Is a WES-evaluated transcript accepted by all schools in Canada, at lease for application to get an admission?

After you have been granted admission, will the school still accept the WES-evaluated transcript (can WES send the transcript in hard copy?) in lieu of your transcript from your school?

Please clarify me so that i can understand how doing a WES evaluation can save me money

I think WES can send it by fax or transmit it to the school electronically. I've been using WES and ICAS credentials and have never had cause to go back to my school for another transcript. Problem is that my WES evaluation took over 6 months because they wrote my school to confirm but it wasn't treated. The academic office staff said they were not in receipt of such letter. Months later, I visited the academic office and there it was sitting in a file along with multiple other letters for verification (the poor applicants will be waiting not knowing that their letter is rotting away somewhere)! Kai... Naija!

Please if you secure an Msc for 1year, are you entitled to a work permit thereafter?

You are entitled to one year Post-graduate work permit. You just have to be sure you attend eligible University or college.

WES is not use to verify results rather it is use to evaluate transcripts. it's depends on your intended school whether you're to evaluate your transcripts or send the it directly to your school.
look for schools that will not require you to evaluate transcripts in order to save you some penny.

Thanks very much to you and all who answered switftly

WES stated on my assessment report that they independently verified the authenticity of the results by directly contacting the school for confirmation (Method of Verification of Authenticity). I think they don't do it on all applications but just verify some randomly or if it is suspect because of method of posting. For instance, if your school sends by NIPOST and yours is delivered by DHL, they may write the school directly to reconfirm.
you're right, nonetheless, one should make sure to be upright in his/her academics documentation, any attempt to fabricate documents will be heavily penalized.

Good day Nairalanders,

I have consistently followed this page and I find it so informative. Thank you guys for your dedication.

I am currently undertaking a Masters in South Africa but just applied to study another masters at the university of saskatchewan. I have gotten a supervisor but the program will be fully funded by my parents.

May I know if my sponsor's Nigeria bank account statement can be used to apply for my TRV here in South Africa?. Does it appears safe to apply in South Africa or Nigeria. Thank you as I will need guru's guidance.

Hello,

Since you have a valid study permit in SA, you can apply for a Canadian study permit from there. Do you have a genuine reason why you're going for another masters after your current masters degree in SA. CIC would normally expect you to show a progression in your study. so, I would suggest you explore the possibility of securing a PhD admission. Your Nigeria bank account statement shouldn't be a problem as long as it is verified by the bank (stamped statement and attached cover letter from the bank).

Regards.

admission is not thigh bro as long as you provide the requirements on the school page and as for schools all of them are safe so do a little bit of online research and come back so the gurus in the house can guide you further.

Thank you boss..

I really appreciate your response..
I will try address the questions asked by you.. However, I want to focus on another area of research in my field which South African univerities do offer at the moment. I will prove that out convincingly in my SOP.

Thank you once again..

Research into the University of Alberta and McGill University, they have some of the best funding packages in Canada. Just write a good SOP. If you need easier schools with less funding packages then consider Memorial University of Newfoundland or University of Manitoba.

Some schools don’t require WES evaluated transcripts in canada as they prefer their in house evaluations.
However , more verified info can be gotten by maling the admissions office in your required school. If you already have you can make a request to the graduate program coordinator that you be allowed to apply with it. No harm in trial.

If WES is accepted by the school yes they can , if to request with a fee of course send the hard copy to your desired institution.
That is where saving cash comes in
Because in the average the cost of sending transcripts form WES is cheaper and less stressful than from most Nigerian schools
So WES saves you the stress and wahala of exams and records coupled with cash.
Like I said only if your school accepts it.
