Ipob Proposed Sit At Home On The 14th Of This Month An Advantage To Apc N Buhari by ashacot(op): 6:06pm On Sep 10, 2018
As the 2019 election draws closer, the two major political parties would be jostling for votes. Both parties Knows where they would get bulk votes from. While it is expected that the APC will get bulk votes from North east and North West, The PDP are favored to get bulk votes from South south and South East.

However, with this in mind, the recent call for sit at home by IPOB on the 14th of this month will be a big blow for the PDP on their quest to get the bulk votes in south east. While i am not in anyway opposing the call by IPOB, it is worthy to note that majority of APC and president Buhari opposers are mainly people of south east. With this call and if the exercise is successful, it will successfully solidify the already worrisome voters apathy in south east and with IPOB also saying that there will also call for SIT AT HOME ACROSS ALL IGBOLAND IN NEXT YEAR GENERAL ELECTION, it will further deplete the votes PDP desperately needs to challenge the APC.

For example, the last year's Anambra Governorship election. After Ipob call for a SIT AT HOME on the day of the election, PDP embarrassingly came third in the election. Now Finishing behind incumbent APGA was not shameful, but finishing behind APC in a region popularly known as PDP Stronghold is even more alienating.

While the PDP should worry about what APC will throw at them in the forthcoming election, they should also worry about the activities of IPOB too.

IPOB keeps shooting the ball into their own net

IPOB needs to evolve from a separatist movement to civil rights movement
majority of what they are seeking is achievable within Nigeria

If IPOB know anything they would have been leading a voter registration drive in the South East to ensure Buhari does not return

This sit at home means absolutely nothing. you have a private shop and you organise a bunch of people to have a collective one day holiday then what?

It is IPOB's intention to boycott the 2019 election. They going to ask everyone in the SE/SS area to boycott the 2019 elections. Personally, I think the boycott next year will be successful in the SE and some parts of the SS.

No doubt that such a boycott will help APC, however, IPOB does not care about who wins or loses elections in Nigeria. They don't care about Nigeria, period. Who can blame them? Things will only get worse in Nigeria no matter if APC or PDP wins. So what is the point of going to vote?

As if votes count anymore when APC or the northern oligarchs are determined to 'win' an election at any cost...esp' one as strategic as the presidential!

If SE like they can deliver 15 million votes to PDP next year. APC and the core muslim north will be watching you by the sidelines, leaning relaxed on the wall with a smug grin on their faces! They'll see your 15 million, turn round and reach into their strategic vote reserve to pull out 50 million votes for the NW alone, drop it on the table and tell you you're learners in the game! shocked

Op, you are very correct. The major beneficiaries of this sit at home is the APC while the loosers will be, IPOB and the entire Igbo's. To achieve this sit at home, APC and the North won't mind sponsoring it. grin grin

I urge IPOB terrorist, to go on with the plan sit at home. Nigerian's support this move.

Down is what kanu said about 2015 presidential election, and because of that i personally didn't vote.

On 6th Nov 2014:
Between Jonathan and
Buhari, none is good for us. Freedom remains our only
option; Jonathan is weak
and confused, Buhari is a
bloodthirsty tyrant, who will
destroy the land with his
sectional views. His kinsmen will take over the military
and the security architecture
of the land. Christians and
Easterners will become
endangered species; He will
use the security apparatus to advance the agenda of his
ethnic group. My people will
suffer.”
