This is an unfair comparison , but my dad's Shagari won't outrun my car, which is an American brand, an I4 (albeit turbocharged), 6 speed transmission, puts out up to 240hp and about 270lb-ft of torque...

Will my dad's E200 outrun my car, yes it will. That's because of its specs, not the brand. While Benz is known for performance, not all Benz can be synonymous to performance. This car didn't win just because it is a Benz.

Stop making baseless assumptions, a C63 AMG engine has over TWICE the horsepower of an ordinary C300. An ordinary C300 cannot beat a Porsche Panamera in a drag race. An ordinary C300 is not up to 250hp, but a Panamera is over 300hp.

I remember watching a car race on YouTube involving a 2012 Dodge Challenger and a 2017 Ford mustang obviously newer tech, better displacement and upgraded chips as opposed to the Dodge's outdated tech.
