And please one more advice to those who have not submitted, please do not falsify any document and do not try to outsmart CIC, if you do, you cannot have peace of mind while waiting (HBP) and it is definitely not worth it because it could affect you in future one way or the other. Wish everyone a speedy PPR!!!

Is it bad to ask questions? I for one hate it when people tell others to go read from page 1. If you can't answer their questions, simply ignore. If you can and you think the question has been answered some pages before you can do well to look it up and then answer with a link to that page. Imagine being on page 389 and dwelling on page 1 info. Things change sometimes and we all know that. Plus people are busy with other things in life too, not just Canadian immigration.

Wow! Finally read all PPR stories on this thread from part 1 to part 5... I’m highly gingered and motivated! Wheeew... what a read *Cleans sweat on face*

Now unto the next...
1. Planning for Canny ( Accommodation, feeding, job, network of friends)
2. Planning for canny session
3. Marry *Lips sealed*

At least so many activities to make the wait worthwhile.

I need to book for the session.

Canada will definitely favor you. Many of us are still stuck in a particular stage but surely it will soon end in praise. Thank you for sharing your story grin
Bimz89:
*clears throat* ok make i continue the gist...sorry for the delay, had to go submit passport, no time to waste. So i recreated our express entry profile in may or june so that Ontario can send us expression of interest letter and it worked but husband was still reluctant to go through the provincial route, besides, we didnt have the complete money we needed by then so we were still chilling for when his last ielts result will come out and also for fund to be complete, that was how ontario announced that if you have not yet applied, that you can no longer apply for now that application is now on hold. Hmmmm i said my village people have come again. I was so sad! Even husband was angry at himself for not taking the provincial route seriously. That was how we had to wait till November when they reopened o.I was so happy, it was as if i just got my PPR. Anywayz we tried applying sharply but my little son was also determined to show us pepper ( i gave birth a few weeks before Ontario reopened their application). When we took him to passport office to process his international passport, this young man refused to wake n open eyes o. He just kept sleeping as if he had not slept since he was born. Hmmm, it was funny at first but later i just got frustrated because i was worried we wouldn't meet the deadline. Eventually, one God-sent man carried him o and he woke up for 30 seconds for us to take the picture( he just pitied us small hehehe) . Anywayz, we eventually submitted and had to wait for 4 long months for the application to get approved. Then we got ITA anf submitted our documents and after 1 month i called and wad told my application had been transferred to London visa office. Ah!! I was jus like why me God? I experienced delay at every stage and thought my application would have been processed in ottawa and get approved within 2 months and live happily ever after. I thought i was gonna be part of the people to say God compensated me after submission with short processing time.hehehe but God wanted to teach me patience till the very last day. Hmmm me i know that it was a lesson from God and i will forever appreciate this permanent residency and will make the best use of it. I know what i went through to get it and will never take it for granted. After 6 months, 2 weeks and some days, PPR came o and my heart was just beating fast ( it has finally come, what next? I can plan and worry for Africa) but one thing i know is that God is behind me and Canada will favour me and my family Insha Allah.

So to all those still waiting, your time will come, just keep praying and keep yourselves busy please ( me i wrote my last ACCA papers while waiting... i cannot come n kill myself with high blood pressure).

And please one more advice to those who have not submitted, please do not falsify any document and do not try to outsmart CIC, if you do, you cannot have peace of mind while waiting (HBP) and it is definitely not worth it because it could affect you in future one way or the other. Crystalllllllll is a very impatient person. I knew this from the numbers of "l" in your moniker. You just have to pack the "l" like that ..... only to quickly ask questions and then get annoyed because you were referred to where the answer is.

Crystal, you need to tender an apology to everybody who have contributed meaningfully to this trend. You insulted everyone with your busy schedules. Nobody be your slave.

BarbaraCharles:
HI Sucreklint. Had similar issues a while ago, apparently, only married women can have a ''change of name'' at immigration. But if your husband want to remove and add a new name, it is called ''change of data'' not change of name, and the fee and processing documents are different. It can only be done from Abuja immigration office. The passport office in Ikoyi will guide you through, because the documents you will require for change of name or change of data are different.

I know you will need an affidavit, newspaper publication, data page of old passport, other docs and ofcourse, a fee. Please visit the passport office to be properly guided, I learnt the hard way. I PAID immigration twice because aside my Hubs surname which I took on (change of name), I also added his first name (which they claim is separate and a change of data and approval for it will come from Abuja).

Good day everyone. I just decided to start the EE process. I intend to be the PA. please, does my husband have to evaluate his certificate as well? We will take IELTS in December but I'm ready to begin ECA, using ICES. Your advice would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you.

Bimz89:
Its PPR guys.... I am a silent follower. Been following since 2016 and this thread taught me almost everything about the immigration process so thanks to everybody and may you all get a PPR.

AOR - March 19, 2018
IP1- March 23
MEP- April 17
IP 2- Sept 17
ADR - Sept 21-Height and eye colour request ( submitted immediately)
PPR- Oct 9

My journey started in 2016 when my husband's cousin told me about it but she advised me to use an agent. When i contacted an agent and he told me to bring 3000 dollars, i just knew there was no way my husband was gonna agree to that and he was also not ready to do any research so i just dashed myself brain and started researching on Nairaland straight.. knew i could get almost all the information i needed here.
I wrote ielts twice and still didnt have 8 in listening so husband decided to be the primary applicant since he had more work experience than me anywayz. He wrote 4 times and kept having 6.5 in either reading or writing. I was so frustrated because i was pregnant and really wanted to have my baby abroad and husband had told me to either choose using our money to give birth in the US or to pursue the Canada immigration plan, i chose the latter because i thought i could give birth in Canada and the whole family still gets to become permanent residents but God was just doing Yimu for me i guess. Anywayz, our point was sitting at 411since last year and when the cutoff points were reducing last year, i was very hopeful that it would get to 411 and one of the most painful days of my life was when the draw was out that day and it was 413 ( this is because the draw was following a particular trend, reducing my 4 to 5 points). I cried that day enh, i couldnt just be strong any longer. To cut the long story short, i advised my husband to go through the provincial route and that was the beginning of another torture...... watch out for part 2 ( ghen ghen ghen ghen) heheheh

Yes. I experienced exactly that. The doctor showed me the previous one to convince me that I couldn't do it. Then when i told her it was EE, she was able to open a new account for me under EE.
Is it possible that the person who attended to you isn't fully informed? I think you should explore that possibility and make enquiries before giving up. Keep us posted on the outcome smiley

Thank's once again. We went to another clinic and was able to get the medicals done. Obviously the first clinic do not know how to create a new case. Thanks a bunch!
