At 25. I was in school then but I promised my self never to graduate and go home. I had skills (like private computer tutor, private tutor business, classes inverter installation, gave driver my car to give me daily return etc) that I converted to money making ventures. I had my first car at 25.

Let me tell you what I didn't enjoy but would ease your hustle, try from year 1 to get as many scholarships as you can get (use good agents who knows their onions for example, GMASS at Uniport). If for example, you get Shell Scholarship (pays N100,000 yearly) , Agip, Agbami (pays medical students N450k/yr, engineering 350k) and others, you won't tell your parents so as to augment from pocket money they give you but save a major (or all) of the scholarship money.

Forget girls, dress simple but clean, no unwanted gadgets, you can save at least N300,000 before graduation.

Also, start thinking from Yr 1 of any LEGIT side hustle you can do. If it will affect your education (everyone is different), leave it till final year and launch a business. I tell you, jobs aren't easy to come by.

Make good friends who have the zeal to do good business/links/make it in life.

I play safe, which made my financial babies come in little by little.
But after expansion, it was easy going from 1 to 2.

Seems the average age is between 24-26yrs. I made mine at 26, well, it was via gambling, plus little importation business(laptops) and domain flipping. The funny thing is I learnt everything from Nairaland.

I was 26 serving in rivers state, I tot to myself, foodstuffs such as grains are expensive here, and cheaper in the north where I cane from, 2 months to end of NTSC, all my savings n borrow borrow I raised 330k send to my mom, God bless her, she went to market bought what money can buy sent it to me n my bixz was born, the hustle was real after service, I got a job in kwara, migrated leaving bixz for blue collar job with close to 1 mil, a mistake I regret to this day, made money from mmm, bought a car with lost 750k to mmm, with 550k in account lost my job April this early this year, fell back on 550k now I have less than 100k + side hustle, looking to raise capital n go back to ph, life is funny.

Worked for years in a mad ass city like Lagos...saw a niche and resigned ! Told my CEO that this is a viable market that firms can enter he overlooked it ...started private practice alongside paid employment some two years ago ...resigned after few months when I saw the opportunities and by the grace of God ...landed the first deal...opened the corporate account with over 750k then business started coming...

You must prioritise assets over liability to remain at the top.

Making a million without remaining a Millionaire is bullcrap.

At 22/23.. My year 4/ year 5... Scholarships totalling almost 2 million. (Addax= 100k, Total= 150k, Agbami= 200k, Some local ones: 550k,)
Wasted it on lenovo laptop, iPad, costly clothes, women and family...
I regret sha, was still young n thought d money will always be coming..
Still in pains till now.

Hello fellow nairalanders and business men, I was at the verge of making my first million naira early this year but I got carried away by the euphoria and made some bad investments which later backfired and left me bankrupt... However, I'm recuperating now, and I just wanted to know at what age you guys made your first million naira and how you did it or the investments you made.

This is just to serve as a motivation to our young and upcoming brothers and sisters still in the labor market struggling to make ends meet.

Made my first million when my previous company finally decided to pay us our accumulated salary arrears..was around 28years then....now I earn close to half a million monthly so I can afford to save 200k monthly if I'm extravagant or 250k if I'm conservative..

Don't worry that is life and it's all about risky...also had such a experience when left hutsle for paid job...bro I realised late in early 30s that for you to make it in Lagos ...you have to be a creator of job not a consumer of job ..and God on your side you would make it here

If not ponzi scheme, I was close to a million in 2016 @24yrs but Mmm and other ponzi scheme squandered it,since then av been working and saving whenever the school is on break,am done with schooling right now and av suspended NYSC till June next year,Inshallah I must reach the target again in the next 6-7months.

Am into a truck transport business, am making roughly 80-120k per month minus feeding and accommodation,it is not an easy task coz u can't be neat all the time,no time to rest,no time to av fun with fwends not to talk of girlfriend.It is all about driving, driving and driving........

Through MMM, and Ponzi. MMM mainly. It was God sent. The salaries I earn on my job was just for feeding . Before u know it, the money is finished. But those 2 pushed up my account greatly

21 I supplied a 100 KVA generator to someplace , I was supposed to supply a Perkins but I found a more reliable generator and it was cheaper by about 750k then so I supplied that plus my small margin I had slightly over a million in my account ... I set up a digital advertising network which has distributed content for most brand in Nigeria from MTN to Jumia to Procter and Gamble to coca cola and that was where made 10m and 30m of mine first . I am sorry I can't mention the name here because I am very partisan on this forum for now

Anyways I made my first 1m at age 26 after finishing school... As a young civil engineer and with the right connections 1m is like a drop in d bucket. I got my first car that same year for 1.2m

I was 19,I got contract of 2.3, within same period I was able to save 1.2 every year from (osusu) contribution ever since I have invested some much in landed properties
