His father, Adegoke Adelabu (Penkelemesi) was a Politician in the first republic. He was nicknamed “Penkelemesi” when he described a situation as “Peculiar mess”. That was how the name came about which his son now adopted it.

I love the guy because he's young but I did not think he have any political experience

Due to the illiteracy of the mother and people around then, they were amazed by the word but couldn't pronounce it, so they changed it to penkelemesi ( peculiar mess )

His grand father was known for the phrase, 'peculiar mess' when ever the matter of his discussion had a level of unpleasant occurrence to him. In a bid to imitate him, his followers and the public around him nicknamed him 'Penkelemesi'

Maybe it's because Ibadan is the state capital and the political political. Even though Ibadan alone can't decide who wins, yet Akala underestimated Ibadan and lost in 2011. But Oyo State is too big for just a section (though the largest) to be ruling all the time.

Adelabu might have been raised in Ibadan but I think the family hails from Ogbomoso hence, Ajimobi is determined to support him. (He's been insisting that it's time Oke-Ogun rule Oyo state again)

Let us assume your purported claim of Adelabu family, a popular family in Ibadan is from Ogbomos, since when did Ogbomoso become an Oke-Ogun town? Pls pls don't argue o, just accept correction.
