Blessing and I were cousins. We grew up in the same house. Her parents practically raised me until I went to university. I had a boyfriend friend in secondary school then at Okene. He was the love of my life. Bright and I were inseparable. But we did not let anyone know were dating because my aunt,Blessing’s mother would have killed me. But Blessing knew and she promised not to say anything.

I went back to stay with my parents in Jos after my secondary school. From there,I got admission to study law in ABU. That time,there was no phone but me and Bright kept in touch through writing letters. But after a while,he stopped writing me and I tried to visit my Aunt one holiday so I can visit him. When I arrived,he was not in town. I was told he was in school at the state polytechnic. I tried to reach him but he was not there either.

After I returned,I still tried to send him letters. I even asked Blessing to help me check on him but she said she does not see him anymore. After not hearing about him for two years,I forgot about him. I graduated and did my law school a few years later and got a job in a small law firm in Jos. That was where I met my husband, He also is a lawyer in the same firm as mine.
