UK should keep the stolen artifacts. We don't need it. The ones here are not properly kept. We don't value arts, we only value money.

Exactly. Countless Syrian artifacts would have been lost forever after ISIS had the British Museum not already had them. Maybe one day in the future when this country is sorted out, we can have them. Now? They would just be stolen and melted down for profit.

You echoed my sentiment. Those bronze work art would sell well if Benin city and Nigeria in general knew the huge revenues that tourism brings. A UNESCO heritage site should be given a facelift worthy of its status while maintaining its aesthetic beauty. Honestly, our government needs to do a lot work to revamp the tourism industry in Nigeria because there are a lot beautiful but unexplored tourist attractions in Nigeria.

P.S: Good job Autojosh for shining the touch light on Benin city.

What are we going to do with them...??
Are they not better kept there...??
Do we have MAINTENANCE CULTURE to manage them...

I will never blame them any more

Don't mind him, if the Oyibo bring them back, It will be looted final by criminal politicians and sold to the oyibo again, or Edo State government will sell it just to pay salary.

Oyibo should hold it let's know they stole it illegal, I bet if you bring those things back to Benin, they will start losing,
they should hold it till we start valuing things

I visited this street years ago. The bronze works are amazing and invaluable - a rich depiction of Bini culture. They belong in museums. Sadly, we have none of those.
