keemaQ:

Well, with the timelines i have seen on here, medicals are updated 2weeks on the average or more after AOR, You have to be patient.. its too early to start worrying

It depends on your responsibilities not necessarily the job title. Just highlight your responsibilities to assess for the match. @Newmum our NOC mama can always help.

I wonder if IRCC will hold a draw today.

Unless they want to knock down the cut off. I would doubt if a draw will hold even next Wednesday.

Hello house good morning, I discovered this forum a little over a week ago and I almost sleep here. Thank you so much for this forum. Congrats to everyone who got ITA and PPR this week.

Please I have a question however, I intend to be the primary applicant for my family of three but the only thing I'm having issues with is if my OND I had before my Bsc.ed will be considered as two certificates or more. I read somewhere that its diplomas done after degree that is considered. Please is this true?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by raphrulz: 8:59am On Oct 17, 2018
See bro, acceptance of RSA is dependent on the discretion of the Visa Officer. Sometimes they accept and other times they don't. You just have to pray they do in your case. I have seen instances where it was accepted. However, have back up funds just in case it is not accepted. Above all, ensure to check your profile (by either calling CIC or better still, requesting for your GCMS notes) to ascertain if this was accepted. This would help you proactively raise a CSE on updated POF to prevent your application from being rejected.

Good luck

wisdom4today:

Congratulations bro! So happy for you.

Please about the bolded, did you find out why your RSA wasn't considered? Was any reason given? Because, am considering using RSA to make up my POF.
Thanks.

Sorry about your rejection. There should have been a place holder for you to upload her medical reports in the first place. However, if you get the medicals done and email them for update you might be lucky your application will be reopened if not, i am afraid you will have to reapply
Dotcman:
Is anyone awake... please my application was rejected today, I included my husbands daughter and completely forgot I have to do medicals for her. How do I go about this pls.
PS she’s in UK with her mother , and would I have to reapply? Or just email them and update.

Please help.....

After MEP or BIL

Hello everyone. A silent observer here since 2016. I need a clarification please. At what stage of the PR process (from AOR to PPR) does one observe a change in the UCI (from CAN XXXX... to a UCI number) and also former biometric details uploaded?

I think it means they need to further verify your details like how many years you've worked, how authentic your company is, did you do the duties you said you did. This may be done through further internet searches or phone calls or worst case scenario, interview.

In progress means no decision on eligibility has been reached.

Do you have an idea why your eligibility might not be straight forward? Employer details online? Did you include payslips? Bank statements?

fizzile:
Guys, please what's the difference between eligibility under review and eligibility in progress. MEP, Biometrics done, criminality check passed...been on eligibility under review for a long time now. Please what does the under review mean?

Not only do you need medicals for her (I wonder why there was no place holder created for this) you also need the consent from non accompanying parent from the mother. This basically gives you consent to apply for PR for her since the mother has custody.

What if he enters the UK after getting the PCC and then commits a crime, will the PCC still remain valid?
nomad26:
@glowberry,
I completely agree with you. My interpretation of this sentence also was that his UK PCC should still be valid as he did not stay 6 months in a row this time i.e. he wasn't resident anymore but just visiting.

So sorry about that.
You will have to reapply and make sure it's complete this time.
Unfortunately, you'll lose the fees but RPRF will be returned.
Prepare your profile and apply again, let the child do the medicals asap, there should be CIC approved hospitals in the UK
i think a letter of consent too would be included

I get your point, I'll try and enquire as regards cost of PGD with NOUN, M.Sc is a no no, quite high. But before that one and half year period used to obtain the CIPM cert elapses, my work experience would have reached 3years plus POF being ready. A lot of things are not in place for me as regards this journey currently, I am trying to put them together bit by bit.
why not do a diploma (thats if you are doing it for claming points ) some diplomas are shorter and less costly. my 2 cents

Guys, I know we have discussed this before but tighten up your social media/professional accounts.

I just got a LinkedIn view from US-based Security services company with a unit that specializes in Background screening(International).

Even weirder, the view came from someone at their Alberta Office.

Thanks.

This matter has been flogged severally on the thread in the time past. Seniors here have put informed 1 plus 1 together and taken cues from people's GCMS notes and it was concluded thus:

Most times, the VO may not bother to levy your pensions balance where other funds submitted covers the POF required for the family size. Hence some people conclude that their pensions weren't used. That doesn't mean that the 25% pension account balance is not acceptable as a source of POF

I for one used 25% of my RSA balance (and so also many here) and I haven't received any ADR for "inadequate POF" as of today.

Don't put yourself under any unnecessary stress of chasing what is not. Try to research these things and be guided appropriately.

It will end in praise IJN!

God bless u all for ur contributions and selflessness
It ha really been helpful.

What is the best advice for Masters degree holder currently in the uk who wants to migrate to Canada via express entry?
It is better/possible to process it from the uk?
What are her best options?
Thanks

Very true bro. People keep getting scared about it. It could also be that some people do not include a summary sheet or cover letter that clearly highlights the breakdown of their POF.

This is entirely up to you. Would the score go below 440 this year? No one can say. We would like that to happen for our brothers/sisters in the 430's but at this stage, people are being advised to max out or try PNP where all else fails.

By all accounts, 473 is an excellent score. Even if crs scores go up next year, its unlikely going to affect you. And we know this program has plans to run until 2020.

I take it you have started the masters program already. I remember when entering the pool earlier this year, some members on this thread were heading for open university programs. By the first quarter of next year, we will be rejoicing with them. So you see, its all about planning. Take a bold decision and work towards it.

For your degree, you can use ICES since WAEC buhaha and verification wahala nor dey.
Good luck
Thanks to you all for your contributions.
I only decided to do EE this year as everyone here is doing it, including PR and Kpali holders. Nothing like a fully English-speaking country!

I've decided to begin my ECA for my Nigerian Bachelors using ICES, hoping the cut off drops when I'm eligible to enter pool. Else, I'll wait till 2019 summer when I'll be on 473.

With only 4 test dates in 2018 (Feb, May, Sept and Dec), I don't really have the luxury of bimonthly test dates as you guys have in Naija so maxing out on ielts isn't a convenient option. And flying to another city isn't worth it to me from a cost benefit angle. Test cost alone is N125k.

All these could have been avoided if I had finished my program this past June. But no wahala, we'll see what the near future holds.

@smslive2, of course it won't be valid but that would also apply to a stay in any country regardless of the length of the visit. Somebody can commit a crime on their first day in a country they didn't live in for 6 months or more.
However according to the guidance on this PCC requirement, they haven't specifically requested for PCC from every country visited, just countries you stayed 6 months or more in a row.
It would be good to hear from people with similar experiences who got PPR.

smslive2:
What if he enters the UK after getting the PCC and then commits a crime, will the PCC still remain valid?
