I won't bore you with any sermon. Straight to the point.. All the verses of the scriptures depict power and great glory... However, I have exceptions.. They are : 1. " And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly." (Exodus 19: 18) We serve a great God. 2. " And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD." (Exodus 19: 9). This is God honouring a man. No wonder God had to hid his body... It would have been worshiped 2 Likes |

3. " And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies . Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day." (Joshua 10: 13) This is God honouring another man. He reported that the day stayed longer for a whole day.. Then, it was believed that the sun moves while the earth was stationary.. The writer called the attention of the reader to the credibility of the story.. He said.. " is it not written in the book of jasher? Great and mighty God indeed. I am not surprised... Exodus 33 'verse.. 19 to 23... Moses said.. Show me your glory God.. God replied.. " And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy." (Exodus 33: 19) God said... You cannot see my face and live.. You should stay on a rock near me and I will hide you in a cliff. and I will cover you with my hand while I pass. Then I will pass and you will see my back... What!!!!!!!!! God honoured this guy Moses... I am sure he had to reduced himself so that Moses can see a part.. He created the sun. Can Moses stand 10 feet to the sun? This is mystery : How do you think Moses wrote the book of Genesis when he was not created then? Because he saw a part of God.. (Revelation 22 ) ------------ 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. This is incredibly beautiful... A vision of dread. At death, the souls of the sinners will tremble... Lucifer66: If darkness cannot be created by God, then he is not ALMIGHTY If he is not capable of creating disaster, then his power is limited.. That passage points to the fact That he is almighty, and can can do EVERYTHING. disaster happens when men go against the principles of God... His holiness will not allow him to look away... He remains faithful and because of his nature he steps away and the devil gets a Chance to do what he does best... The law of cause and effect bring some consequences to us... Don't steal... We steal and people go hungry. We steal money that is meant for construction of road, etc. and there is a bad road and there is an accident and someone dies... and we call God. Don't kill...we do, and their are consequences... Revenge, etc.. and we call God... The truth is, NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT GOD'S KNOWLEDGE.. I might not know what, but my God doesn't inflict his people with incurable disease... but if you don't belong to him, you are exposed to demonic activities.. which involves pain, disease and suffering... In Nigeria, many people go to church.. But very few are CHILDREN OF GOD... JESUS said... Many will say on that day... In YOUR name we prophesy.. and Jesus will say.. Lucifer66: Jesus healed a leaper, healed a man who has been lame for 38 years, healed a man who had a withered hand, restored the only son of that widow from death back to life, healed epilepsy, etc then God couldn't have been responsible for what those guys experienced. The devil is responsible. I refuse to believe that I can be afflicted with diseases BY GOD as a child of God.. Let me show you something : After Jesus healed a man who has been very lame for 38 years, he said to him... GO AND SIN NO MORE.... ELSE, A WORST THING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU... Sin brings worst things... It is very safe in Jesus ... Jesus doesn't afflict. He heals. I am human but I cannot afflict my children with disease and suffering... How much more God who is perfect, filled with mercy and grace? This one is unique. It is extremely beautiful. Matthew 27 ) ------------ 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; At the voice of Messiah, there was an earthquake and rocks were splited. This is a mystery : The veil of the temple was torn FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. Man will tear from down up.. and if he will tear from the top, he must climb something. It means, therefore, that a higher power from above tore that curtain that separated man from God. at the death of Jesus, we now have access to the most holy... This is a question... Why Was The curtain there and people denied access to the most holy, even though there was sacrifice of the blood of animals and rams? This is it: The blood of animals only cover their sin. It didn't remove it. Hence, they were not fit to enter his presence. After Jesus gave up the ghost, his blood did not cover our sins... It washed it away.. We are clean inside out. Hence the access. Nice and refreshing. Jesus is Lord. |

One of my best.. Jacob called his sons to tell them what will happen to them in the future..he was on his sick bed When he got to Judah, he gave One of the oldest prophecy about Jesus ... I just love it. Take a look: Genesis 49 vs 10... The sceptre shall not depart from Judah neither a lawgiver between his feet. Until Shiloh comes, unto him SHALL THE GATHERING OF THE PEOPLE BE. How old is this prophecy? God is great. |

If God chose the house of Judah to be the house of the future king David , why did God then choose Saul knowing fully well that the sceptre wouldn't depart from the house of Judah? Did Judah do anything to warrant this special treatment of his descendants being singled out as heirs to the throne of Israel? I know the children of Levi did when they killed their country men to stop their profanity . |
