I just left there few hours ago, the receptionist was quoting 67k for oxygen sensor when the technician guy gave him the error code,i just ran with my keke(lol). Nice workshop anyway, is not for people like us biko

Oh, that's an easy fix for Glen. His favorite thing to fix is ACs so he does all of them personally. Cars come in with that problem all the time. Only thing is part might have to be brought in. Need him to confirm what's needed though.

Unfortunately we do not carry parts for that. It's not offered in the USA. Some things will match the USA version but the actual compressor does not.

Hello madam @radautoworks, I have tried not to bring up this issue here but, since your workers have been unable to do their jobs properly, I have to do this.

First, the 6-10 days claim has turned out to be a very big lie. I asked you here sometime ago for caliper rebuild kit for '04 Honda Pilot which you gave me a cost of #3,500 each and 6-10 days delivery. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure that was possible and waited some time before finally deciding to give it a go since, I really liked the way you responded to queries and the optimism you created in potential clients that we could get whatever we wanted quality wise.

I sent an email request to your office and followed up with a call on the 12th of September, 2018 and got a response from your staff (Emma M.). I got a quote of #2,500 each as against the #3,500 you gave. I thought, maybe there was a promo so I didn't argue. I requested for account details and even followed up with calls before it was sent.

I transferred money for four (2 front and 2 rear) (#10,220 & additional #1,750 transport to PH as requested) and sent screenshot of the transaction but, didn't get any feedback. I had to call in the evening of the same day, but was told by the lady who picked that they had closed for the day and I would get confirmation the next day. Next day, I didn't hear from them so, I put a call through again.

On the 15th of September, I got an email from him (Emma) informing me of and additional #4,000 to ship from the US. I was upset and asked him to cancel the transaction. He apologized and said I was going to get a refund. After waiting for long and calling him severally, which he was always apologizing, I had a change of heart and forwarded the #4,000 on the 18th of September since the refund wasn't forthcoming.

I waited ten (10) days and called but I kept getting stories any day I called so, I stopped calling.

On the 13th of October, I got a call from him that the items will be sent same day and I should expect them on Monday (15th). I was not given a waybill or tracking number.

I had to call again this morning since I haven't heard from anyone and a lady (Blessing) picked. She explained she wasn't aware but, was going to look into it and get back to me which she has done in the course of me typing this lengthy report. She said, the items will be sent to me FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING.

After looking into this I'm sorry you experienced this and would like to tell you this case is the exception not the rule. There are other people even on this forum who I'm sure will tell you these events are an anomaly. My employees are honest and while I apologize for the inconvenience, the delays were not on our end. I'd like to address all the issues you mentioned one at a time and accept responsibility for all my employees' actions.

You were charged less because I instructed it. I tend to try to give Nairaland a surprise discount at order time if I know about their orders. In rare cases if the item has to be ordered from the manufacturer, they might charge a handling fee which is passed on to the customer and I think that's what happened in this case and will follow up to see. Regardless, the N4,000 will be refunded.

Waybills and tracking numbers are not provided to customers because GIG USA only gives us a consolidated waybill number that is only good until it arrives Lagos.

It is 6-10 days but i do know that some orders were delayed because of GIG logistics. I have attached a screenshot. My employees were supposed to inform customers of the problem and seen to have dropped the ball in your case. Please see email sent to me below.

From what I understand, since Friday when the shipment finally arrived, numerous calls have been placed to GIG to pick up your parts to send to Port Harcourt and they have failed repeatedly to show up. The employee you spoke to today was planning on taking the initiative to go to the bus park in the morning to send you the parts since GIG within Nigeria had proven to be unreliable. We will be finding an alternate shipper for local deliveries to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. Once again I apologize.

No, it means replacing parts that are required for routine maintenance like oil and other fluids, filters, belts, hoses,spark plugs, spark plugs wires, etc. What is changed depends on both mileage as well as observation.

Thank you for the promise to refund the #4,000. But, that is not my grouse. I was upset with him because it took two (2) days after I transferred the money for him to tell me that. And, I had to keep calling severally for them to at least confirm receipt of payment. It was on the 15th he finally told me that. Meanwhile, I made payment on the 12th and was calling from 12th till 15th just for them to confirm.

I totally understand. It took two days because that's when he got the call from the manufacturer. Also, we were primarily using Skye bank and around time you made payment is when it went defunct and was taken over by Polaris so we were unable to confirm payments or even access accounts for a while. It was just a perfect storm Murphy's law situation where everything that could go wrong did.

Between Skye bank, your part only being able to come from manufacturer who then charged a handling fee, strike happening at airport and failure to pick up by GIG, it was a truly facepalm moment. Other customers were okay because they were kept informed but you fell through the cracks and we will do better. Again, truly sorry.

Got a call from GIG head that they will make sure to pick up and deliver to you. If we don't see them in the morning tomorrow, we will go with plan B. Thank you for giving us another chance.

This is another example of why we do not accept third party diagnoses.

So here is a case of a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe whose engine had been taken apart twice. The diagnosis was that a new engine would be required. It was brought to our shop and diagnosis was. .... drumroll please... IT NEEDED NEW PLUGS AND THE ENGINE OIL WAS VERY DIRTY shocked

Could we have made it seem like a larger problem? Yes. But that's not the Rad Auto Works way. Quick fix and back on the road.
