Hi Guys,

I'm currently in the ECA stage.
Can I go ahead to get my reference letter from a previous employer that I want to claim 1 year from?
Even though I might be in the pool by 2019?

Sorrry if this question has been asked.

NO 1 is the best option. Of course VO's are not dumb. They know the wife will also be going.
playee77:
Good morning Cannylanders.
Which of these options do you think is better? The hubby is the PA, however, about 60% of the POF is coming from the Father-in-law (Wife's Dad).
Which of these is the most preferable method to transfer and document the money?
1. Transfer the money directly to his son-in-law's account (that has the remaining 40% POF) and do a gift deed to him? (Stating in the gift deed that he is supporting his daughter and her husband with this so so amount.) OR
2. Transfer the money to his daughter (wife) who writes a letter of consent (stating that her hubby has full access to the money) plus the gift deed from the father. OR
2. Transfer the money to his daughter (wife) who then in turn transfer to her hubby's account (PA) supporting it with gift deed from her father and an LOE explaining the transfer to the husband.

I suggested the first option, because it looks less complicated and very straightforward. However, the couple is concerned that, the relationship might seem too long (i.e Father to Son-In-Law) to drop such cash.

Please elders weigh in on this.
Thank you.

Good day everyone. I have an important question to ask.......is it possible to land in a state that wasn't filled in during the application. For example probably I filled Ontairo in my application and on leaving Nigeria I will be landing and settling in British Columbia..... is it possible to do that without any complications

I believe alot of people have done this without any problem. What if there is no direct flight to the province you wish to land?

No complications whatsoever. Except you're sponsored by a province... then you'll be morally obliged to live in the province for a certain period of time.

Hello everyone.

I am new to this whole Canada immigration thing. I am about to apply for my ECA. I am a lawyer doing an MBA. I should be rounding up early next year. Do you think that I should wait for the result of my MBA or just go ahead and apply with my degree and law school Certificates?

If U evaluate Ur law degree with IQAS U should get an equivalent of professional degree which is also same as what Ur MBA will give U. So U can go ahead with it evaluation with IQAS unless U want to use WES, den U wait for Ur MBA.

Thanks newmum0615 and dondee07.

Just wounderibg why people prefer WES with their WAEC wahala. Is there any demerit in using ICES? Pls pardon my curiosity...

WES has the shortest turn around time of all the evaluating bodies.

WES: 4 weeks
ICES: 8 weeks.
