Let's Make Airtel Pay For Cheating Nigerians by CDCEO001: 4:41pm On Nov 11, 2018
I've noticed that Airtel has become fund of cheating people by subscribing them to a service they no nothing about. When they subscribe you to the service, they withdraw money from your airtime credit balance.
They've been doing this to me and other innocent Nigerians. When you call their customer service center, they will remove the service but will not refund the money, then after about a week or so, they will again subscribe you to another service.
Sometimes you get a welcome message to a service you never subscribed to or know anything about.

Imagine how much they will make if they do it to just one million Nigerian. Most of the services are from N25 to N75 or more per week.
Most people don't even know when their balance has been reduced.
This is a crime and Airtel and other mobile networks in Nigeria needs to stop the rubbish.
Maybe no one has sue them to court about it, that's why they kept on doing it.

I've been calling them to unsubscribe me to their stupid services for about a year now. When they unsubscribe me, they won't refund and they subscribe me to something else after about a week or two.

Let's come up with something to do to them to make them pay and stop cheating on us.

Let's bombard them on twitter and other social media using these hash tags #airtel #airtelscam #nccdonothing as suggested by Amastermovic

Airtel don chop me die. I've lost count how many times I called their customer care or went to their office. They wan use their 'Airtel HEALTH WEEKLY' finish me. Never knew such service existed. Definitely did not subscribe for it. Just got a message telling me that my Airtel health weekly service had been renewed. Have tried all I could to unsubscribe what I did not subscribe for to no avail. They keep telling that the service has been deactivated on my line, only for it to renew itself a week later. I dey plan to port Sef.

Relevant authorities should pls do something about this.

How do we go about it my brother, my own Airtel has finished me and it is getting too much. I will load up 2k and use 1k to sub leave the rest for calls but instead I keep seeing 50# and 100# leaving my balance till the balance is 0.00. This was how mtn was deducting customers money until a fire was lit on their asshole.

Nigeria is just a big fraud canister, any little legit hustle is a medium to extort your customers.

....My own experience was with Glo. That brand dealt with my little credits.

Anyway for the 1st time in 5 years am enjoying its subscription now. I subscribed for a monthly plan well over a month but am still enjoying the internet.

I got an Airtel Sim and was automatically subscribed to this their gist guru nonsense. They keep deducting #50 like every three days and sent me an SMS containing the code for opting out only when my balance was #0. I tried opting out and they said it had stopped.

I Recharged few days later and they started deducting my airtime again. I've vowed to use d sim for data only and always leave my airtime at #0. once I've qualified to borrow airtime, I'll kindly borrow at least #500 and dump the sim.

All of you are complaining instead of suggesting progressive measures to kick Airtels butt

As for me, I suggest we go on twitter and show them pepper with the hashtag #airtelscam

DND has been around the corner since time immemorial. Send STOP to 2442. There is Partial DND and Full DND.
Select any of your choice. I called them many times myself before I finally activated DND. Since then, my airtime remains mine until it finishes. kiss

Oh.. You can. Dial 111. After the voice prompt, Select 3. After the next voice prompt, select 6. if this doesn't work, try 6 first, then 3.
You'll be told something about having your scratched recharge card or serial number around..then you'll be directed to a customer care agent.

Yes the same thing actually happened with me as well. I called the customer service to complain because I wanted to know how I subscribed for the service when I didn’t accept anything like this. The guy explained to me that I must have clicked on a promotion of this service online and all. I sha told him I didn’t want the service anymore and asked why they kept removing my Airtime.

He explained that the service can be used for Advertising and expressing yourself to callers. Like that MTN Callerfeel. You know that message that shows when you are dialing someone’s phone before they answer. Anyways, I sha told them to remove my number and refund me (which they did tho).

I was just calling a church member one day and saw her advertising her dried fish business before she picked my call. That was how I asked how she was able to set up the advert and she explained so I called Airtel customer care.

Basically, just dial *887# on how to set up the status message for your callers. I use it for my Hair business, i set it up on my 9Mobile line too. Not sure Glo has the service but it has helped me a lot especially with family and friends who forget my Instagram page.

If it works for you, you can go for it but I’m sure Airtel customer care can refund your money when you complain.

What I did was to report the Airtel Nigeria tp NCC and immediately NCC responded tomy mail putting Airtel Nigeria in copy, they too also replied and promised to look into it.

But since then they've stopped subscribing to their useless services .

Op go to NCC site and send mail with evidence you'll get response in less than 24hr. And us let all go to twitter to #airtelscammuststop...

Removing 65naira from over 100,000 people in a day. Over 300,000 sef. Something has to be done.

I always say it, banning for lengthy periods is completely irrational. Can't Nairaland borrow a leaf from Quora, they only suspend accounts for days but if one is banned, they ban your ID and even your IP. What's the essence of banning till 2050, 2035, 2070 when someone can just open an alternate. If am banned that way. Na to just quit Nairaland be dat.

bro your advert approach is lame, i would have asked how much you're being paid to lie but am sure lie mohammed would quickly quote me and say its 3.5m
