She's just another spoiler.

There are over 50 political parties in the US, but only Democrats and Republicans take the White House.

Elections can only be won with the right political structures and not by rhetorics or social media followership.
Trump was a Democrat, he then defected to GOP, he got there and changed the narrative, imposing his ideas and got a cult followership.

As far as Nigeria's 2019 election is concerned, the only choice before us is APC or PDP. Anyone could decide to waste his or her vote where it would not count. Vote APC if you want us to continue this way, or PDP if you think there is ever another way out.

Any vote aside these 2 is just as good a vote for APC.
Trump was first registered as a republican and was so for many years. He constantly changed is affiliation to different political parties. The use of your trump was a democrat and defect to republican is misleading

whyman:
*HOW ATIKU MADE NIGERIA THE POVERTY CAPITAL OF* *THE WORLD:*

A. NigerDock is the largest ship fabrication yard in West Africa sub region. When it was sold, its Ex-MD Engr. Nkpubre Okon, openly stated how "Mr Job Creator" ignored the Transport Ministry then to Open bid for NigerDock.

The VP's camp preferred bidder, 'Global Energy' that agreed to increase NigerDock's workforce from 4,800 to 6,000 as part of privatization agreement dismissed 2,200 immediately it took ownership. Jagal Group that took over after Global Energy lost out on power play also sacked 1,400.

B. Nigeria Port Authority reform was purely contrived to grab landed properties. 10,000 workers were sacked & 133 bids opened for NPA properties consisting of 68 properties in Apapa, 28 houses in Ikoyi. The highest reserves bid was for a property in Ikoyi fixed at N390.4 Million.

C. NIGERIA RAILWAY
Did @atiku forget how 7000 railway workers were sacked in 2005 without compensation to reduce its workforce to 6,300? Another 1,260 were fired in 2006. When ATIKU and his Headmaster were leaving in 2007, they left ~N5 Billion in unpaid Railway pension arrears.

D. FEDERAL SECRETARIAT IKOYI
In 2006, Babalakin's Resort Ltd acquired this 15 storeys prime asset overgrown with weeds from @atiku and OBJ through a Development Lease Agreement (DLA) for N7.2Billion. A Court has asked Buhari to pay N54 Billion to Babalakin for their blunder. https:///cD7bTBBD6f.

The DLA, dated October 10, 2006, granted Resort Ltd a 99-years lease to redevelop the Federal Secretariat complex, that OBJ & ATIKU had abandoned for 7 years into 480 luxury apartments. This was at the eve of their departure from government. The transaction was one for the road.

The DLA hit the rocks when Lagos State Govt in the interest of the public indicated willingness in acquiring the Federal Secretariat complex. LASG insisted it should be accorded right of first refusal since LASG is the Issuing Authority of the C of O, coupled with other reasons.

Finally, lets compare OBJ & @atiku's first 3yrs in power to the first 3yrs of PMB that hasn't retrenched one civil servant, but has bailed out states on salaries. Lets not forget Atiku was in charge of the economy and OBJ gave him free hand until Galaxy Backbone scandal happened.

In 2002, first 3yrs of the ENDORSEE and the ENDORSER, manufacturing accounts for 6% of GDP. Nigeria's GDP fell by half for d first time in 20yrs. This was d year all textile factories in Nigeria closed down and unemployment was 28% within d formal sector alone; I repeat, alone!!

In 2002, UN estimated that 70% of Nigerians live below poverty line compared to 48.5% in 1998 under a military rule. Life expectancy fell from 54yrs to 51yrs. Two-fifth of every child below age 5 were malnourished and only 50% of d 128Million Nigerians have access to clean water.

FACTUAL REPORT ON HOW ATIKU SUPERVISED THE SALES OF OVER 145 FG INVESTMENTS AS A VICE PRESIDENT !!!

Please I do not have any partisan political agenda, rather factual report on ATIKU as a Presidential aspirant in Nigeria.

Please any or all ATIKU supporters or his campaign structure are free to deny these submission with facts not sentiments.

“As Head of National Council on Privatization (NCP), from 1999, @atiku dug Nigeria's economic grave for today's extreme poverty and unemployment.

