You aren't wrong sir. Goals have a way of making people develop irrational love for players. The same way Simy went to the WC because he scored a bicycle kick against Juventus.
For the record, I have zero love for Joel Obi...He is another bang average player who can't translate his club form to the national team .. But then, when the desired is unavailable, the available become the desired. If Obi was fit at the time the list was released, he would have been invited...that's certain...

My preferred lineup against SA....

Omeruo over Balogun cus of recent club form..Whatever Omeruo did against SA 3 years ago should b forgotten.. He is in form now and deserves to start..

Akpeyi over Ezenwa and Theo cus he is currently the most active though not d better...he is certain to start....

Onyekuru ahead of Kalu in case the latter pulls out... even if fit ..

If football is like that Balogun would have displaced Duffy or Dunk.Apart from that, I don't think it's right to start Omeruo being that he struggled to cope with Rantie's pace last time.

You don't change your CB pairing that way.

Ezenwa is likely to start due to Akpeyi's lack of match day confidence.

I think Chukwueze deserves to start(being that he is a left-footed RW).Even Kalu started ahead of Onyekuru.

Balogun hasn't played for his club in two months. against Libya it was obvious that he was match rusty.. Omeruo is no stranger to the CB pairing.. he has played there many times under Rohr. Stop using the excuse of what happened three years ago against Omeruo please. That was the same excuse we used to bench him last year. The same Rantie later got the better of Ekong,Awazeim and pa Elderson.. Rantie is not even in SA squad for the game...
You're quite funny oo. u want to start Balogun and Ezenwa who haven't played football in weeks against South Africa?

Akpeyi may be jittery and all but I'd rather pick Theo ahead of Ezenwa

How pushing out the black males to fight a war they knew they were going to lose not mass enough.

Perhaps, the word you're looking for was "crude" and not "mass".

Those guys went about their elimination plan - well thought out and systematic.

And depending on the context of the argument, I'm not one who tries to shield the role our black brothers played during the slavery era.

Which elimination plan? So Americans were planning also when slaves fought for their freedom in their civil war? You don't have to look outside Africa to know what genocide means and what happened in Argentina was not that. There are still black people residing there in their communities so I can't agree with any of the mass killings talk.

My Brief Weekend review/reactions

A). Happy to see Henry Onyekuru get back among the goals to make it 4 league goals now for Galatasaray SK in the Super Lig. Excellent way to return from the injury setback he had which didn't last long and also a great way to show readiness for the international break with the Super Eagles. Onyekuru is another one who will offer many years of service to the Super Eagles from the LWF role and he can also grow to be a keen option in the CF role in later years with more experience and game growth.

B). Sad to see the stagnancy in Kelechi Nwakali's career path at Porto B. This was supposed to be a launching pad for the super talented central Attacking midfield youngster but sadly he is not getting games anymore. He has to leave Porto ASAP. He should be playing. A lad with his talents will only go to waste if he is not playing regularly at this stage. He is still 20 and can rise from this slump. I know he is in the plans of our U-23 team and rightly so because that is his level now. He is not ready yet for the Super Eagles unlike Chukwueze and Osimhen who may be young like Nwakali and even younger actually but they both have shown heart to compete at the top especially Chukwueze.

I really don't understand why Nigerian talents struggle to see games at Porto. It is only the African Forwards there that see games... The lad bought from the camerounian league is seeing games at least with Porto B while Brahimi, Marega and Aboubakar continue to be main stays in the main team. Even a Chidozie Awaziem who had a super campaign in Ligue 1 last season and was retained by Porto is not seeing games. He has only featured once for them and it came in a cup game. I feel Chidozie also has to leave... He is super talented too and cannot afford to keep sitting on that bench. He is a player with huge potentials to become one of our Super Eagles defensive leaders in the long term future BUT he has to move now to continue that upward climb. For now, it is not looking so good.

