Innoson truck would have made sense if it was configured to that wolf special forces vehicle like the one below...my opinion though and also it looks more presentable than the normal Hilux truck

This is the Al-thalab special forces vehicle used by the British SAS in Syria.

Like the Nigerian vehicle it is built on the land cruiser. Many special forces vehicles used by countries around the world are based on the Toyota Hilux or land cruiser.

I've also added that of France in the last picture.

The Nigerian one looks fine for purpose. I'll just add more robust tyres and upgrade the suspension.

South Africa

Nigeria - Imported

Austria

You can see all of them, not even one is different. They are all built a certain way. That's what Nigeria also did. We didn't re-invent any wheel.

I watched French special forces conduct an assault landing with them in Mali and my jaw nearly broke. I immediately fell in love.

A C-130 dropped operators off in the middle of an abandoned airport and immediately flew out. The entire operation lasted just 3 minutes.

The Nigerian vehicle is much better in desert camouflage. It's a pity we still don't have proper photos of them.

it's good We're getting some special purpose vehicles, hopefully we'll standardize on a single platform and ramp up the numbers.

I'm seeing what looks like a grenade launcher on the Nigerian vehicle.

Throwback in history: in 1985 the PLA Navy's less-than 4000-ton Type-051 Luda-class destroyer Chongqing executed close maneuvers against the 28000-ton Soviet Kirov-class N-powered battlecruiser Frunze in E. China Sea.

That's just an empty gun mount for a 50 Cal or 12.7mm HMG.

Link to the video... That NAF Honker only has one gun port at the top of the vehicle, it would have been better if they have a second port.

But though I love the way the guys both seat and stand on that rail.. I do see them around my area

Pre -assault deployment gone wrong.
Amphibious ops are C-0-M-P-L-I-C-A-T-E-D!! First you need to coordinate naval gunfire.tacair, the specialised landing vehicles and logistics:prior to this tides and beach gradient should have been measured. The latter seems to be the problem here as the AAV appears stuck.
No biggie! That's what training is for as the pic seems.

Great video. The French really took the risk to push north for a deceive strike towards Gao with mainly light vehicles. They had to arrive before the enemy could size larger portions of the infrastructure there. Americans would never do so, they would wait for heavy support and better protected transports even it would take days.
