Who told you it would affect battery?

If you don't experience those bugs mentioned in the changelog, then don't update

No. It wasn't like this last year.

Consignments from China used to be the easiest to clear and customs hardly check thoroughly like they do now.

They now check thoroughly because of some contrabands intercepted few weeks ago and on seeing sweet contents (which they hitherto have missed) , checking becomes biz.

Chances that nipost shipped items of values will be charged (either legally or illegally) is high. Especially those landing in the mean time, at least. Privately shipped items are being moved since they know nahco agents can't be bamboozled with duties

i ordered for a2 lite yesterday, 6 pro is just like d chinese version and some of them have OTA issues

Misleading information, Redmi 6 pro ONLY have OTA issues if shop roms are installed on it by shaddy sellers on AliExpress. Asides that, there is NOTHING like OTA issues, NOT even in SOME cases. Redmi 6 pro runs on MIUI while the A2 lite runs on stock android( Android One). That's the differences between both devices.

Well, my fears have been confirmed.
I went to the post office for my Redmi 5 plus and I was charged #6,077 (#5,027 for customs and #1,050 for Nipost).
This is really absurd and fishy at the same time. Even the guys at the PO were shocked when they saw the fee I was asked to pay.
Which way Naija?!!

@Gptech
Sorry oooo, if u never pay, negotiate with them so u can pay as little as possible, that payment na SCAM.

Since you are in the know, as regards vendor roms, you ought to have pointed that aspect out in your initial post.

In your friend's case, he should have specifically told the seller to send his device sealed and unopened. Or better still, purchase /order from any of our touts here.( i actually recommend this option though). He wouldn't have had that brick issue. Trust me. Peeps are using Redmi 6pro here without issues na, with default chinese rom sef.

It's hardware related and not software. If your device doesn't support glo band 28, no way are you gonna get glo 4G on it.

It is not true that you can use Glo 4G sim on any 4G enabled phone. Glo uses band 28 (700MHZ), so only phones with such spec can work with Glo 4G.

Besides Glo 4G is not everywhere
