The program structure of their masters degree program in communication is excellent and the curriculum was impeccable.their state of art facilities is also top notch and it will further broaden my horizon in communication and public relations. Also I have been in contact with some lecturers and prof. Most especially prof Adrian. He has agreed for me to join his research team.

Me :yes. I showed him. He checks
White man : what will you do when u get back to Nigeria
Me: to take over my dads company because I currently work with him
White man sadpicks white paper) I will be approving your visa, you will get a text where to pick up your visa. But I need to verify your statements for fraud. I hope you know if they are found to fraud u will get a 10 year ban.

I already got my i20 for University of New Haven, Spring 2019. We should work together. I was about chastising you for the question *How did you know about the school?*when I got to know that you got admitted to University of New Haven too.

1. You didn't mention the school you are going to.

2. Your response to "How did you hear about the school?" started with a weak line.

What if you rephrase, I heard about it while reading one of Prof Don Morel's research Paper on Photovoltaic Solar energy system. I contacted the Prof to show my interest in his work and he advised that I should officially apply to the university.

3. I don't think you will be asked how many schools you considered, it could only be "How many schools did you apply to?" Then outrightly mention the names of the schools, ensure you mention fully, unlike you did here, using abbreviations.

4. Did you really mean "How are the schools related?" or you wanted to say "What do they have in common?" If the answer is the common relationship between the schools, the mention of having potential supervisors in all the schools does not sound well, to me though, ain't a VO. You may think of a program or research common to all.

5. Why did you choose the school over others? If your second point is real, it's welcome, but that first point needs to be rephrased and brief, as no VO will wait for you to say all what you have there without cutting in as usual. Be brief with the first point, then mention number 2.

6. USA might be the best country to study Engineering, but that might not sound convincing to a VO, if your school is not a top ranking school.

What if you start with "Universities in the US are the only universities that look holistically into my transcript rather than the title of my degree as I had to evaluate my HND with the world education services before I was considered for an admission. But wait, evaluating your result has nothing to do with why you choose a school over others.

Please, don't mention the fact that you were rejected from schools in other countries.

7. What will this degree do for you? It could be disastrous to say you will be applying to jobs in the Ministry of Power where you can present your ideas. There is a better way of presenting the same statement but more convincing.

Then, find a better way of involving your dad's company at the second point, you can do better, please.

I wish you success...

Hello house,
Please I have been following the thread for a while now, I am willing to pursue a Masters degree in the US as a fresh graduate of Physics and Electronics. I really need help on how to go about applying to schools and getting a scholarship(part or full).
I already registered for TOEFL and GRE.

Please I really need help, I am a complete neophyte in these.
Thanks.

You are on the right path. I will advise you use usnews.com to find schools offering your program of choice. Read through their requirements, what they offer, and funding opportunities. If you have questions, you can ask on here. Btw, what school is your Bsc from?

Try calling. That's what I did

This Is for every F1 applicant planning to go through Abuja embassy.
The new policy now is that they verify all bank statements before they issue visa. Please don't go with fake bank statement,it's an automatic 10 year ban.

Not only abuja embassy, Lagos too...infact every embassy...we should stop with fake documents altogether. We've already been tagged as fantastically corrupt. Hand them less negative tags to pin on us.

Spring2019:
Good evening everyone. I have been a silent reader but I decided to create an account to ask my question.

I applied to some universities in the US around September and finished all my applications september ending. October 1 was the deadline for these schools so I made sure I finished my applications. I am amazed that till now I haven't gotten any response from any of them. People are already going for interviews and I haven't even gotten admission for spring 2019. I am going for bachelors. Though I noticed most people with admission are those going for masters so maybe it's faster for them. Does it take this long for undergraduate admissions?

Also, if I get the admission latest second week in November hope it is not too late as I intend to get my I20 sent down through DHL or FedEx and if the school resumes on the 7th of Jan, can I get an expedited appointment three weeks before or two weeks before as I have noticed people that get emergency appointments are those whose school resumes in a week.

Please I would love these two questions to be answered. Thanks

Please someone should reply this

Yea, most of the time, except those that are awarded full funding... Scholarships and assistantships that covers their expenses; obviously those ones do not really need verifying. I wouldn't know if they verify their SOAs

I think November ending should still be good for your I-20, once u are able to pay your SEVIS fee ASAP, carefully fill ds 160 form, pay nd book visa interview.
u shud also be able 2 get an expedited date as a 1st timer, that's if your program kicks off within 30 days.
I am for Spring 2019, ULL, MSC. I never get admission, my school's Funding decision comes out by December 1st. So I won't get my I-20 till about 1st or 2nd week of December. Admission decision should be available by 2nd or third week of November though but I seriously need that POSITIVE FUNDING decision. I'm super confident and relaxed.
You can't hasten ur schools decision, u can check their website thoroughly, mail them and you will get an idea of when u will get an admission decision. Keep praying nd hope for the best.
GOOD LUCK!!!
