Chai, so emotional. Ojukwu was a great man who saw tomorrow when his peers couldn't see beyond their noses!! If only the people of the Niger Delta knew what Nigeria would later become, if only the people of the middle belt knew how their ancestral lands would later be turned into killing fields, and if only the Yorubas were courageous enough to stand on what they believed in (remember that Awolowo and indeed the majority of yorubas wanted Oduduwa republic but we're afraid to challenge the North). They all wouldn't have ganged up against the Igbos and all these people would probably be enjoyed peace and progress but look at where we are today!! Indeed a coward dies many times before his actual death! Ojukwu has been vindicated, Igbos opting out and fighting to defend their land for good three years have been vindicated as well. Just take a look at the Nigeria Gowon and Awolowo among the rest fought to keep as one and tell me if it is worth it?? Well, they won the battle and yet still lost the fight because we are more divided today than we have ever been and the country is still headed for the rocks.
