I certainly know the easiest way to defeat christianity is the divide and rule approach. So far most people here and their comments are worldly, simply the message by the woman of God has a spiritual angle to it... you need the holy spirit to guide u in such matters regarding marriage and sex.
pastors or priests who constantly are on the altar can help counsel you as regard getting married than parents... its not a must but I say it as an option in overseeing ur decision by backing it spiritually first
Remember we may pray.. but God uses the pastors to instruct us...pastors & parents have their roles they play concerning marriage u can't exclude any of them

Seeking God should be the first thing to do before the counsel of men. The guideline of parents and marriage counsellors should not be neglected for intending couples.

Notwithstanding, I've seen cases where people marry without seeking pastors' guidance yet their marriage works fine and vice versa.

In the western world, they hardly meet pastors for marital counsel yet the success of marriage recorded is more to Africans.

Left to me, I've an indifferent view about this particular delicate issue but one thing I know is our destiny lies in our hands. If God approves a union but the involved couple fails to play their part, is God to be blamed?
