This is the model I wish to run..

I will buy the cars, buy phones.. register them on uber myself. Get drivers and register each driver to a phone and a car on uber.

Now I have the accounts of all my drivers. I know how much they are all making daily..

My drivers will be allowed to have lunch and buy fuel off the previous days job.

All my drivers will have a unique corporate uniform so that passengers will quickly recognize my cars.
At the end of the month, I pay them salary...

I need someone to tell me why this model will not work...

The current uber drivers are thieves and grow fat off someones resources

With my model,

Everyone is happy.

You can go ahead and implement your own model. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, your car your model. How much salary are we talking about here?

what do u mean?

its my car and i will be in charge of maintaining, right ? I will insure it (my money). All they will do is drive. Yet u drivers want to remit peanuts weekly..

Transport companies who ply interstates employ drivers.. why should uber be different?

If i plan having 5 or more cars on uber, you think i will give them out to greedy drivers to balance me weekly while i maintain the car.. All their work is to drive and get the juicy part of the business while they remit only 30k. You dont call that scam abi..

Look, having drivers ride my car is empowerment to them... they are not doing me a favour by driving my cars...

Oga first go on road yourself before you talk grammar and see how it's easy

also yes you can and driver will work for you once you are okay with what he deliver to you everyday but you most pay him the agreement salary if you are okay by that

Yes its your car, buh u re not the one bringing in requests or riders

Transport companies. Do ve an office, controls and bring in the riders, fuel, maintain, and covers all expenses. In this case, if there is a low turn thru out the month, driver still gets paid

And for a partner to think he can handle all DAT and still pay a driver at the end of a month with d low requests. It is a scam cos no partner will pay a driver from his own pocket if inflow is not in excess.

Do ur homework b4 u start. Average of 100k weekly consistently seem impossible, tho possible. Ie 400k gross a month

Debit uber 25% u left with 300k or Taxify 15% u left with 340k

Debit fueling 25k a week ie 100k a month (for low consuming car like corollas) uber, u left with 200k or Taxify 240k

Since u re paid salary, u will cover fees for toll, call cards, data for a month. 4000 call card a month, 2000 data a month, toll 10,000 a month ( ie d driver must not use the toll gate for more than 50times a month if possible. Ie twice a day for 25days only)= 16k a month....
So uber, u left with 184k or Taxify 224k abi

Maintenance, using cheap oil servicing ..total let say 10k only plus oil filter change. Uber u left with 174k and Taxify u left with 214k

Other repairs ... Let say u lucky every month. 0 naira spent

Now; for the analysis above.

You can only net 174k on uber a month and 214k a month if you driver makes an average of 100k weekly o

Therefore, how much do u intend to pay the driver?
Feeding allowance, thank God Taxify covers health and that if he did 200 trips d pervious month?

You all call 30k weekly peanut ie total of 120k a month. ( let say u remove 120k for uber, u left with 54k or taxify , u left 94k)

Will u pay a driver 54k or 94k a month? When 30kk weekly is peanut to u. SCAM ALERT

Drivers will earn 35% off net profit.

U are missing the point... The driver doesn't deliver to me daily. It's my phone. I request for the total earning after I check the account on the app. At the end of the month, he gets 35% off profit

Are you telling me gig pays per commission or salary, this is where your wayo comes in.
The fact is this model can't work. Using GIG model requires the driver not to look for requests (riders) but get the salary at the month's end.

As a new partner yet to register on the app, please do I really have to incorporate a company or is there a way around it?

You people have been saying this.

How do drivers look for requests

By being online?

Please note that you are talking to an app developer (just to preempt you so you speak within the possibilities of the tech in uber)

Please note that I will buy the phone, car, insurance, fuel, tracker and maintenance and uber commission. All the driver has to do is be online and drive. If he decides to be online for only 2 days in a month.. He makes 35% of that....

Its a fair deal.. Any driver who doesn't accept this is just greedy.

I understand you better but bro to be honest with you it can't work, cuz sometimes driver will get cash trip and once they know how they work hard to deliver to you story go change... Also this business is not like before also not like ABC or chisco that the issue on grand to get request na issue or get request sometimes we see 9k per day so remove fuel money from it..some days are dull

Not gonna place the advert here.. Gonna go to my local church assembly to speak with my pastor to find an unemployed brother who knows how to use a phone and understands the routes in Lagos a lot....

You drivers have now grown wings and think you are too important in the uber business.

If all car owners can adopt this approach this shakara from una go stop...

Someone just said on a bad day... A driver can get 9k . that's 63 in a week.. And u want to give the car owner 30k from 63k . yet if the car goes bad, you drop it for him to repair... This is based on the assumption that all 7 days are bad days....

The calculation of using a "brand new" car for e-hailing is bais. No one has done a calculation of using a nigerian used (good condition car).

I get a nigerian used car (good engine, first body etc) for.......? I spend xyz on repairs (at least it would safe nothin less than 300k compared to buying brand new or toks).

We face thesame factor such as bad road, flood, bad drivers, prone to accident, police lastma wahala new cars are more attractive to thieves.
Same fare rate, same commission, same servicing and spare part replacement.
And at the end of the day u can sell the car for almost thesame rate you bought it at nigeria used.

For example, I have a toyota Corrolla 2005 (Canada made) and I think it was bought in January 2006 first user didn't use it for upto 3 months for a little above 2 million, it's 11 years old now and if I repair it with 200k it will still go for above 1.2. Same value.

So please someone should do justice to this.

Bros, you need to get more understanding about the 'business'.
There are many factors you need to consider e.g offline trips (like someone pointed out), lazy drivers can make you get less than the 120k monthly you could get with weekly remittance.
Also respect people here, stop calling every driver a thief.
Finally, when you are sure of your model, please go ahead. There are different ways of doing a business, nobody here will force you not to do it your own way. All the best!

I think you are the greed one here with this model... Extort drivers and kick them off the grid. Why do u intend collecting all the money in the first place. I don't trust this kind of system. Is scam like! I'm sure poor drivers will for victim and when u don't paid them at the end of the month, it s a lose lose for the driver. But a win win for u.

When dead cars a given, the driver dint preform and the kick them out b4 month ends. Bro its scam ... Scam
