If you can get the sealed Chinese version of the redmi 6 pro, fine if not please go for the mi a2 lite. A redmi 6 pro for a user on here has been bricked already because of trying to update the fake rom.

Just avoid anything unofficial on xiaomi. If you can't do with Chinese rom on 6 pro, don't buy

Please make sure you contact the seller first before placing order... Tell him you specifically want the Chinese version with sealed box.

The Phone(Chinese version) is now very scarce on Aliexpress; most of the sellers are out of stock for the device. Maybe because there is no global version for it

Redmi 5 plus = Redmi 5 plus

In India
Redmi 5 plus = Redmi note 5
Redmi note 5, Note 5 Ai = Redmi note 5 Pro

That's how xiaomi chose to name it

not confusing if you stick to a region. Everywhere and china name na im b koko. Redmi note 5, AI, Global version na d normal redmi note 5 we all know with dual camera. Redmi 5 plus too is redmi 5 plus. grin

No. If you're porting from stable to beta.

Yes. If you're porting from beta to stable.

Regardless, you should have your bootloader unlocked just in case wink

it was demonized because of the misconceptions that trail the name "China/Chinese".
To an average Nigerian, anything China or Chinese MUST be in Chinese language or substandard, thus robbing himself of the goodies it brings. Only those that have used both ROMs can relate tho kiss

My next Xiaomi phone is definitely gonna be a Chinese version... Will do whatever it takes to get it
