I was at agbaro Delta State earlier today when we spotted this bird on a tree. Almost the entire community were gather and hell-bent on bringing it down claiming it's has been terrorizing the place for a while. I initially plea that they spare it life but they almost turned on me so I rested my case. They finally put it down and killed this harmless creature. I came to conclusion that the ignorance with the black man is caused by religion. We are been held back by the chains of religion. Your opinion are welcome. No insult please.

Nigerians don’t even know that this is a nocturnal bird, it flies mostly at night, nollywood keep messing with our people. I’m sure someone among them is going to give a testimony in church on Sunday of how they killed the witch that has been terrorizing them. Poor people always fighting spiritual battles

They just keep on depleting the ecosystem.

What a comic relief

Just negodu, what Africa magic have done to our people

One word "Ignorance ".

Religion has really messed up the psych of a typical black African. My neighbors mechanic came to his house and saw his pet cat and swore that he would never step foot in my neighbors house again because he habours a "witch". He said "for ma village if we see pussi we nor dey waste time kill am, e dey cause bad luck and e dey chop pickin wey dey stomach". He would pass that ideology to his children who will also pass it to their children and the cycle continues.

That is how they hate snake too by labelling creature as the one who deceived Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
