Thread For Bakery Owners And Intending Owners In Nigeria by Rebuke: 6:35pm On Oct 01, 2018
I have this strong desire for a bakery business and I am looking forward to starting one soon.

I was told by a member here that one could start a bakery business with 600k or even less. I need people who are into this business to please come in here and share their experiences and any helpful information for intending bakery owners here.

Please, I want this thread to be solely for those who have anything meaningful to contribute to the subject and not some unnecessary adverts and noise. Thank yhu all in advance.

600k is impossible oo.hence you will operate on 70% recurring maintenance a 25kg mixer is already 500k

I own a premium bakery.

Twenty m setting it up.and I'm making a lot of profit without struggles.

Budget minimum of 2.5 m depends on your location though.thanks

Setting up a bakery today is so damn expensive. Even with 5m u won't be through. No lies. From equipment to factory or shop.. Depends on how your daily output u want to push out. Its very profitable if u have patience

Ok. I appreciate yhur contribution bro.

I have 3 locations in mind at d moment: Oyo State (Ibadan), Lagos and Ogun State.

Any idea of what it will cost to start up in any of these locations? Also, the chance of making reasonable profits over time. Ose

I guess dis type of topic doesn't intrest them. Mayb we should add snake or rename our thread to " Endowed Women found working naked In a bakery" then we add some scantily dressed women. That way, we may get more attention.

Lol.. Actually no one will want to sell his or her idea fully here.. Nigerians we so much love free things.. No matter what u read online, it might jus be far from the real world of bakery.. U see people posting start a bakery business with 1m,2m and so on..which ain't possible.. Today's Nigeria made everyone to take up professionalism on any little experience..

grin this is 2018...

I truly understand u bro., but I am nt really looking for free infor.

I jxt want someone who knows his onions to show up here then we can take it from there.

The major reason I created this thread is to view other people's opinions and to b able to ascertain the claims by a nairalander here that one can start a bakery with as little as N600k.

I want reliable n concrete infor and nt jxt some ebook sellers claiming to knw wat they knw not.

starting up a bakery will only cost u 750000 naira , I went to a fabricator and he listed all the machines needed , then after operating for one year when u must have made some profit , u can now go into buying electric mixer , gas oven , proofer, cutter and moulder .u can start with manual mixing , brick oven and hand or manual cutting

Wow, nice one bro., I am visiting one too ending of dis month/ early next month. I will post my findings here too.

If I may ask, wat abt labour considering d manual method will b needing more humans to operate.

Secondly, d 750k is jxt for d machineries alone, right?

I didn't come back here to gist yhu guys abt my findings.
I really did visit the place bt due to some reasons, I am not so satisfied. I almost evn got the discouraged as a result of what I met there.

I seriously was xpecting something spectacular and maybe a topnotch standard but it was a local level operating bakery. though I very much appreciate the host for his efforts bt It wasn't wat I am looking for.

The oven is locally made with mound and charcoal is used to power the oven. Then the end product is jxt like our usual or normal Agege bread

According my findings such can be started with as little as 200k on small scale n can be very profitable if marketing is taking seriously.

Took some pix but I didn't seek for permission to post. I can request his consent on that anytime on phone though. I think if he allows me to, I can upload some pix for some interested person here.

Before I forget o, most of the standard ones I have around here wouldn't grant me access into their production rooms. Can't see anything, they jxt most time sit me down in their office and wanting me to ask questions on anything I want to know n get answers.

Too many protocols, some keep asking me to come back to see manager or the management. Dem jxt dey turn me around.

I even feel funny at times bcus some of them act like yhu have come to steal their bakery or have ulterior motives

Well, I won't stop till I gather reasonable infor and enough knowledge.

Somehow, this thread is becoming my own diary. Hmmmm.

I didn't create this thread for myself o. If this continues, wll leave the thread but I promise to share pix of my bakery once its opened.

Hope say una go patronise me wella sha. Watch out for me.
