But permit me to drop my little piece of Advice.

No 1, Always write in German. I mean always send your mails in German language. So far, that has help me immensely so I speak of what I have experienced.

No 2, When writing, pls include the Application number given on your receipt on the day of your visa interview. You ll see something like DEU / 508377 /2018....... . That's the Application number. Include it in the body of your mail as well as the Subject of your Email.

For clarity sake, a sample is below.


Good Morning. My name is TRAVEL, GENERAL NAIRALAND. On September 6th, 2018, I had a student visa interview at the German Embassy in Borno, Nigeria. My application number is DEU / 123456/20180906/000123456.
My enrollment deadline at the University of Bitcoins, Germany is fast approaching. I would kindly like to know the status of my student visa application. I look forward to your favourable response. Thank you.

I'd appreciate any help you may render.

(Conclusion)

N/B. This letter has to be signed by the HOD of the department you graduated from before you take it to the Registrar.
I didn't graduate from Unilorin but I used a letter of English language proficiency and want to believe the format is the same.

yes you need either BA / SL to extend your visa at the alien office

Understand that AM is NOT a Visa.
It simply means Approval Mail (that is, your visa application is successful)
If you don't provide financial means, then your passport will not stamped.

It's finally out. AM is out today after 4 weeks of waiting and praying.
Interview date on the 20th September 2018, funded BA before interview. AM 19th October 2018. It has been Baba God all the way.
