There are several Igbos currently running for presidency, Igbos are not even talking about them.

I really pitty atiku. I know the only reason his name and obasanjo's name were not included in that travel ban via executive order no.6 is so that the international community will not say buhari is targeting his opponent in the presidential race. I foresee buhari winning in 2019, and once comfortably sworn in and knowing he wont need another term in office, he will go after the real big fish crooks like atiku, obj and ibb with full blown anti corruption campaign, infact they most likely will be imprisoned. It suprises me how nigerians are so quick in forgeting things. Do you not remember how terribly corrupt pdp governments were for 16 years? How anything like infrastructure just existed on paper? They PDP and Atiku want to unseat Buhari and occupy Aso Rock. Right? How far are they willing to go in order to get into the Villa? Let us look at how far they have gone already; that should give us some clue about how far they are prepared to go.
It is common knowledge that all the PDP presidential aspirants dished out thousands of dollars and millions of naira to get delegates to vote in their favours. Atiku must have dished out more money than the others to clinch the ticket.
Now, he has the ticket, but he is yet to enter Aso Rock. It is amazing that people are trading insults over a ticket that is yet to make it to the Villa. Me thinks we should be bargaining with Atiku and PDP over what we get in return if we help them get into Aso Rock with our votes.
Whereas delegates were settled with money, but we are not delegates, so we cannot ask for money settlement. But we have our demands: Some of us want Biafra; some want regional autonomy; some want the 1999 Constitution
replaced with a people's constitution; some want restructuring and complete overhaul of the system. We all have the right to demand want we want in exchange for what PDP and Atiku want. It is called trade by barter.
In this type of trading, you can only bargain what you have with what the other person needs. PDP and Atiku need our votes to unseat Buhari and occupy Aso Rock (assuming that the votes will count). Our votes can only be used as
bargaining chips before the 2019 elections. After the elections, our votes would be as useless as used sanitary towel. Therefore, we should use our votes to strike a good bargain before casting our votes in 2019.
Many people have become Atikulated simply because Atiku promised restructuring and has clinched the PDP presidential ticket. Let us not forget that the delegates did not cast their votes for Atiku free of charge. He paid up and paid well. Is there any reasonable argument why we, the peoples of Southeast, South south, Middle Belt, and some parts of the Southwest should give them our votes free of charge?
We have become the most beautiful bride and the hands that hold the ace. Should we run to this groom with a reputation of infidelity and treachery without getting a good settlement? I don't think so.
We are asking to be assured through a well documented ACTIONABLE agreement that we shall get Regional Autonomy and everything that goes with it. I believe Atiku and PDP, who are eager to take over Aso Rock, should be
negotiating with us on the terms for our votes and support. We shouldn't be seen quarreling among ourselves over our votes.
Some people among us are so excited and Articulated that they want us to give our votes to Atiku on the strength of his campaign promise about restructuring. If he is sincere with the promise, he should not have any problem
meeting our basic demand of having the promise documented and made ACTIONABLE. We still recall that APC and Buhari made far more beautiful promises in 2015. If we rush to vote Atiku/PDP without renegotiating the 1999
Military Operating Document called constitution (which will enable restructuring and lead to Regional Autonomy), then we would have been dealt a worse scam than what we got in 2015.
Truth is, we don't care one way or the other who is in Aso Rock under the 1999 Constitution. It is only the prospect of enthroning a people's constitution that can excite us enough to cast our votes and defend same with our lives.
If PDP and Atiku will not grant us this simple request that will not cost them a dime in physical cash, fine! Then, they should fight their battle without us.
The 1999 Constitution is the reason why Nigeria has been moving backward with the speed of light, and dragging with her reluctant regions who could have been contending with the likes of Japan and Singapore. Give us a well
documented comprehensive restructuring programme with acceptable timeline, signed and sealed, and get our votes and support.
I stand with Baron Roy!
