I noticed most hotels in Nigeria (I don't know about the ones in the North) only have the Holy Bible for lodgers.

While this is a good developments, I always wonder what about adherents of other religions?

Christainity as a religion is open to all and transparent.

There are Muslims who will find it offensive, if they see you reading the Quran.
Christians on the other hand, encourage you to read the Bible.

Before you say anything, I know muslims who don't like anyone talking about the Quaran.

It's simple. The Holy Quran comes written in Arabic language, that's why you have to learn the language to be able to read it. Translated versions of the Quran are not acceptable to true muslims as they believe it's been doctored. There is no point in giving out a book written in a language that outsiders can't understand.

actually, it is the same in the west. Now, that brings up question of fundamentalism and religious persuasion. If MUSLIMS do the same they label them something despicable. Most hotels in Western countries have Bible(s) in their rooms. It is their fundamental believe system. Why can't Muslims do the same without being seen as extremists?

The idea,motivation and sacrifices that come with the placement of those bibles there don't come by religion.

lol, this is illogical. Hotel by definition is meant to provide accommodation for travellers especially. It is not designed for fornication or adultery. But people may do Haram things they want while hotel establishment is not responsible for that. However, hotel management may accommodates Haram stuff like alcohol etc. But this has nothing to do with whoever doesn't want to drink alcohol or fornication.

In Nigeria, we have different definition of hotel from day 1. We have the idea that hotel primary use is for Haram activities. If you travel to another country where you don't know anyone, you have to rent hotel. You possibly carry your Quran with you too. And I do this. I rent hotels all the time and I see their Bible placed in the drawer on the side.

That's because the Bibles are sponsored by the Bible Society of that particular country and they are regarded as donations to such establishments.

As to why Qurans can't be found, I guess that's a question for NSCIA or Muric.
