look at how urban, modern and graduate looking the girl looks yet she is into all these fetishes. if you see her singing "Imela" in a redeemed Church you will not even associate her with such fetishes.

Only Christ will save you. traditional religions are from satan.

It's not sacred, it's satanic

Because oyinbos told you so
Colonial mentality on full display.
Go and find out how much money that the Greeks make from tourists seeing their old, damaged temples even though they are mostly Christians.

The Osun-Osogbo sacred groove is the abode of the Osun goddess known as the goddess of fertility. Many women come yearly during the festival and ask the goddess for children and then promise to repay a certain gift if rewarded with a child.

Below it's a picture take at the entrance of the groove and also at the fertility goddess statue where prayers are made to ask for children.

Osun was an actual Yoruba Ayaba Queen Mother who comes from Yorubaland. Yorubas only worship one God not 3 like Christians. Orishaa are royal and noble ancestral worship of those who made contribution to Yoruba civilization. Osun was the Queen who started women liberation not to be confused with feminism. Osun is a heroine given sacred homage. Her spirit stays in the lives of Yoruba people whom call upon Osun.

I lived for almost 4years around Isale Osun in Osogbo, I was never there even during the festivals when my own street will be flooded with visitors to the groove. Monkeys from the grooves are always our regular "visitors" in our hood then. I think the place is more of religious than tourism.

The groove has rich herbal plants that is use for all kind of pharmaceutical treatments. No form of wildlife hunting is allowed and equally no felling of trees.

Also the first palace in osogbo. Osogbo has seven different palaces in which the present king resides in the 7th one at Oja Oba in osogbo.

I won't discuss with you on this, you say whatever you like but don't call the name of God in vain.

Some people will also say the christian god only grants temporary wish also. STOP disrespecting other people's religion so that the won't disrespect your god.
Some won't like to hear the truth because it's bitter, that's the real truth, you either believe or not, you can't tell me to believe my prayers will be answered in a shrine, that's a fat lie.

The groove is peculiar for it’s rich history and work of arts. The groove has been preserved over time from century to century as the Osun goddess worshipers believes the place serve as a medium whereby the goddess still communicates with her people. Sacrifices are made daily, weekly, monthly, and the overall big festival comes up every year in August.

Below are pictures of the many shrines at the river side. The third picture is the shrine where sacrifices are made to separate humans from their spiritual spouse.
