how did you lose all your savings?

I was introduced to an investment business by a friend who hoodwinked me into parting away with my money. How he succeeded in sweet-talking me into the business which later turned into a scam still beats my imagination. I later got to know he already defrauded other people and absconded. The talk of investing in diesel and gas supply business. After weeks of calling and texting it later dawned on me that I have been duped plus I was out of job at that time. It's a long story besides I'm still trying to raise money (60k) for my rent and I have just this November and December to raise the money before I will be ejected. Bad year for me, been out of job for months and I barely eat two square meals a day. I wish someone from NL could investigate my claims 'cos I'm not making this story up. Been through hell this pass months and the worst was loosing my younger brother to the cold hands of death because I couldn't raise money in time for his treatment. He died August 27th. All I'm asking is for a 10k financial support so I can use it for transport and feeding. Will appreciate a good paying job I can get so I can take care of my ageing mother and sibbs who were looking up to me before my financial downfall. I've got over 8years administrative work experience coupled with different skill set.

Especially ladies who get from boyfriends and parents .

if you can find a need and satisfy it you'll be a able to meet your needs.

for example when I was in school (year 2) I sold provisions in my dorm room. I discovered that most girls were too lazy to go downstairs or outside to buy basic needs so I removed out of my pocket money to buy a few things and resell.

shyness and procrastination made me not continue in subsequent academic years.

again some one from this same nairaland sold an eBook about domain name buying and selling to me.

I started trying to buy domain name, but wasn't making much (like 500$ per month) 500$ didn't mean much to me back then.

then I stumbled upon this white guy, he was also a domain name trader, he was teaching people how to buy and sell domain and software on flippa. although his course was expensive about 800$ I bought it, then I also bought a 1000$ course on digital marketing. after the taking those courses I lunched out on my own, I bought a bunch of domain names and about 4 softwares.

most of the domain name didn't sell well some didn't sell atall but 3 sold for a wopping some of 15000$ combined.

it is funny how lots of people say money can't change them I was one of those guys. but trust me after this second win, I was sure I was going to be up there with mark zuckarburg some day.

then something crazy happened, one of my 4 software gained like 3million active users. turned out the original owner of the software was from isereal, and his research was on point, isreali market really needed the software, but the guy was marketing and trying to monitize it the wrong way.

by accident I got it just right the software began marketing it self and before you know it a giant iseareli company asked me to sell it to them.

being young and dumb I didn't know how to monitize it so when I saw who was willing to pay, bam I sold it. I made a mistake though, I should have let them name a price or at least named an unrealistic price but silly me I asked for what I thought was a fair price 100000$.

they did what every good business men would do they bargained for a lower price 70k$.

I agreed bam this time even GOD couldn't stop me I was mega rich.

but like what my mentors always say when there is to much supply of money, it begins to flow to unnecessary places. I blew all the money, although most were on other ventures that later failed.

yea I spent good money on lavish lifestyle , but I wasn't that stupid, most of my money actually went into other businesses and investment but I was young and stupid so I paid for it .

I walked away with lot of experiential knowledge. at this point in my life I am trying to gain momentum again and GOD know that when I do, I'm never stopping, I'm not saying I have learned everything there is to learn, I'm saying that i have learned to do less stupid things than most people and I still think am going to be up there with the big boys although I don't want to be famous like them I don't want to be on any list.

Don’t be discouraged bro. There’s a reason for everything. Maybe God’s just trying to teach to some lessons or show you something. For you to have gotten that far, I believe you can get there again and even farther. Don’t relent and try again, please you can take me along when embarking on that mission again.

Write professional exams to change your background to align to the sector. The exams depend on your knowledge (do you know how to solve questions in an exam), experience (some require years of professional experience) and financial capabilites (some are expensive with the fees in dollars).

I am a career minded person. That category of job would not help me in future. I struggled to get a professional jobs in my area of specialisations in UK but the conservative government of David Cameron was making things extremely difficult for foreign students.

A financial institutions in Nigeria came for the yearly "careers in Africa " summit in London and I was hired. The entry pay was lower than my monthly gross in the care home I was working . But when you considered that I was going to be working in my cherished area and the Potential for growth, I took the offer and I thank God I did.

Stayed with them for six years, gained valuable experience and joined an oil and gas company.

Have built my own house in Nigeria and about even resigning to set up my own independent business consulting firm.

Had my kids abroad with citizenship so that they don't experience what I saw in UK based on nationality when you get to the final stage of interview. They always asked me if I had the permanent right to work in UK. Once I said no , they won't get back to me.

But some Nigerians with British nationality that I did interviews with got offers.

Honestly, Cameron government dealt with us. Bared companies from hiring none UK /EU professionals
