*You can order for the Chinese version (otherwise known as global Rom) if you won't be using smile.Ng, (4G network)

*You should order for the global version if smile.Ng 4G is a priority for you.

*You must order for the Taiwanese version if glo. ng 4g network is a priority for you.

Otherwise, the global rom and global version pretty much works with MTN 4g, Airtel 4G and Etisalat 4g.

Note that these whole band issue doesn't affect 3g, edge or GPRS networks. You will still get glo and other service providers' 3g and EDGE network regardless of whether you buy global rom or global version.

The phone can be repaired in Nigeria just like any other phone. It doesn't have any outer space technology in it. As long as you can get the faulty part, a good repairer should do the job. Check out RepairPalng here on the thread.

The cheapest one I saw on aliexpress is over 58k with shipment. I doubt if you will get such deal here. Nothing is impossible though. Good luck on your quest.

I'm still on 9.6.4.0 ( RN5 AI ). I was about to update but I'm reading complaints on the MIUI Forum that the latest MIUI 10 doesn't allow other themes apart from default unlike the previous softwares.

One thing I love the most about Xiaomi phones is the UI and the beautiful wallpapers / themes that one can download and apply on their phones. For example, I currently have and use the Samsung S9+ theme on my phone.

If this isn't possible anymore on the new MIUI 10, then I'm not updating.

cc sunkyphil has that been your experience in the MIUI 10 ?

Its not true, you can use other themes aside the default. That your s9+ theme won't work properly for now, especially the status bar, until the developer updates the theme. If you want, you can wait till like December before updating, by then there will be many themes to choose from, it's always like that.

Like on miui 9 you can make you device look fully like a pixel device with the theme changing every thing but on miui 10 "it doesn't happen"

If you saw miui 8 and 9 when they first launched, you would never touch both especially miui 8. You can compare the default miui 9 and default miui 10 status bar, you'll see that miui 9 is actually very ugly compared to miui 10. It always take time for coloured status bar themes to arrive, those using third party themes already use that.
