No sibling o....na cousin (different surnames unfortunately). PhD kwa?No spouse. Now the two options I'm interested in but have not fully understood are the PNP and the LMIA thingy...my cousin owns a business in Canada. Visiting a baba is obviously out of the question! Lol
Ifeoma77:

You're already a guru as well so I'm sure you are aware of the options to boost scores.
1. PNP
2. PhD
3. TEF
4. Sibling in Canada
5. Job in Canada (with a LMIA)
6. Younger spouse becomes the PA
7. Visit your Baba and let him crash the cutoff scores grin grin

Where exactly is your cousin? You can find out more about PNP on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs

It all makes sense to me now. I was wondering how concealment was misrepresentation. So its about the claim for FULL TIME.
Estac:
True. Also when you consider that the work experience is supposed to be FULL TIME not part time. How do you hold a bank job and still work full time on your personal business. That is the biggest misrepresentation i see in the story. The fact that he claimed points for full time work when in fact, he could only have worked part-time.

You should know that getting LMIA is very very difficult. PNP seems to be the safest bet here. If your cousin resides in Manitoba, he might be able to sponsor you.
Scores might still drop, it's possible.

I haven't gotten PPR yet, but I got my GCMS notes. I claimed 1yr work experience from 23rd July 2016 to 25th March 2018 (40hrs/week). My calculation was simple, 23rd July 2016 to 31st (just to be safe) July 2017 would count as 1year; then August 2017 to March 2018 would be jara.

From my notes, the case analyst stated that I claimed 1year experience but summed up my overall experience, based on the dates stated, to 1year and 9months. If you want to be extra careful, maybe go with what others have said. Hope this helps.

bronze25:
Good morning fam. Please I have a little concern with regards to my reference letter.

Firstly, the words 'full time' was not stated in the letter but the number of working hours (40hours/week) was mentioned.

Secondly, I don't know if the date mentioned qualifies for one year (eg 23 March 2017- 11 March 2018).

These two issues have been bothering me. Please I would appreciate your kind advise.
Thanks

Please I need an advice.

When taking family pictures with Studio 24, Do I request for soft copies also or would a scan of the hard copies suffice?

Hi my people smiley

So I just got my GCMS Notes now. VO is Ottawa. For us still in different stages of this Express Entry process, whether ECA, IELTS, Medicals, awaiting ITA/Post-ITA, may God crown our efforts with success and fill our mouths with testimonies (I know I'm ready to give a long testimony).

Let us keep the faith. It will surely end in praise.

Good afternoon my good people!

I have my little concern this morning when I was going through NOC(don't even know why I decided to check it thoroughly today)
I am a lawyer with 6years post call experience...I'm currently working in a construction coy as the legal manager...but I discovered that my current job title is excluded from the lawyer and Quebec....

My worry now is...can I change the job title on my reference letter to a more acceptable one like Legal advisor as it is listed among the job titles under NOC 4112

Please I will appreciate sounds opinions from the elders @newmum @Ethelia.

Thanks in anticipation.

The list of example titles under any NOC is not exhaustive. Use your title as it is. What matters is your duties matching those of the NOC by at least 70%.

My opinion:
You mustn’t necessarily do business in the name you registered the company.
If you can show that the name of your company is “soso multibiz”, Doing Business As “soso builders” that should suffice.
It is common for companies to do business in names other than their registered names.

Thank you wink

For all those concerned about processing timelines, a point:

September is a month of double processing for IRCC. It is a month when 4 ITA rounds eAPR submission deadline expires.

90 days: #92 – June 13, 2018 and #93 – June 25, 2018
60 days: #94 – July 11, 2018 and #95 – July 25, 2018

Congrats my sister @dumprep

Any gist from your GCMS that we can learn from?

Everytime any of us go for the GCMS note is always a good opportunity learn one or two things about the workings of the mind of the immigration system.

It will all end in praise IJN!

Good afternoon my good people!

Thanks in anticipation.

The focus is more on your actual duties than the title. So, as long as your duties match the NOC you are claiming, you should be fine.
