I went on a date and my bag felt heavy so I was complaining. My date offered to carry it for me, I refused because I didn't wanna make him look bad. He then used this against me saying that I won't let a man treat me right blah blah blah.

I was trying to save him face but he's making it seem that I am unreasonable. Am I in the wrong?

Hmmm...this one is beyond me!....I can understand after the date....bag loaded with food/stuff that the guy bought on request..but before??

On not wanting the guy to look bad...save him face..by him carrying your heavy bag...that you even said was heavy? Sis.... that's very local of you to think that way. What you did was wrong...dead wrong...you made the guy look bad...and more over it was like an insult for you to complain the bag was heavy but refuse his offer to help you.
A gentleman wouldn't even ask to fetch a lady's heavy load..... he will pretty much take it from her...regardless of what it is....it is like his duty. He would be embarrassed to be seen walking along with hands in his pockets while she is under pressure with the load.... he be seen as typical lazy yoot....and this is international. ...except if he be Muslim. You embarrassed him....is that wrong?
