Nothing like dumpling site or anything, Nigerians like to read meaning and put inferiority complex in everything. What is there if they choose to sell bleaching cream in Nigeria;it’s not by force to buy, and bleaching cream is sold everywhere even in America. Also, they chose Nigeria because of the huge business market and population.

let him tell us. After all, the Uju that went viral courtesy of him was some light-skinned chick.

Even Leon Balogun was expressing outrage, Leon and Troost with their white women.

It was on this NL a guy stated that black guys prefer light skinned women. The outrage only exists on the internet.... In reality, the same people expressing outrage are the ones glorifying light skin.

And I would appreciate if you would express yourself without dropping the insults.
Sorry for the insults for a start...
Because he dated a light skinned uju doesn't mean he preferred them to dark skinned, except ur saying all natural light skinned babes should be ignored in advocating for the blacks.
Balogun , troost and "a guy on NL" opinions were not considered before burna made his declaration.... So don't bring dem up..
Bleaching is Bad and uncalled for since "black is naturally beautiful "
However it doesn't mean all natural light skinned girls should be ignored to proove a point..

Imagine a smoke addict ranting about poison. What in God's name is more dangerous t ones health than smokes?

Black Chyna should fvckin bring her cream to Nigeria, so long as she isn't forcing any lady to buy. She's good to go.

If the cream's negative effect start showing. The patronisers should bear the consequences and blame.

see, that's the thing.

It's all psychological. A lot of people have no self love and it comes from growing up in environments that make you feel that way. People underestimate how far little words go with kids, a lot of parents don't tell their kids they are beautiful, they keep comparing them with certain people. That child will grow up feeling like they are not enough.

It happens a lot with dark-skinned girls, growing up and seeing the light kids get all the attention and then growing up and it's the same thing... Men saying they prefer dark-skinned girls and all. Toke Makinwa said the same thing in her book, when she explained why she bleached.

Look how far Toke has gone, some will say she got that far in no small measure due to her lightness.

These things are psychological.

Seriously, she chose to sell bleaching cream in Nigeria

Yes na, because bleaching has being reigning since the time of Fela's "Yellow Fever" in the mid-70's.
If there's a willing market, well, there are willing sellers.

The long-term effects of bleaching may include skin cancer, but what does that matter as long as ladies can touche up today? undecided

The declaration is all on the same topic of Blac Chyna and launching creams in Nigeria.

Anyway, their declarations will not stop anybody from buying the bleaching cream, however, it is duly noted. Actions speak louder than words and the actions of the average black man says that he wants the light girls, maybe these men should proudly advertise the dark-skinned women on their arms and their outrage will be justified.

The point is that light sells, be it natural or artificial and as long as light sells more than black, bleaching cream will still sell.

Bless you too

There is no ban on bleaching cream either in USA or in Nigeria.
That said, there might be a regulation on the sale of beauty products in that a particular brand might require NAFDAC approval before it is sold (I doubt that very much, since they're mostly concerned with food and drugs).

So if bleaching cream is sold daily in Nigeria, why all the fuss when somebody else starts to sell it? We can complain about the side effects, but until there is enough outcry/study to warrant its ban, it's perfectly legal to sell.

i mean, there are job vacancies that state that the women must be light skinned

The high paying ushering jobs require light-skinned women.....these are the small things that affect peopoe and push them to bleach.

I am outraged that our celebrities have said nothing about colorism and the bleaching rave all this time and Blac Chyna is the reason why some of these men want to talk.

Where were they when Toke spoke about her bleaching? Where was their outrage when Tonto spoke about hers? Where was their disgust when Bobrisky and Toyin Lawani were talking about their own bleaching cream?

What have they said or done to make dark women feel loved and wanted? How many dark-skinned beauties have they appreciated on their IG pages?

Sometime last year, a black American male model got blasted because he stated that he preferred dark and brown skinned girls. White women and light women came for him, but he stood his ground and stated "All women are beautiful, but I love my women dark".....Do you know how many dark skinned women got that boost from him? Do you know how many were ecstatic that an attractive black man found them attractive?

These are the things I expect from our celebs.....not that they want to express some fake outrage because Blac Chyna is coming to sell cream in Lagos.

have you asked yourself why she can't sell it in her country? Because it doesn't meet health standards.

To me blac chyna is not the problem. She has the mindset of a business woman, she is making profit from the consumer. The problem starts with you and I, and all the other black/dark women in the world. You complain about discrimination against your skin colour, you complain about bleaching creams, yet day after day you alter your appearance to conform to the westernised standard of beauty. What is the difference? What is the difference between bleaching your skin, and wearing Brazilian silky weave-on, contouring your nose to look pointy, wearing make up to look 5 shades lighter than your complexion? You are still trying to look more European, bleaching is more extreme whilst the others are more temporary, however it’s still the same motive behind it. Most black/dark women are ashamed of embracing the natural features that God gave to them, yet in the same breath will still complain about discrimination against them? Once black women begin to accept themselves, and fight against oppression, the better. We need to stop focusing on the wrong things, and take control over our self esteem, because it’s very low, and blac chyna is only profiting from it.
