Obiano is simply the best. By the time his 8 years are through, it would be hard to recognize Anambra again. The new commissioner for works is a round peg in a round hole.
But the second picture is ugwuanyi's opi-Nsukka road. This is what obiano should replicate on oba-Nnewi road

Golden Guinea Breweries set to re-enter beer market
July 04, 2018

Golden Guinea Breweries has announced it would make its re-entry into the nation’s beer market next month. According to a report by BusinessDay, the Umuahia-based brewer is nearing the completion of a major overhaul and upgrade of its production facilities following a fire outbreak in 2003 that led to the closure of the brewing company.

The company said its new equipment has an installed capacity of 48,000 bottles per hour, which represents 1.15 million bottles per day, twice the installed capacity of the old equipment which produced 24,000 bottles per hour and more than double what its competitors at Nigerian Breweries’ Ama, Enugu plant and International Breweries Onitsha brewery produces.

Pan Marine investments Limited, the core investor in Golden Guinea Breweries Plc said the company’s share trade at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) will resume in the near future once its operations gets off the ground.

The company’s minders revealed that the firm’s products will not be limited to the Eastern states, but across the country.

“Our distribution is not going to focus only on the Eastern States but will be distributing our drinks across Nigeria. We must ensure our drinks are in Lagos and other states in the West, North and Southern Nigeria, while also consolidating our premier position in the East,” a representative of Pan Marine Investments Limited said.

In terms of the ongoing retooling of the company’s facilities, the core investor said it has installed new fermenting equipment, Bright Beer tank (BBT) units, new boilers, C02 equipment, mash filter units, grain handling equipment, weighing scale, hammer mill, roller mill, polisher receiving scale and silos.

The result is that from distribution networks to support services, there is new lease of life. Everyone from suppliers to contractors, engineers, plumbers, accountants and even food sellers feel the good times are back.

“If you know Umuahia, you will understand what I am telling you. Golden Guinea is not just a company; it is the pride of the people of Umuahia, nay Abia State. It has been closed down for about 13 years and we are very happy that in a very short while, it will resume production,” said a commercial driver named Obi to a BusinessDay reporter.

“We can’t wait to drink ‘Oyoyo mmi’ which is an Igbo name the beer brand is known for”.

The core investor promised to engage up to 10,000 direct and indirect staff, majority of which will be sourced locally, thereby creating positive impact on Nigeria’s labour market.

“The good thing is that this is a private sector-led enterprise”.

The investor revealed it is also installing its own independent power supply.

“Despite dedicated power line, we are also constructing independent power to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the brewery,” the firm said.

Golden Guinea Breweries first commenced business in 1963, following the independence of Nigeria. At the time, it was called Independence Breweries Limited. It had an initial installed capacity of 1 million gallons. The company introduced Eagle Stout in 1967 but was interrupted by the breakout of the Nigerian civil War between 1967 and 1970.

The company changed its name in 1971 to Golden Guinea Breweries following the end of the civil war. In 1975, it underwent a major retooling, adding extensions. The company’s products also expanded to include Golden Guinea Lager, Bergedorf Premium Lager and Bergedorf Malta, all under licensing from Holsten Brauerei AG of Hamburg, Germany.

Golden Guinea Breweries suffered a fire outbreak in 2003 leading to a closure of the plant. Successive governments in Abia State set in motion the ground for its eventual resuscitation.

China is using its military to plant trees and forest the size of Ireland! Is that not smart and super strategic thinking? Knowing the damaging environmental effects of their neck paced industrialisation, they are already planning to implement natural bio-based buffer and balancing. Already, industrial pollution and green house degradation are literal concerns in China. How about if all the road sweepers and janitors employed by the different state governments incorporate tree planting into their routine? In a year, hundreds of thousands of trees will be planted and in another 10 years,Igboland will be the most eco friendly region in Sub-Saharan Africa. That alone will market us even without a single advert. Again, only if Government can be run like a business and logic of the free market. https://video.facc4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t42.9040-2/41789723_2154108507933813_3793104636659892224_n.mp4?_nc_cat=1&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6InN2ZV9zZCJ9&oh=991b669062f785d1e771cf819ceafa97&oe=5BA05112

My people, I am one of the people who loves talk and do. I have sent a mail to FOTO, a subsidiary of Gettyimages this morning. I told them that the southeast Nigeria has passed the era of war torn villages with underdevelopment but has made great leaps in technology, education, commerce, tourism and real estate.