There were over 600 federal assets when @atiku's NCP started selling.

Atiku should tell us who bought what and what was left for the country when he left power.

In 2007, Onigbolo Cement operating at 500,000 tonnes per annum was sold to Dangote at N1.7Bn

To those selling Atiku, let me remind you of @NGRSenate public hearing of August, 2011 which succinctly captures how @atiku through retinue of cohorts, fronts, shell companies, ring fenced over 70% of FG's assets through a brazen daylight robbery privatization that he supervised.

This is nothing sensational. Its real life facts and all the Senators are alive today.

The 2011 privatization Senate committee was made up of Senator Ahmed Lawan – Chairman, Senators Babafemi Ojudu, Philip Aduda, Mohammed Ndume, Ifeanyi Okowa, Hope Uzodinma and Mohammadu Magoro.

Lets look at Aluminium Smelting Company, ALSCON, that Atiku privatized.

ALSCON which Nigeria built with $3.2 billion, was sold to a Russian firm, Russal, for $130million. As of the time of sale, ALSCON had received $120million for the dredging of Imo River, but was never done.

When the Senate Seating of August, 2011 asked the Russian company the whereabouts of the $120million dredging money, the company's Deputy Managing Director, Vitaly Kuzrestov, said that the money has been used for Environment Impact Assessment." EIA kii you there.

FG's Five percent share in Eleme Petrochemical worth USD27 million was never presented to at the National Council on Privatization before t'was sold to Indorama.

Indorama recovered this amount selling Polyethylene and Urea to the entire west Africa sub-region in just 14 months.

The Atikulate Business Theory: Sell to yourself Government assets that leaves millions in penury, to set up personal businesses that provides for a few. @Atiku didn't employ the few hundreds he employed because he likes them, he needs them to work to preserve what he took from Government.

Fam, the business acumen of Atiku you are bandying about is smelly.

A man who supervised sales of over 145 federal investments as a vice president, without a thought for today wants to be president.

He didnt revitalize them.

He didnt resuscitate them.

He sold them to whomever.

May Nigeria succeed”

Assuming all of these were true, were we better as a nation than we currently are now? If yes which exactly is what it is, then keep shut please. We aren't buying any more of these hullabaloo.

Atiku for 2019 for a working economy.

With crude at $80/bbl and exchange rate at N305/$? (special fx by FG for importers)

A barrel of crude is about 159 liters of crude.

Just dividing the $80 (N24,400) by 159 liters already gives a price of N153.4/liter without any processing.

So, by the time you factor in refining and transportation costs, THERE IS NO WAY the price will come as low as the 85/90 naira price PDP are claiming to reduce the price to.

The presidential candidate of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has exposed the ignorance of its flag bearer Atiku Abubakar, with its statement on price of fuel.

Ezekwesili said PDP’s claim that Atiku will reduce pump price of petrol to N90 only showed that the former Vice President was ignorant of the economy.

In a statement during the week, the PDP promised Nigerians that it will “crash fuel
pump price to N90,” if returned to power.

But in a statement made available to DAILY POST and signed by the National Chairman of ACPN, Gani Galadima, Ezekwesili said the main opposition party was only trying to deceive Nigerians.

whats her own with Atiku

The statement said, “Today, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, reminded us of why both they and the APC are one of the same, fielding a single candidate
called #BuTiku.

“This is 419, and it betrays the PDP candidate’s ignorance of how
Basic Economics and the solutions Nigeria truly needs.

“The country ended 2018 with 4trillion of Fiscal Deficit.

“Where will they find money to slash fuel price? Even if FG had such money, is it because they want another round of Subsidy-Slush Fund that they want to take the country deeper into the corrupted and market-distorting fuel price fixing method?

“The Obiageli Ezekwesili For President 2019 campaign is all for market-determined pricing which will end up more favourable to the poor who have been and continue bearing the effect of corrupted subsidy regimes more while the rich enjoy the benefits.

“This is a reminder to Nigerians that Abubakar Atiku’s so-called and questionable business acumen does not qualify him to run this economy. Obiageli Ezekwesili is the only candidate in the race who has built and rebuilt national economies in Nigeria and outside, with a track record to show for it.”

