Although am also very concerned about the long wait for this study visa thing, but I just wanted to say that, to be fair to these VOs, we must realise that a lot of background processes goes into processing and granting visas to foreign nationals. Especially for a country like Nigeria that the Western world always suspect anything we submit as forged or fraudulent.

No too visa applications are the same, so comparisons don't make sense. The background checks are out of the hands of the VOs as they are conducted by Security agencies. Sometimes, anything phony in a person's records could prolong the background checks. Also, sometimes they delay processing a visa just to make sure they get all information possible to be fair to the applicant, rather than refuse on the first sign of unfavourable information.

Lastly, because Canada and most countries now use the Global Management System, applications are not allocated to anyone specifically, VOs just pick the next available application from the pool once they are free, problem with this system is that if there's any issue with an application, it is returned to the pool and will remain dormant until another free VO picks it up...

Let's just try to stay positive, get on with our lives while we wait and remain prayerful..

It is well!

Your post makes a lot of sense but let's not forget the fact that the UK and US grants student visa in a week or less.

Please may I know when you applied, are applicant still allowed to do upfront medical because I came across a form IMM5832e that was uploaded on the website in September saying do not do upfront medical until you are told to. ? Any suggestion Cos I planned doing

That was middle of July this year. Although I had challenge of taking excuse over and over from work, so thats why I went about it that way. You could wait till you are asked to do medicals.

I'm back from suspension with a strong message of hope!

Apologies to those that have had a still born as I know the pain is nothing compared to mine understandably because matters of death cannot be compared to other vicissitudes of life. However, I beg your indulgence to allow me use it to describe the pain and level of disappointment I have suffered over the years.

After half a dozen refusals in as many years plus 1, I am elated to inform the house that the labour period is over and this time around .....IT IS A LIVE DELIVERY!

Thanks for your advice.

As for my boss being a sponsor, any experience on this? Has any member here used it before? Still reading the threads from the beginning as advised here but yet to figure an answer to that yet.

I thing anyone can be your sponsor, you just need to convince a VO on the connection between you too, with affidavit, sponsor letter, copy of ID etc and if possible, the sponsor making some payment into your account to show commitment

I don't know much about UK and USA, but i think volume of applications is the main factor here. Remember that average processing time for Canada study permit from some countries is like a week or two.

Grave yard silence in the marketplace shocked .... seems people that thought they had issues have seen something bigger!

It's OK to say Congrats because my housemates seem to be confused as to whether to say congratulations or send me message of consolation!

Thanks and God bless you all my fellow nairalanders that contributed one way or the other to my application questions back then. I am really grateful but I will like to inform the house that my visa was refused again, though I already requested for GCMS note and I can know what next. Weighing out other options though. God will crown our effort all.
