Hi nairalanders, I’m happy to stumble a thread like this. I have read a few on the thread and it has answered a few questions I have. But i still have some.

So I have family members in Chicago and Maryland.

I would like to ask, how do I check for hospitals in both Chicago and Maryland. “ if anyone knows any hospital in Chicago or Maryland and the average cost” I’ll appreciate please.

Thank you.

Thank you very much.
Off recent a lot people come here asking questions that are just a click away in their face
It beats me when I see questions like
''I want to have my baby in the USA how do I apply for a Visa ''
Or ''do I but this and this for drop box.''
Or '' how do i schedule drop box.''
I guess this the reason it is said if you want to hid something from a lot of people write it down.

Reine22:
You should then asked her for the hospital’s contact details. This thread is not for spoon feeding.

Is it a bad to ask a question about the hospitals from the experience of nairalanders. FYI i have a few i have googled and i read the reviews which are not very good....Those with experience can advise. If you don’t have an answer to that then don’t bother answering.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Momo13: 4:39pm On Oct 27, 2018
I see people acting cocky here. They just want to breeze in, ask questions, demand answers and move on.
Issokay.
When I joined this thread people were not nice at all.
Go and read part 4.
You will know that you're already being spoon fed.
Silver spoon for that matter.
Ridiculous is when you come here to ask how to fill your form.
Or how to schedule interview
Or that you want to give birth in " USA" aunty there are 50 states in this country.
Texas is bigger than the United Kingdom.
Please don't embarass yourself.
Read. Read small at least.
Use the search button.
Type in the state, heck! Type in the hospital you've Googled for first hand Naija reviews.
Nigerians will say it as it is.
Enough said.

Honestly o

The thing do me like film trick. I actually was very tired as it was a long trip and I still had another plane to catch in less than an hour so I didn't want to beat around the bush by saying "better medical care".

In retrospect, I may have been too blunt in saying I wanted my child the opportunity of dual citizenship which was the truth... I don't think I would have said it so bluntly if I wasn't too tired to think. It really did hit a wrong nerve with him.

I had to check my i94 when I got to my final destination to make sure I was fully stamped in

On a lighter note I think you flipped the psychological tables. Not too many people can do that. What's your height? cheesy

Seriously, I think what the Visa Officer wrote at your last interview was at play today again.

Lol @height

I think it may have been worse if I had said "for better medical service" which is (probably) what he may have expected me to say.

I don't know jare.

That my last interview get as e be sef... as I posted last year, the VO said she would put a note that I can't access medical care with the visa. That's why immediately the cbp asked me why I was here the last time I just volunteered the information that I had a baby grin

I wonder why a lot of you are being so touchy today. It is not a bad thing to ask a question ma, but it is when you expect pple to do the ground work for you and just provide you answers. The child you are planning to have is yours, why not do the extra by googling.

Wife and I have two kids, two different hospitals in the same state. I took out time to google and contact most via email, while she called them to follow up till we got the one we just used. No need to sound cocky by telling someone to ignore your question, it's a public forum and everyone has the right to post or respond to any post.

Oh congrats, still trying to find something reasonable. Got an apartment but because I and family will only be staying for 2 months they are charging us over a $1k a month for a one bedroom. How much did you pay for sharing though?

FYI before you conclude and say “go and google”. I have checked out some hospitals John Stroger Cook County and St Francis hospital in Chicago. By the way im not a “ma”. I’m doing the research on behalf of my wife. People share their experience here to help each other. So if you used a hospital and the service was bad you will notify people to avoid hospitals like that. If the service was good you will also advise. So I don’t see anything bad asking a question about hospitals in Chicago as a bad thing.
