UPDATE

phew!!!! It has been a VERY hectic ride I must tell. We finally dropped down at Efex station Kokolomhle (dunno if I got that right) at about 6:50am.

Tired and exhausted we all stepped on the soil of Accra (a wonderful feeling grin ). I spoke with a taxi driver to take me to my hotel which is around the area, the guy charge me 10cedis , omo I para o na so we drag am from 5 to 7cedis omo them no gree to I just entered, he himself nó even too know the place but we later found it.
Getting there was a cold feeling with the old and rustic looking appearance, reminded me of one of the old novels them dey force me read that year lol.. Finally met the receptionist who was just waking up from sleep after the much knocking and bell ringing..

To God be the glory all room was occupied (my budget room), I was happy because this particular hotel was my third choice but I later made it first because of its closeness or the city center and was cheaper.

In no time I fell back to my first love which was still in same area but a bit afar.. I opened Google Map na so mb finish, I say no be me Ghana go use shine!!!

Bought card of 10cedis and subscribed for 1GB 7days validity. Got back on Google and found the place, I stopped a taxi man he say e no know am, so instead of me wasting money I decided to trek, after all it's morning and I'm from Nigeria! Lol.

In 15mins I was there(million kisses for Google Maps, very reliable) only outside Naija o.

Lodge in for 75cedis per night, entering the room Lo n behold a beautiful American girl stepped out of the bathroom... OMG!!

Make Una no think too much sha, she had a flight to catch so we didn't bond well.

Had a warm bath first and bam!! Bed calling!

So last night I decided to go out in search of where to eat after sleeping the whole day.. I google nearby pizza restaurant cos I really want eat that thing, I got some options and picked one with many reviews wey I no just open... Dressed up and hit the road (it's a 14min walk from my hotel).

I got there and I was like *am I sure this is where I want to eat?* because this place na big man restaurant o.. I asked the lady there for their menu.. Omo see price for pizza!!! 35 to 50cedis!! I just swallowed my saliva and humbly asked if they have rice, she showed me the rice menu and finally ordered for fried rice .

All my mind as a local Naija was just expecting to see a plate of fried rice n chicken but when the plate come ehh I fear!!!
First picture is the plate ordered.

I was just calculating in my head because between me and God I know I cannot finish it and if I really want to finish it, it will take me more than one hour o... Yes I'm a slow eater make dem no kon dey reason me plenty thoughts.

So I Jejeli called the lady again and asked her to please wrap the food as take away before them See Me finish. So that was how I escaped the unforeseen embarrassment o.
Second pic is the wrapped food in my hotel.

Food was 25cedis.
All the waka to and fro was through Google Maps.

After consuming that lump of food last night before sleeping at about 10pm na so these young white guys storm my room like Invaders.

They are all students from Belgium and have been in Kumasi for three weeks for a volunteer program, though they are returning back today..

I asked them to visit Nigeria and volunteer too but surprisingly they said they are scared because of VOODOO as where told to them by a NIGERIAN DOCTOR!!!

i was disappointed because that doctor just spoil our image before these guys.. Yes there is voodoo but does that make Nigeria unsafe??

I just told them there's no difference between Nigeria and Ghana and the voodoo practice is across board doesn't mean you will die when you visit and Thank God I cleared their mindset about it.

We still need to help Nigeria to grow Nigeria.. This is the reason Nigeria tourism industry is lying fallow. Word of mouth can make or kill, I'd advise Nigerians in diaspora to use it positively.

25 cedis is roughly how much in Naira?
That food looks sumptuous... Only chicken covered the plate, rice looks like a cup-serving

It seems like there's a lot of foreign activity there o, just in a space of 2 days.

But what do you mean they stormed your room?

I think foreigners appreciate Ghana more than Nigeria (just thinking out loud) because they are much here.

*stormed, I meant their coming was unexpected

Ghana and Nigeria = No comparison

Why won't they appreciate Ghana ? Nigeria is simply on a regression regime. The biggest and latest slap, is the South African waiver program for certain countries, and Nigeria is not on that list .....

We are truly in a big mess and it simply would get worse .....

Let's just beg some people to come buy this failure called Nigeria......

So on Friday after breakfast with my Belgium guys we decided to visit the Independence Square and the beach behind it before catching a flight back to Belgium.. Those guys love water like mermaids!

From the Independence Square I walked to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. It was an overwhelming sight to behold. I was about going to James town when my internet died on that spot so I just had to reroute back to my hotel , a few minutes away I was connected and had my direction intact.

Lots of big beautiful buildings all around Accra...

(I no even fit type... Suffering from hangover)
