Oh wow! See my people, I'm in Calgary too, and with the winter, I dare not take room temperature water.
I still use ice cubes in my water, less I vomit, and I am 20 weeks plus.

we are kind of close am in Fort mac for now vomiting stopped but do have weaves of nausea sometimes if I don't eat at 33 weeks but saliva

I know this is not the right place to post this but am putting it here because we are all married women expecting a child. I just need a word of advise from you because am loosing my mind and the only thing that is still giving me hope is my son and my unborn child
I have been crying since afternoon, because of what the person I called my mother told me. I have a mother that hated me so so much and it started right from when I was a child but I thought she will change if I get marry and leave under her roof. Despite being the only female child she have she never liked me. she's always against me. The most painful aspect of this is that she like and cherish my senior brother wife more than me. That one heard alot from my mum about me and she take me as nothing, that is not the problem because I put her in her place too. But the most annoying thing is my mum always tell her everything going on in my life and family and she will be keeping everything my sister in law tells her as secret.
my mum was the one that first broke my pregnancy news to them even when I stupidly told her and warn her not to tell anyone till it's obvious. I know what I went through before getting this pregnancy. my mum expect me to be updating her about my pregnancy while she will be telling the whole world. My mum can keep another person child(SIL) affair secret from me but she's exposing me to the world. I am crying as am typing this honestly. I stopped telling her about my pregnancy and she's annoy. I wish she won't come to omugwo but I can't help it. I know how he treated me like a piece of shit when I had my first child and I know she will treat me worst now because I stopped telling her about my life. my fellow women, am I overreacting, if anything happen to me or my baby this woman will only cry and clean her face then continue enjoying her life.

But I will tell you that it's not compulsory that your mum comes. After delivery, your husband can call and inform her that you have delivered but because of economic situation that she is not invited for the omugwuo and that you people will manage yourselves.

Or you can choose not to inform her at all especially when you are not living in the same town. Just lockup. If you have any elderly Godly woman around( neighbour, church member, mIL , friend) that can help you with the baby for about a week or so then inform such person.

You can still send her the omugwuo items later or the cash equivalent.

Take care of your child yourself. Not everyone’s mother is alive to do Omugwo for them. At this stage you need happiness and peace of mind. If your mother does not give you that please give her a distance. You have kids now who will seek peace of mind and joy from you. How can you give it to them if you don’t have it within you? Not having a relationship with your mum is fine if that will give you peace. No human should have that power to make another miserable. Mother or not. Take charge of your life and learn to keep your mouth shut. You don’t have to tell her anything you don’t want the world to know.

Honestly, I've had this questions in mind but didn't know how to go about it. I was about googling the cause after I'm done here before I saw your comment. Quite worrisome I must say.

At my hospital, towards the tail end of pregnancy, antenatal becomes weekly and scan is done at every visit. That's how my doctor saw that my fluid was reducing and i had my son on the exact day i was 37weeks.

I would also like to know if scan can detect cord round the neck. It is so sad.