C). Like I said the last time I was here before I left, "Samuel Chukwueze is here to stay." The lad reminds me of "Vintage" Robben everytime I see him play in that Villarreal shirt and even from his days at U-17 level in the Class of 2015. He is a super star in the making and I think his buy out clause of 30 million Euros may turn out to be peanuts if he continues like this (And I am sure he will).
In just a couple of games for the first team of Villarreal, he got his first senior assist in the Europa League. He scored his first senior goal in the Copa del rey and now he has his first La Liga goal. The lad is rising and even though his NT invite looked to be kinda early for the lad at first, I think I must commend Rohr for taking the bold step to bring the lad in this early. It was only a few months ago that Marvellous BascoVanVeli and I were talking about how much the and can add to the Super Eagled as a left footed Right winger/right wing forward and viola... Here we are.

Now, I know Samuel Kalu is back and is in contention to keep his place in the Starting XI vs SA but don't be stunned to see Samuel Chukwueze thrown in from the start. It is possible because I strongly feel the lad is ready for the big responsibilities of being a Super Eagle.
He is one of the last key pieces to unlocking the puzzling huge potentials of our talented Super Eagles attack in the Post-Ighalo era most especially.
Sir TheGoodJoe and I once and at other times spoke of a league of Extraordinary Hitmen in the New generation Super Eagles and I know for sure that Samu Chukwueze is gonna be a key member of that special league of Attacking talents in the team that will guarantee us goals and relentless attacking drive against any opponent on the planet if the team grows true to their potentials.

In this Extraordinary league of GWG Hitmen so far, I feel we have the likes of Isaac Success, Kelechi Iheanacho, Henry Onyekuru, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu, Alex Iwobi as AM And now Samuel Chukwueze coming in with his left foot. The only other left footer in this league is Iheanacho.

Expectations are high on the likes of Stephen Odey and also Taiwo Awoniyi (if he finds his footing again this season after last season's decent showing) to break into this special league of hitmen in the NT someday.
There is a certain Noah Okafor of Basel in Switzerland who I hope we can get too. I have mentioned him a couple of times long before now but time will tell with him.
Ademola Lookman and Sheyi Ojo are gonna be great additions to this league of hitmen in the team too from wide areas if we can complete their switch of allegiance.

I could write a book on the potentials of the new generation Super Eagles but let me stop here for time sake and for the sake of focus on more urgent issues like the SA game in view.

Who do I think will start? Hmmmm...

Rohr may surprise with one name. Or it would just be the usual. Time will tell.

Meanwhile, the likes of Ahmed Musa and Blessing Eleke had assists for their sides this past weekend (Eleke also had a goal too). Kingsley Michael also provided an assist for Perugia in their win over Simy's Crotone.
As already reported here I believe, Simy had two goals in that game... One for his side and the other against his side... He was that prolific. A bad brace to have. Lol...

Onuachu got his 9th goal in 15 Danish top flight games this season so far. So many things happened over the week... Even Osimhen bagged his first Assist for Charleroi to add to the six goals he has for them already. That boy is truly on fire. A bonafide talent to battle for the no.9 in the Post-Ighalo Era.

But the weekend belongs to two of Nigeria's Special talents in Henry Onyekuru and Samuel Chukwueze. My hopes for another special talent in Kelechi Nwakali is for him to pack his bags and leave Porto Sharp sharp... Such a talent cannot go to waste. We need enough bad ass CAMs in the Super Eagles in the long term future. A true midfield general... It won't be bad to have two or three of them naa abi? This is why I hope things start looking up again for K.Nwakali... I believe in time, he will realise his potentials. A lad like that who made the Goal Next gen list and Marca list for top youngsters... I hope he comes good in the end...

In conclusion... Cheers Henry and Samu "Robben" Chukwueze (They call him Samu Messi in Villarreal...lol)... Hmmmm...that 30 million Euros buy out clause... Hmmmm.. time will tell. cool

Meanwhile, I came across this goal article and believe it is worth a share. I hope it doesn't give anyone heart attack anyway... Coz a name some here love to rap bad lyrics about is in the article... wink It is a very recent list dated October 30, 2018. Class is forever permanent my people.... It is only form that can fluctuate and affect your value at any given time in the sporting world

African U-23 talents on this list: Franck Kessie (CIV), Kelechi Iheanacho (Nigeria), Jonathan Bamba (CIV), Maxwell Cornet (CIV) Francois Kamano (Guinea)