Ivy, y are certainly the ignorant one here. I may not be an economist but I know that before now, the fg was paying less for subsidy and the price of pms was less. Even though the subsidy claims were inflated. Now, the subsidy claims have tripped and the price of fuel gone higher. That means something bis wrong. So, if things are done properly, you don't need be borrow any money to service the subsidy, rather finding out why the claims were trippled and the price of pms this high. Any body who will want to leverage on this present status is corrupt.

It takes 2 years to build a refinery . It shows how visionless and clueless buhari is. Imagine Waiting for Dangote to build a refinery to help the domestic consumption. What have they done to encourage modular refineries from springing up? The same buhari promised that all they needed to do to fix it was remove subsidy and Nigerians gave them the go ahead. No strikes , no fights. Yet , now he still pays subsidy.

All I would like to know is how does Atiku plan to do this? Promises without a clear cut plan are just insufficient. And the earlier we Nigerians start asking the hows, the better, orwe will remain stagnant. After all APC promised $1 to N1 and nobody asked how

I though this woman is learned.

If we have our refineries up and running won't it crash the fuel price even more to N80 or lower?

Smh for this woman.
Even if our refineries were working, the only way petrol can be sold for N80 is if the govt subsidises it; or if our economy picks up so well that $1 becomes less than N100.

At $80/barrel, petrol should sell for about N150. If the govt then decides to just peg the price at N80, that already means a foregone ~N70 per litre which the govt would have made if it had just sold the crude at $80. You really do think you're smarter than Oby?

You tried in your analysis but you have fallen short.
From your analysis, 153.4 is the cost per litre of crude. That same crude contains kerosene, petrol, diesel, heavy oils, gas. These ones too contribute to the 153.4. So if petrol makes up 40% of the crude, then the real petrol cost per litre is 61.36. Factor in your processing cost and you still make profit at 90. Don't forget that Dangote refinery will be operational from 2019 so you can remove logistics cost. He might also have plans to get the local refineries working. So listen more and judge less.

I admire your analysis but hell, this is it. The workings of any economy isn't static owing to varying factors which could lead to the appreciation of it's currency.

With the inevitable change in govt (with Atiku at the helms), it would receive a colossal acceptance from the already tired masses leading of course to stability of the polity. This in itself would give rise to monetary speculations favourable to the Naira (I hope u know what I mean).

Atiku being an accomplished bussines man with track record and in synergy with his deputy who equally is an astute intellectual in bussines, working business models and it's associated paraphernalia, sure as hell would have revitalized and revamp the Nigerian economy into a world recognized working model (you aren't oblivious of the massive Nigerian resources in human and mineral stocks that abound within and without the country), hence you will agree that these variables would have ignited a rapid drop in Inflation rate...
What these would have achieved for us is a Naira that is strong, virile and robust, literally appreciated amongst the comity of currencies and you by now know what it neans, an exchange rate less than N180 to a $, do the beautiful arithmetic you had previously done using the revised parameters I have posited and see if Pump Price of Fuel wouldn't sell for the proposed figure by the PDP Atiku-Obi camp!

2019 Atiku or nothing, and by the way, who takes this Ezekwesili woman serious sef...she always appears to me as the last 4 letters in her name.

I think you sounded more convincing especially in the area of exchange rate. We all knew the exchange rate of Naira before this present administration took over.

My own question is that apart from subsidy or petroleum price reduction, there are serious major areas that needs to be addressed as quick as possible, such as

1. Exchange rate

2. Price of food

2. Infrastructures such as power, roads, railway

4. Reviving the industrial/manufacturing sector

5. Enhancing our economy to focus more on knowledge based sector to position it to maximize its participation in the global economy

6. Housing, creating up to 10 new mega cities

7. Affordable and available healthcare for ordinary Nigerians

8. Education (although I believe this should be among the first)

9. Improving values, attitude and respect of life and cultures set by our progenitors

These are the critical areas that needs to be addressed. If these are not immediately tackled the condition of the nation will be getting worse.
This is a very serious challenge for any administration coming in to governance in 2019.

Thank you so much for that clear cut analysis!!!
He and the other guy were sounding very vague!!
