You have forgotten bank charges

Just a new savings account, don't request for ATM, sms alert(email statement is good enough)..., you can also ask for a debit freeze on the account. This way you can't withdraw from the account except you deactivate the debit freeze.
You'll also have 6% intrest depending on your bank

Nigerian bank hasn't moved to the IBP of global banking system, making its country people preferring archaic ways of savings . Banks abroad you can set a transaction limit to your account for withdrawal.

I rather contract a carpenter to make me local piggybank (kolo) where I'll be doing my little savings or continue to stick with savings account in commercial bank.

I can't trust anything affiliate or some mobile app without any physical address and known security.

I make use of both, but cowrywise is better for me, as for piggybank, you might have temptations to withdrwaw from your savings anytime, from my experience so far on both platforms. cowrywise is better...

They will always give high rate to attract the investors and that's a sign that your money isn't safe with them.
