is first fruit? Well, they represent a special group of limited number of people God will take to live in heaven to rule as kings over the earth Read Rev 5:8,9,10. Those bought from the earth are going to heaven for an assignment a serious assignment of becoming kings and priests with Jesus Christ in his kigdom Rev 11:15 States The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will rule as king forever and ever Will he rule alone? No... The 144000 bought from the earth will rule with him in heaven over the earth Do you know who Jesus and the 140000 individuals redeemed from the earth will rule over? The earth The earth made up of the great multitude you read in Rev 7:9 The great multitude are righteous people who Survive the destruction of the wicked ones on this earth God s kingdom headed by Jesus will rule over them fro. heaven and will be aided by his his 144000 kings redeemed from the earth. The subjects are always more populous than their rulers Those great multitude are obedient Christains who by their lives shows that They are subjects of the invincible Gods kingdom that rules from heaven They are not part of the little flock of 144,000 who Jesus made a covenent for a kingdom, where he said there are many mansions in my father's house. A new heaven and new earth is symbolic language that tells you that Gods kingdom is now the government of the day(represented by heavens) and a earth filled only with righteous people( new earth). |

Restroom:You no be Bible writer yet you choose what is symbolic and what is literal. You no be Bible writer yet you like to assume and make your conclusion from your assumption. 144000 is literal while the 12 tribes of isreal is figurative according to you and your religious leaders Whereas bible said the 144000 are from 12 tribes of isreal. So you expect people to believe you and your leaders and forget what the bible really said? Hmmm cultism. |

[quote author=Restroom post=71055348[/quote]Hmm.. So much write up. I will only focus on key points. First of all, the earth and the heavens will be literally destroyed, and faced out. That's what the bible said, and I think it will be nice to stick to that, rather than what watch tower thinks. Don't try to twist it by assuming it's symbolic, because it's not. Look at the verses below. 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 102:26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: Don't confuse the 1000 years rule of Jesus Christ on earth as the everlasting kingdom, because it's not. A whole lot more will happen before everything is finally destroyed, but never accept the falsehood that the redeemed will live forever on this earth, never!. A new earth directly from heaven will decend into place. But the redeemed are going to be in heaven first!. Secondly, I have shown you clearly that not only 144,000 people will go to heaven. Those are people from Israel alone, sealed by the election of grace. But there are others from all over the world, who will also be in heaven by the merit of the cross of Jesus Christ. These people too will rule. The position of anybody in the coming kingdom will be based on how faithful you were with the little giving to you here on earth. God doesn't play partiality. As a matter of fact, the twelve disciples will be the ones judging the twelve tribes of Israel then. Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Beside the 144,000 Israelites sealed, who were standing before the throne of God, there were uncountable multitude of other people from all over the world also standing before the same throne of God in heaven!. Now, I ask you, watch tower says only 144, 000 will go to heaven, how did this uncountable multitude get there and what are they doing along side the 144,000?. Again, Jesus gave us a clue here. Matthew 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Can you now see that people other than the Israelites will make it to heaven as well?. Please, stop believing the lies of Watch Tower. Come out of them and receive Christ. I make this plea with respect, it's not an insult, but that organization is Antichrist in nature. |

[quote author=Primesky post=71101569][/quote Well....at the end of the day...what you are defending could either be wrong or right There are portions of the scriptures you can explain literally and there are many you can't. Right now, I think I Dont I have the time to start arguing over what you believe or over what I believe. Clearly...Why would God destroy the heavens and the earth literally? And start creating from Afresh? What sin did the literal heavens and earth commit against God? |

His followers too, who are join heirs with Christ also inherit the earth. As a result of Christ’s death and resurrection and their faith in the power of this, His followers had now become “sons of God” and therefore also became joint-heirs of Christ and heirs of God, to whom ‘the earth and its fullness’ belongs. So, Jesus anointed followers, his brothers become sharers with Jesus’ inheritance, the earth.
