(Principal * Rate * Time)/100

(10 million * 10 * 91)/(100 *364)

Simple Interest = 250 000
Total = 250 000 + 10 million
Thanks so much for this. my question might sound odd I just wanted clarification. please why did u divide 100 by 364

for example using 13.1%
[(13.1/100 * capital)/ 364] * Tenor days

Happy to help.

Well, interest rates are calculated per annum(most generally) or per tenure, and one tenure from his question was 364 days. If 364 days/364 days is one tenure or year, so 100 days in tenure or years is 100/364

Lol. What’s “most generally”?
It’s simply per annum and that’s the fact cheesy

One-Year T-Bills Shed 0.08% as Money Market Rates Jump to 42.12%

I hardly understand these articles like I read some 42% hike in rates from 22 or so. Can't we invest in such? cheesy

How do we benefit?

Is there a simpler version for dummies to help us understand please?

Most times I don't do it for your appreciation.. I know it's what you are not aware of but instead of you to take time and find out you would rather want to be spoon fed with it.. I will not stress my self for that without stressing you too.

If you check the bolded comment in the quote above you will know it's people like you that keep repeating already answered questions that have deprived others from getting what they should when they should. If not, auction dates changes and people can easily answer that but your particular question about FBN has been repeatedly answered and it remained that way so reading from behind would have resolved it.. Instead of noting what I said and move on, :Pyou want to show me you are foul mouthed by telling you would have appreciated my comments. Did you see me write anywhere that you should appreciate it?

What is this one saying, when did I ask abt FBN.....pls check well b4 U quote sumbori...

Many people on this thread are so rude. The time and energy they use in typing insults and saying things like, "read previous pages" can be enough to answer a simple YES/NO question. Mtcheew.

Don't be too quick to blame anyone. Sometimes you get angry answering the same question over and over. Especially when it has been answered recently. Some people even repeat a question that has been answered on the same page.

The time spent to think and type "Mtcheew" is enough to read three previous pages. Mtcheew. cool

He didn't divide 100 by 364 but what happened is that you have to inbox me and send me N1000 to break it down grin, i'm joking.

Wht happened is that, he simply converted the 13.1 into percentage, he then multiplied it by the value of capital, he then divided it by 364 days being the number of days of investment. This is a simplified way that allows you to know the amount of interest generated every day on your investment.

I have seen much more complicated methods of calculation just to arrive with the same results, so thank the guy for simplifying it.

Did I complain about dividing by 100?

Most people here use stanbic, gtbank, and first bank. Why not open an account with any of these banks since they are the ones that appear to give better rates?

The rates are not fixed. You have to visit or contact the banks to know available rates.

Check from your bank. But 100k should give you a tangible profit.

Most banks will take that.
