Apparently, this is the first time I have had to wait for 4 weeks for a visa to egypt.

I believe this issue has been there for a while as egypt consular in Nigeria doesn’t really care or give accurate information when it comes to their visa process.

They claim ( egypt embassy in Nigeria - abuja)it takes about 2-3 weeks, however I realized people have been waiting for a response for their visa application for 3 months as a Nigerian.

What makes it worse is the Nigerians working in the embassy. Sometimes they all feel like we owe them something. They force u to sit without giving proper explanations for delayed visa process.

Im just another Nigerian speaking up.

Same thing happen to me ,I submitted my application since ending of July for Egypt visa because I want to apply for a Lithuania visa in Cairo but it's now 6 weeks no call no message .They keep saying that they are waiting for approval.it seems I will withdraw my passport this week and try another route precisely south Africa .

My brother went there with my slip they keep saying they are waiting for approval and I even mail them still the same

He went inside and spoke with them but the way they attended to him was not good enough ,they even told him to withdraw the passport if he isn't please with there service

Am going to klapeida university in lithuania , i have already withdraw my paspoort from egypt embassy and submitted at south africa embassy through vfs ,it is now two weeks after my submission

Wow, this is surprising to hear (RE Egypt Visa). I submitted (personal appearance) in June and got my visa in exactly 10 working days. Someone picked it up for me.

They told me they would send an email/SMS when the visa was ready but they didn't. we just kept going back to check.

Hey... I'm actually not a travel agent, so I can only help with providing advice based on my experience. If you check my blog, I recommended an agent I have used in the past (for a different visa)...
