A bit of a grey area. Like @raphrulz noted, so have case officers have calculated it using months.

If his CRS score is a bit high, why doesn't he wait one month to avoid stories that touch?
I want to get clarity, I graduated Sept 2015 and started teaching in October 2015 for 6 months b4 I went for NYSC, can't I use it as work experience?

Sincerely i have given advice that they wait till end of November, even if they get say November 28th draw, which is very ok.

But with the 3 yrs experience, score is 440. Anxiety things since its just the base score these days.

Note: candidate has been in pool since January of 2018 grin grin

Hello everyone,

Please why do I get emails saying I have a message on my CIC account but when I log in, there's no message. This has happened 2x.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Lol raphrulz. You owe us 20 marks for your error.

The person said he/she does not have ITA yet. My guess is that the updates are "How to find jobs" and "Express Entry Profile created".

Wow since january. I understand the stress mhen.

Kai its very dicey. Its a risk though.. but if he/she is willing to take it.. then who knows. But the person should bear in mind that visa officers don't reason the same way. Some may be fine with it... and some may tag it as misrepresentation.

If you look at it in the real sense, claiming 3 years for 2 years and 11 months... is actually not true. So, a visa officer that gives the person a pass, has probably done the person a favour.

But like I earlier said, let the person weigh his/her options well before arriving at a conclusion.

For me, i would rather wait.

Hi everyone.
Its a PPR, COPR announcement!!! Single applicant.
Work has been attempting to drown me, so I haven't come to NL in a while. I love to read the thread silently :-)

ITA - 25th April
Day I applied - 4th June
RPRF request (ADR) - July 7th

If you didn't pay RPRF upfront and you get the ADR for it, just know you are getting it, but when? you may not be certain. (So, I didn't pay RPRF upfront, on purpose).

PPR - Oct 3rd
COPR - 17th, but vfs delivered it a week later.

I don't know how to copy and paste from older posts, but I'm the person who asked what to do if you have a sibling in Canada that you do not wish to claim points from. My people on here started getting (unnecessarily) emotional and scriptural. I recall statements like: this PR process is a lesson in humility, swallow your pride and beg your sibling and make up, blabla. I ignore such talks anyway, as they are quite distracting. Dear emotional commentators, I appreciate your time, but: Life happens. We deal and move on. A story you don't know the half of it, you already prescribed medicine solely to get Canadian points when I clearly stated: I do not want the points or need them. If your points are 467, what exactly are you looking for how to add 15points again? #sigh People will make up when they do. And its always sustainable when its not parasitic.

Anyway, I got to Canada visa thread and there were loads of non-nigerians with such PRACTICAL LIFE'S issues for various reasons. So I found out no particular way was wrong. What i did: i listed the sibling, got the additional points on my ITA, wrote a note to the VO, saying that the 15 points can be deducted as I still make the cut without it - so I won't be providing documentation for relationship. And that worked fine - Westerners understand that even as an offspring of another, nobody forces you to care for your parents even. It's not a big issue if you choose not to identity with X or even choose to be female when you're "physically" male.

Other persons with such issues simply answered NO to "do you have a sibling in canada"? That still works. So do the one that lets you sleep well :-)

I don't know my VO as I didn't order notes.
Any issues, just keep calm and READ page 1. There's no need fretting, to be honest.

I also think as much as are on this thread, desiring to get PR, will get it. Canada needs people and everyone here will go jejely.

Oh dear cry. I hope I have put in all the required NL info? (I haven't read in a while so I'm not sure what I've missed). I'm not exactly religious, but BE ENCOURAGED! All the very best to everyone!

I have a question, I'm filling the post ITA forms and I'm stuck at the personal activity section. The period I was waiting to get into law school, what option do I pick?

From what I gathered from someone who got PR as self employed, he used letters of commission and proof of payments in the account(based on Letters of commission) as proof. That is what I intend to do as well as I can't be chasing clients upandan with letters.
Sthill5:
Good morning Guys

So I couldn't find a sample reference letter on the thread from a client for self employed candidates.

The clients I approached asked me to draft the letter then they can sign etc

I'm getting 5 letters and was thinking it would be weird to have them all sound the same.

Is there a particular format I should use?

As in a study/annual leave meaning you are still employed by the main company, right? And you can get a reference letter from them covering this period you are also in another place?

First... Congratulations on your PPR and COPR... May the land favour you
Second... I rarely respond to people's personal issue on this thread cos sometimes it might be very sensitive HOWEVER, when you come on public forum like this to ask for help, expect people to give you advice based on the information you provide to them. I am almost certain that if you had mentioned that your point is 467, most people would have advised accordingly. My advise is that if you dont want emotional commentators to comment emotionally, then either dont bring it to public forum or give full facts so as to be guided without emotion.

I graduated from UNIBEN 2014/2015 session which was stated on the certificate
They also indicate that the certificate was given in Nov 2016 which was my convocation date and it's also indicated on my transcript and SOR that I graduated in 2015