Though I branded myself as a brand Specialist, I asked them to reach me for updates on new development and exciting pictures of our people.

We move only upwards. I am waiting for their replies.

Their mail is: editor.foto@gettyimages.com.

You are free to bombard them with photos. Company name is: Pan-igbo Forum.

While we have vigorously focused on and discussed extensively the political and economic development of Igboland,it is worthy to note we have not even made a casual mention of Igbo history, culture, tradition, value system and world view of our different communities.
Some phantom studies mentioned Igbo language wil go extinct in another quarter of a century. None of us has even mentioned cultural revival in all our developmental recommendations.
Are we aware that any man or group disconnected from their roots live and act rudderless without an identifiable world view except foreign concept sold forced on him/them?
Are we aware that prostitution, masquerade, deities and oracles, monarchy, extreme individualism, aso ebi, feminism, killing of twins and the creeping disdain for all things culture and tradition are foreign and imported trends into Igboland?
We cannot create the Igbo of our dreams without a vibrant and strong cultural awareness. Time to start asking questions, making researches and emphasizing on the progressive aspects of our culture.

Lolllzzz...All those guys there speak central Igbo better than half of us on this forum. Get close to them in their unguarded moments and you go shock pass electric! Part of Peter Odili's community falls into Imo State so what differentiate him from his Imo kin? Nothing! These guys know the truth but are fettered by a combination of the post war Oil politics through boundary adjustment, sustained anti-Igbo propaganda championed by the Ijaws+Caliphate and Yorubas for sinister reasons. It is a whole lotta complications and crap. Be rest assured that should the political dynamics change tomorrow, you will see all these madness fly out of the window! Are you aware that Marshal Harry,Asari Dokubo,Magnus Abe and a host of other Riverians with English names are originally Igbo people who only took the alternative identity for politically expedient reasons? The kind of destructive, demonic and toxic political and economic assault launched at Igbos post civil war has no parallel anywhere. We shall overcome.

Those people shouldn't be occupying a centre place in our discussions anymore.
We no longer give a damn, they can as well not be Igbos.
There isn't anything particularly good about them to fawn over.
As it is, it's even more dangerous to incorporate them back if they ask for it.
We don't want again.

Biko STOP using a blanket word to taint ALL ikwerres because of Amaechi.

I hate the way Nigerians love to taint everybody from one ethic group because of a single individual they met. Ibos are this or that,! As if they have met even 1% of Igbos in the world to come to their ignorant conclusion

Is there really an identity debate? I personally don't think so. It is a matter of awareness and perspective. For instance, the current Secretary General of Ohanaze Ndigbo is an Ikwerre Man. His delivery at the last Ala Igbo Development Converge in Enugu was mind-blowing and liberating. He is a proud Igbo man. The only reason Peter Odili was denied the VP spot with Yar-Adua was because he was Igbo.Edwin Clark reportedly opposed and openly mentioned no Igbo should be allowed to go that far from Rivers State and ended up throwing up GEJ. The rest they say is history. One of the pro-Igbo veterans on this forum was Ezepromoe. He never failed to remind anyone that cared he was Rivers and full blooded Igbo. Duncan Mighty flaunts his Igbo credentials at each point. Many more are here, following this thread and those who have seen the light should be encouraged. It is an open discussion. No one is claiming anyone or forcing anyone.

I like people like you that understand what Igboland actually needs. Governors, secessionists and other politicians will never develop Igboland to the taste of ambitious Igbos that want future reverse migration. It is Igbos in diaspora that must bring home their experiences and wealth to develop Igboland for the return of their children to a befitting homeland. That's what Israel did and since we have same spirit with Israelis then we should emulate.

The worst thing any successful Igboman can do is join Nigerian politics. It is a virus that kills good intents and twists your personality to typical Naija greed.
