My good people, we got this contract to build a new fence on a land belonging to a nairalander in Enugu. We are commencing works with the project immediately. Details of the project are as follows;

Project : Construction of a new fence
Client : A nairalander
Contractors : Tigerkenn Homes Ltd
Project duration : 10 days.
Project Cost: N1,550,000.00

We started this work this week, and hope to be out as soon as possible. We are also hoping to commence the main building as soon as possible.

1. Why do most fence develop crack lines eventually?
2. Is there any advantage of 9" hollow over 6" solid for fencing, apart from cost?

1. Because of wrong foundation types used on lands that settle. Just like in buildings.

2. Sturdiness. Some want their fence to be thicker, and that's what 9" will provide over 6".

Community youths have been giving us problems on this site, preventing us from working.

I do understand that in some villages, the "youths" will come out and demand for certain payments (aka development levies, or cultural duties- omenani) But I'm yet to see or hear them wielding guns for this purpose.
At most, they are armed with sticks and (in some cases) machetes. Since when did guns become a part of their mission?

My brother, they claimed to be estate security men and I just thanked them, got into my car and zoomed off. You cannot argue with armed men
