Of a truth I tell you, in the last few hundreds of years, mortals have committed genocide in the name of the master Jesus, we have massacred in the name of the holy prophet Muhammed, we have also indulged in a bloody battle in the name of Lord Buddha. My brother man and sister woman, we have hurt one another in the name of these great leaders who taught nothing but love and kindness toward others.

Most parents will agree with me, children exhibit most of the following characteristics:

ignorance, selfishness, sensuality, degrading passions, hypocrisy, pride, jealousy, envy, mischief, wickedness, hatred, lack of reasoning power, frivolity, cruelty, derive pleasure in doing evil etc.:
All the aforementioned characteristics exhibited by children clearly shows that most children sent into this world are the embodiment of negativities and imperfections. It is the sacred responsibility of parents to strive to get rid of their inherent imperfections and make them perfect. Difficult task, you might say? Yes, it is. I want you to bear the following important points in mind, pertaining the nature of the souls occupying the physical bodies of children.

Do you think a god could exist? Leaving aside what has been or not been demonstrated, could a god or gods exist beyond our planet for instance?

Beyond our planet, lol!

When America was planning to go to the moon in the 60s, a lot of people got it into their heads that they would find God there. It was a hysteria at the time, funny to us in England who were more rational. We after all can't afford to cook things up in our heads with our siblings in Europe ready to shout, "it's a lie!" But America? Who get brain reach America around America? Leaders of the new order. Winners of two world wars! This was going to be televised. They were going to check if God was on the moon.

When they got to the moon and found no God despite their reading the bible and praying when they got there, they were deflated. They'd lost a war, Saudi Arabia strangled their necks showing them they weren't even the most economically powerful. They pretty much learnt their lesson not to build towers of babel and the stupidity of looking all over the place for God. They've evolved to 'the Kingdom and Spirit of God is within them', and to all intent and purposes, God blesses America.

So your question, could gods exist? I say yes. If buda cook up god in buda's head god will exist in buda head and if buda cook up buda god in the heads of other people buda god will exist in their head too. But in the minds of those in who's head buda cooking don't cook buda god cannot exist. You don't have to travel all the way to Sokoto to find what exists in your head.

So, let's look for God shall we. First question, What is God? One needs to know what God is before one can consider where to find God.

LoL! I trust you to politely eviscerate things and you do not disappoint.

Definition of god: a being capable of doing acts that defy the laws of nature as we know it.

So, when the first surgeon defied the "laws of nature as we know it" by replacing someone's heart with another heart, that person was a god? I'd accept that. I've had recourse to lots of them recently, and know where to find them and would willingly bow down to worship them when I need to and have done so in the recent past, if that's what you mean by gods.

That's not what many mean by God, however.

LoL! No not like that, the surgeon is still bound by the laws nature because he has to cut open the chest, extract the first heart then put in the new one. Most propositions of god will have the god replace the heart without any physically apparent intervention. That's the type of breaking the laws of nature I mean.

I thought you meant your "propositions of god", and not that of "most". You a mind reader Lord?

Give me examples of gods breaking the laws of nature, maybe I'll get what you mean.

I tried to formulate a broad spectrum definition of god that would encompass most propositions of god. One basic characteristic of god propositions is that gods are able to perform feats which may not have naturalistic explanations. One keen example I think is transmutation, transforming one substance to another with little intervening physical action. Midas was given the ability by a god, to touch anything and turn it into gold, even a human was turned into solid gold. Jesus simply asked servants to fill a jar with water, fetch it and bear it to the MC of an event and the water was turned to wine. Those are not explainable by any naturalistic explanation we know of now. Gods will be able to consistently do such acts.

Of course, I will not deny that humans have made the effort towards enlightenment and I think no gods can take that away from us.

We read that Midas touched anything and turned it into gold and that water was turned to wine but who says they are "not explainable by any naturalistic explanation we know of now"? Everyone doesn't know, or you don't understand yet?

I'll biblespeak it. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God". Easy, you'd think, considering everything it's like. But what is it, and where should one seek? About not accepting open heart surgery as an act of god! Is it not greater than turning ones daughter into gold or getting everyone drunk?

Midas was a good moneymaker, perhaps a good dealer. He was so concerned with making money he sold his own daughter. As to Jesus, good thing he didn't drink any or we'd be calling him a drunkard. I happen to think the first open heart surgery was not explainable by any naturalistic explanation known at that time and surgeon gods consistently do such acts, though now, we do understand.

I'm agreeing with you Lord. Their acts may not have been understood when first performed, but even more so than they did is done now. The surgeon is a god.

LoL. Buda, I know what you trying to say but I want us to speculate for a moment, maybe even indulge in some steelmaning even. We are trying to consider a possibility not considering what has not been demonstrated (that a god has not been shown to exist).

Go on, speculate. The god you have so far defined though is a surgeon, and they exist.

Let me ask you a question, "could gods exist?"

Ones that we've not observed? Plausibly, simply because we have not observed much beyond our local space. We may encounter Kal El type creatures someday.

Seems you hold the view that gods must be out in space somewhere. I can't say it's a view I share since there is no evidence for what the Greeks abandoned some 25 centurys ago. But if we do find living beings out in space, do you think they would be our gods? They'd have to have Jesus Christ tattooed inside them for this generation to worship them, not to talk the wine, gold and replacing hearts.