Note: Hide this list from one man among you called Chriskels. He is CIV's number 1 fan here and I am afraid I just gave him more leverage to come sing more praises of the Ivorian team. They got 3 top talents on the list!!! Look, they are a fine side with some exciting talents like Pepe, Kessie, Seri and their main man, Zaha. I think Gervinho hasn't retired yet and is still balling at Parma. They also will likely get a Jonathan Bamba from Lille (same club as Pepe) who is Ivorian but also eligible for France. Recent reports say he may choose CIV. That makes their Attacking wings even more dangerous and mouth watering just like ours. But I insist that in Midfield, only one of them will start in our own first XI Midfield and if I add Mikel then it means none of them will start... Lol. We overmatch them in Midfield quality and the additions and career progression of a couple more Midfield talents will make us even stronger in the middle.

Anyway, please, bikoooo.... don't allow Chriskels see this list. Blind him if you must. Or better still, cast a blindness spell on this one post so he may skip it and see all others. He no go let us hear word again now... Lol...

Mbappe, Alli, Dembele: Who are the top 25 young footballers in Europe's elite leagues?
Robin Bairner
(Recent article/list Dated and compiled: October 30, 2018).

Who are the most decisive young players aged under 23 in Europe? Goal gives you the lowdown with our ranking in conjunction with Opta

Kylian Mbappe has never done things like the others. On Sunday, the 19-year-old showed that once again as he captured the spotlight at Stade Velodrome, where he won the match for Paris Saint-Germain.

I saw a comment from a couple of pages back where Curtisaxel7 said he cannot hate someone he has not met. That was his response to another moniker named Triniti who noted that he always seemed to have something nasty to say about Nacho with almost any post he makes. He said it was now beyond players analysis.

For those of you who don't know the name, Curtis, ohhh he is the new in-house lead lyricist for the "Nacho Is crap" song and it is no surprise that over 85% to 90% of his posts since he walked into this thread have only been to talk sh*t about Kelechi Iheanacho. He hardly contributes to football discussions here without taking a swipe at Nacho. Just look at all his posts, out of five at any given point, three is likely to be about "Nacho is crap". That is some obsession, people... Really interesting obsession that may need a Lobotomy if the need ever arises... But in any case, let's move on.

Okay, I wanna ask him and others like him something.... You say you cannot hate on someone you haven't met right? Obviously you say this to justify your continuous attacks on the talents of Nacho... Okay... Answer me this...

"HAVE YOU MET SATAN?" wink

Coz I am pretty sure y'all will be the first to say you hate the devil unless ofcos for the purpose of wanting to stand on your point, you will happily lie that you don't hate the devil and that in fact you love him.

I think it is fair too to meet Satan before you can hate him, not so? Going by your statement.

Happy new week House....... **Signing out again** Take care y'all....

**Waves like Iwobi**

How many goals has he scored this season.

What's the basis for your conclusion using the unit of objective measurement, that outstanding consistent top performance in your club and league are the basis for selection.

What has he done moved from being a "Wasteman" of last season to being wasteful in front of goal this season..

Onyekuru has far better justification.
you don’t have the bragging right to label Isaac success a waste man no more. The real waste man is your solanke aka “sanitation engineer”. Onyekuru won't get you goals as a 9, Faith Terim(Galatasaray) and Van(Anderlecht) have tried it but ended up losing to their opponents.

I cannot completely disagree with you, he does seem a bit lightweight.

Musa is a better option upfront.

The reality is we just don't have many quality striking options and as much as I don't rate Success, he has physicality good pace but lacks finishing. Maybe he is now an option.

It's sad but we really don't seem to have any real quality options up front.

The comparison to Solanke is irrelevant and has no bearing on the discussion.

Both Kelechi Nwakali and Musa Yahaya did not make the Port B team for today's game.

Honestly, the players need to move. For Nwakali, this is definitely damaging his value.

The more pertinent objective question is why ❓ is he no longer OUTSTANDING SPECIAL TALENT.

Such talent does not hide it's there for all to see irrespective of the league you play in.

Once again the topic of Chuks Aneke has come up. Why ❓ outstanding stand out player in club and league.

Chuks Aneke voted best player in league two for the month. He us supposed to be an AM but it seems he is being played as a striker quite a often. Can he do it a higher level, I don't know, I think he us not fast enough, I guess it's a question of opportunity. But the quality is not in doubt
