please rohr can start omeruo in any othe rmatch but not against south Africa...

I don't want a repetition of what transpired in oyo some.years back.
I now believe in reverse psychology.

let him watch proceedings from the bench...the he can start other matches.

The South Africa game was like 3 years ago na. Save for d fact that Omeruo is found of making errors leading to goal,he is a good defender and currently in form..But if Rohr doesn't want to start Omeruo,he should pls not start Balogun. Balogun is match rusty..it showed against Libya.. unless Balogun gets some game time before d SA game, I'll pick Omeruo ..or Ajayi

NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALL AWARDS!

A good and blessed Morning House.

We have all analyzed football here for a couple of years now. We have tasted the joys of victory and agonies of defeat from different competitions we have participated in. And each one we have come out better as we have always learnt one, two or more lessons.

Believe it or not we have here in the house some of the best followers and analysts of Nigerian football. Forget that we argue all the time, but these arguments generally have yielded fruits in certain areas and our national teams have gotten better for it.

DON'T WE THINK IT IS TIME WE STARTED ROLLING OUT AWARDS, IN VARIOUS CATEGORIES, TO WELL DESERVING NIGERIAN NATIONAL TEAM FOOTBALLERS?

Now this is just a suggestion.

If a larger part of the house agree, we go ahead and set up a players selection committee which will be saddled with the responsibly of:
1. Coming up with various award categories eg: Most improved player in 2018, best Nigerian goal in 2018, Most impressive new inclusion, Best young player (U20 and U17), Best SE Goal keeper 2018, Nigerian Player of the year, best Super Falcons player etc.
2. Nominating players for the various award categories selected above (Maximum of 3 for each category). Note that criteria for the selection of these players must be spelt out.
3. Collating and announcing of results after the votings.

How do we come up with who and who will make up the Players' Selection committee?
I would suggest a 3 Man (or woman smiley) Committee. The house will have to suggest monikers. Every member of this thread or even visitors would have to nominate one person he or she feels should be a member of this committee. Note that you cannot nominate your self and you cannot nominate more than 1 person. 3 monikers with the highest number of nominations will form the players selection committee.

If we agree, we can set 1 week period for which we can suggest names for the selection committee and the selection committee will have to start work immediately after the Nigeria vs Uganda friendly. So that the voting process will commence first week in December.

At the end of the exercise a thread will be created to publish the names of awardees and mods called upon to take to front page or we may even take it to the sports sections of major News Papers in Nigeria.

Note again that it is just a suggestion and open to more ideas and suggestions.

The simple thing to do for a start is if you agree you click "like" and if you do not agree you click ''share''.

Sometimes it's duly recommended to visit this wonderful thread if your Mood is in a mess State. You gonna have to give it to some Dudes, cos they would definitely crack you up with their Jokes Posts.

Though it's quite some Days ago NFF released the List for the South Africa and Uganda Games, but candidly speaking - the List is flawed.

Rohr is adjusted to playing only a Striker in either 4 - 3 - 3 or 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 Formations respectively, hence why did he invite 4 Strikers at the Expense of Midfielders?! Nacho, Success, Osimhen and Ighalo, all in the List for what exactly?!

To train, catch fun with the rest of the Squad and get paid for doing nothing by the NFF?! I read some Dudes argued that Midfield is covered cos Ajayi can play in the Position, does it really make sense at all?!

Why did he sacrifice Onyekuru for Chukwueze in the List?! Didn't he feel the Lad gonna be disappointed?! And we expect him to be happy being on the Standby List?! Rohr shouldn't have invited him at all instead of enlisted him on the Standby List.

I expect Eagles to soar higher in South Africa and clinch the Ticket with a Match to go, but Rohr must up his Game or shown the Exit the Door.

Regarding Onyekuru omission, I won't blame Rohr.. Galatasary released a statement that Onyekuru would be out for 4 weeks.. That must have been why Rohr left him out..
Though the list came a bit too early...
Chukuwueze's invitation is a good thing... If he was foreign born some people would have been screaming for Rohr to cap invite him since all in the name of capping him early.

Iwobi benched for tonight's big game.

He can come in and score a consolation goal for arsenal after we finish dealing with them grin

Kai will I ever catch up now? Just getting back on NL since we started the nomination thing. Thanks to all who nominated other monikers as well as myself. Please let’s not argue about the process. At the end of the day it’s just for fun. But frankly speaking you can easily tell how votings will go in future by the leanings of the monikers in the committee. But is that not how politics is played? Nobody is saying the system is supposed to be perfect. Let’s just have fun with this.

Iwobi didn't touch the ball that much when he came on but he created chances with most of his passes... Brilliant! very brilliant....

The boy is certainly destined for great things under Unai Emery

Really amazing what Iwobi has turned out to be. Did u notice his team mates were desperate to get him the ball to help them create something for the team.

I noticed the boy now has that fear factor, hence whenever he was on the ball, the opposing defenders back pedal, he pounces by running deep at them
