LMAOOO!! Mama we meet again. I should be April 1st or 2nd atink. I haven't done any scans so I cant even really say. The exact date of LMP is quite foggy, ugh! Ok, now that my teamie is here with me, maybe it wont be so bad afterall.

eksbabe:
Spiceeamiee, you better lets go to the Pregnancy thread and identify with our teammates grin. Atink you are a March mama abi, i am Team April.
I wasnt exactly happy when i got the BFP, but i just knew this one was here to stay. Only once i did it without protection in my presumed safe period, and i had that gutted feeling i was going to be pregnant(dh actually prayed on my belly after action because mans wanted another baby lol).
I had plans to have a baby next year tho, just thought it would come later, but right now i am particularly happy i will have this baby early next year so i have time to get on with other plans. My prayer now is for God to knack me twins oo and seal this childbearing phase for me. Baba God, abeg.
Congrats dear, you will be fine just keep a positive mind and you know you can still pursue those dreams of yours and still rock at work. Pregnancy is not a disability, you just have to take good care of yourself and dont stress too much. Wish you a very easy bumping wink

Really God's ways are not ours. The second day my period came late,I was shivering.... Why?We just got married like one month away,I just got an international job BT yet to resume cos of visa delay, I could virtually see the life I wanted for myself and family,I just needed more time to put things together before we plan for a baby. We were using condom during sex. How it happened, I can't say .
The moment I told my husband, he ran to the pharmacy to get a pregnancy strip. The moment I saw the two lines,I bursted into tears and concluded that's a pause to my career.
I eventually informed the management and luckily for me,they said I can still come over. We later relocated and I started working with 6months plus belle, really it was not easy BT I give God all the glory.
My baby is 7 weeks now and whenever I look at her,I just keep smiling . I had her and my career didn't stop.
So mama,am sure u r going to push through

Hello mamas please help me. I have been exclusively breastfeeding my 4 months old LO. I'm due to travel for 2 weeks in November so I started by introducing him to formula, but he won't even suck. When he manages to take just a tiny bit, he starts throwing up everything in his tummy. I first thought it was the brand of formula I gave him, but he has done the same even after changing from sma to cow and gate and enfamil. He doesn't even suck expressed breast milk. I have also bought him some already made puree and pudding, that are age appropriate but he still throws up heavily once the spoon touches his mouth. Please help me as I must make this trip and I can't take him along because he doesn't have a visa. I would appreciate your kind inputs. Thank you.

Dear Sabi mamas

Thank you all for your inputs.

I did take your advice and have been massaging his leg. The physio guy said the swelling was supposed to have come down within 3 days. The doc said to give him panda.

Now he stretches the leg and puts a little weight though a bit gingerly. For sure, the massage seems to do the trick.

More sabi-ing to you all. God bless.

Roseey0:

Mama let me just tell you what worked for me even though it's unconventional.

My daughter's immunisation site always come back swollen. She is an active baby, so once she is in pain you will know. That area will hurt so much, even to wear diaper will be a problem. She won't stand firmly or stretch. In our case the 2 legs are always affected.

What we did.
Hot water massage. Hot like the newborn hot water massage. She will cry, yes, but after a while, it will all be over. Secondly. I massaged. Yes,unconventional but I did. Mentolatum mixed with ori. Yes she will cry o, but after some days of applying pressure there, she will start using her legs.

I was team no massage as recommended . 0ur 6weeks swelling lingered for so long, I couldn't do anything. When MIL came and saw it, she cried that day thinking my baby was already paralysed ( one of my SIL is disabled because of an injection gone wrong before her 1yr birthday) So I understood her fear.
She started the hot water massage and in 2 days, my baby's swelling came down and she started to use both legs.
So I did same for her 10 weeks and 14weeks. Even now, the koko for 14weeks injection is still there in one leg, but the swelling has gone and she is actively stretching both legs.

Like I said
This is unconventional but this is equally what worked for me.

[quote author=mamatwiny post=70886334]Hi all,
I refuse to accept or say that I am almost getting frustrated. Baby now sucks but the BM doesn't flow enough. I have turned to pap and milk therapy, but there is very little improvement.

I don't know how old your baby is but if he/she is new born let him/her keep sucking, the flow will definitely improve. You should feed well and drink lots of fluid. All your babies food and water needs are in the bm. There are also immunogenes to keep sickness away. It's not easy but you will be successful

Sorry about the pain mama. The hardness, I believe is normal when it starts to heal (I could be wrong). But if you're sure what you're seeing is pus and not just fluid, you should go to the hospital. Especially if you're feeling feverish. To rule out infection as that can be very dangerous if not caught in good time

I will say keep trying. Don't give up. Even after he throws up, give him again. Nov is still far a bit. He will get use to it over time. Try nan. Most babies I know use nan.
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Ilyfavoured: 6:58am On Sep 08, 2018
The hardness I think is normal. The incision site will still be numb for a while. For the pus, are you still taking your antibiotics? You can switch to zinnat and take for 7 days. It's the best. I don't encourage gambling with antibiotics most of the generic isn't as effective as gsk brand.
Immediately after having a bath pat dry the incision site properly and paint with genital violet in spirit (G.V in spirit). Alternatively you can cover the incision site with plastic bag or waterproof plaster to have a bath.
Mostly importantly don't bend or put any form of strain on the site.
Quick recovery

Get him a visa and go with him that can be arranged between now and November. grin
On a lighter note, try introducing the food gradually especially when he is hungry. You can try feeding milk with syringe and let someone other than you do it with lots of singing and words of encouragement.
Also try feeding at different temperatures. When my lo turns her food down, I feed her with my hand even semi-solids as puree and pap and have her play with the spoon. It's messy but gets some into her month.
All the best

Well it's not abnormal for an ebf baby to poo after feeding. The only downside is that the baby isn't retaining nutrients so may not be chubby but healthy oh YES!
