This is splendid, this is massive, this is breathtaking.
With Obijackson Children Hospital I think Igboland is becoming great. Even the massive hospital GUO Transport built at Adazi-Ani called Rise Clinic is another powerful health facility in Igboland.

Here is the roll call of notable health facilities in the east:
1.Obijackson Children hospital Okjija
2.Dr Maduka's global hospital Umuchukwu.
3.Rise Clinic Adazi-Ani
4.Enugu ultra Modern Diagnostic hospital
5.Dr Benjamin Anyanwu Stroke Hospital Owerri.
6. Federal Medical Centres Asaba,Owerri,Umuahi and Abakaliki
7.Ebonyi State teaching Hospital
8.UNTH
9.Unizik TH
10.National Orthopeadic Hospital Enugu.
11.Parklane Enugu
In the final analysis,Dr Maduka's hospital will reverse health tourism migration in Nigeria to Igboland. I am sure, given the clout he displayed so far,he will attract attract international donor agencies, foundations and notable international assistance to equip and uplift that facility.I think i saw the model somewhere and it looked too good to be true but still were realizable within a short time frame.
In sane climes,People like Dr Maduka will be consulted and given a mandate to revive the health sector in Eastern Nigeria.Sad we dont have such forward looking leaders YET!

Just released. Anambra has the least domestic debt. The fiscal discipline of Peter Obi has been upheld and obiano is doing well in that light. Other Governors in the South East, especially our Douglas slowpoke Okorocha has to be investigated.
When industrialized states like kano, kaduna, delta, lagos, etc take loans, we see the resulting infrastructure and a high internally generated revenue and besides their industries that can be taxed to repay such loans but In Imo state, Rochas keeps borrowing, there are no improved IGR, there are no infrastructure, there are no industries. What is he using the state funds to do?

At the moment, Enugu is doing well in terms of IGR and Anambra has to take tutorship from them, with the number of business in Anambra, they should be in the same league as Ogun, Rivers, Kano and the likes.

The Aku luo uno spirit is really thriving. Recently, a USA based Dr Anyanwu, came back to Owerri to invest.

It is a commendable effort.

Regions Stroke and Neuroscience Hospital located in Owerri Imo State (KM 17 Owerri-PH Road Phone or WhatsApp +2347047000011) has finally opened its doors to healthcare services

The Nigerian health sector is a gold mine waiting to be mined. Millions of dollars are being expended by affluent Nigerians in search of quality health care in India,, Europe, North America and South Africa.

Ndiigbo have the highest number of medical Doctors in Nigeria, if we leverage on this and train them to world standard, we can then use them back home to run world standard hospitals, capable of performing world class surgeries and medical management with high dexterity and competence.
Imagine how much we can take in, if we can afford to Nigerians, the same quality of health they rush to get at those foreign countries at cheaper rates, or even same rate.
This is possible. All it needs is quality health personnels and world standard profit oriented private health facilities.

Below are more pics of the new hospital in Owerri.

I noticed that while Ndiigbo were sleeping, Yorubas are cornering the private University sector of Nigeria.

We must not allow that to be. We should be able to invest heavily in Private Universities as much as we can. We are an education loving people, and we shouldn't be losing our finances schooling in distant lands, when we can keep the money within our region, increase our government IGR and provide direct and indirect jobs to our people.

The good thing about world class quality health care is that it has nothing to do with location.
If you are a renowned specialist in any medical field, people would rush in all over to avail themselves of your facilities and expertise.

It pained me when I learnt that Dr Iweala (Okonjo Iweala husband) chose to build a world class hospital in Abuja, rather than in SE.
I know it's business, and profit driven, seeing as Abuja has more number of affluent people who could afford the price of such quality health care. But Ndiigbo have to know that without individual sacrifice on our part, we would never surmount the challenges Nigeria presented before us, in developing our region.

Look at Innoson, he stuck with Nnewi, when Lagos would have been an easier option, and now, he is winning the battle. A good product sells itself.
Siting Big business ventures in SE might seem disadvantageous on the short run, but on the long term, if the quality of your products or services are top notch, you would break even, and it would no longer be a disadvantage. Innoson, Chicason and other host of Igbo business men who insisted on siting their business ventures in SE had proven this.

Our state government need us to bring these industries home, so that we can pay tax to them, increase our states IGR to that government spending power can increase, and they can now spend more on our much needed infrastructures.

Also we need the jobs those business ventures would generate, to provide employment to our youths, and stem the tide of migration of our best hands to Lagos and other parts of Nigeria.

We need our business men to show sacrifice and patriotism to Igbo nation. They hold the key to ignite the cascade of events that could change the economic climate of Igboland for better.

Aku luo uno.

This was the point I was trying to make with the University of Asaba proposal but NnamdiJonathan took it as insult. grin

I thank God that we are now finally waking up.

I preciate Okorocha and hopefully Ifeanyi Ubah for stepping up to the challenge.

anioma has ogwashi ukwu polytechnic which is the leading poly in Delta

anioma has college of education agbor

anioma has Delsu anwai campus etc

anioma deserves a federal university but I don't think it's gonna be possible in a multiethnic state like delta

Igbos are not majority in Delta state.

This is my point exactly.

Successive Governors of Delta State have all deliberately ignored the requirement for a federal university in Delta State.

States recently created that are younger all have Federal University.

These same minorities cleverly built a State University in Abraka.

My question is why did Okowa not push for a Federal University?

Why the focus on a cargo airport that is already standing and Keshi stadium?

The federal government already approved Federal University for every state, so what stops him from negotiating for one to be constructed?

Alternatively use the state funds to build a University of Asaba, that would have been a better legacy than Keshi Stadium in my opinion.

True.
Federal University of Asaba can be achieved. If Okowa is serious. Or perhaps, he can site it at Owa, if that's his preference.

They acknowledge that the minorities dont want them to have anything and they demselves want to comply with the wicked desires of the minorities rather than undermine them.

Nigerian Engineer Wins $500m Contract to Build Monorail Network in Iraq
By Eric - September 17, 2018

A Nigerian Engineer, based in Canada, Jude Igwemezie, has won a $500 million contract to build a monorail network in Iraq.
Mr. Igwemezie, who was also trained in Canada, heads TransGlobim International, the engineering company that won the bid. The contract is to construct what is described as “a viable rail transportation network” for the city of Najaf. The network will connect three Islamic holy and historic mosques in Imam Ali, Kufa and Sahle.
An elated Mr. Igwemezie told NEXT in a telephone interview that the project is billed to be completed in three years, and will be built in two phases. The first phase, he said, will cover the design, construction and operation of the system while the second phase will involve the expansion of the system and its extension to the Najaf airport and the final phase.
Mr. Igwemezie, who said he has been involved in negotiation with Nigerian officials in the last 18 months to construct several rail lines in the country, disclosed that it took “only two months to get the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) executed with Iraqi officials”.
Hinting at his frustration to offer his services to Nigeria, Mr. Igwemezie said, “as a Diaspora person, I kept coming back, knocking, to help Nigeria. On the other hand I can’t knock forever.”

What do you mean by "reasonable Igbo"? So you want to tell me that those investing in hotels and casinos are irresponsible? Hotel and casino business has always been in my mind and not schools, does it mean I am also irresponsible? Anybody can invest in any sector he or she chooses. Instead of asking other people to invest in education and health, you can as well invest in those sectors yourself because you are also a human being like those hotel investors.
