One General was said to be allegedly killed and a whole pond was drained to uncover his death.. People being forced to flee their homes for fear of the unknown. Now several soldiers are being massacred and they can't comb the whole of Borno to fish out their killers. What a country.

Its the duty of the Nigerian army to keep casualties like this confidential. Believe this hot lie at your own peril. Over 300 personnel's were killed in metele.

For them to get the commanding officer, we must have lost our troops in hundreds. Unless they walked in and demanded for the commanding officer, shot him and took some aim at others around

kurt09:

The Nigerian army has finally broken its silence on the attacks on Nigerian soldiers, the most recent in Metele, Borno state.

The deadly attack on the 157 task force battalion stationed in Metele left scores of soldiers dead while some are still missing.

Some estimates put the casualty figure at over 100, but the army while commenting on Friday, failed to divulge the death toll.

The army’s statement read: “The attention of the NA has been drawn to several social media, print, electronic and online publications about the recent attack on 157 Task Force Battalion at Metele. Whilst it is true that there was an attack on the location on 18 November 2018, it has however, become necessary to correct several misinformation being circulated with regards to this unfortunate event.

“It is important for the public to note that the NA has laid down procedures for reporting incidents that involve its personnel who fall casualty in action. Out of respect for the families of our gallant troops, the NOKs are first notified before any form of public information so as to avoid exacerbating the grief family members would bear, were they to discover such from unofficial sources.

“Furthermore, it suffices to observe that several social media, print and online publications have been brandishing false casualty figures as well as circulating various footages of old and inaccurate BHT propaganda videos and alluding same to be the attack on 157 Task Force Battalion. Whilst it is understandable how such misinformation can spread in this era of social media frenzy, the spurious circulation of some of these videos only contribute to further propagate the propaganda intent of the terrorists; to misinform the populace and portray themselves as what they are not. So far, the situation is that the location is under control as reinforcing units have been able to repel the terrorists and stabilize the situation.

“The NA sincerely wishes to thank the various arms of government, MDAs and sister security agencies that have stood with her in these trying times; by commiserating with the families of the fallen heroes who have paid the supreme price for the defence of our dearly beloved country. The necessary support being given the NA by the Federal Government and the goodwill of the Nigerian populace will undoubtedly continue to spur the NA towards the ultimate defeat of the highly degraded BHTs.”

Following the latest attack, President Muhammadu Buhari dispatched Mansur Dan-Ali, minister of defence, for an emergency meeting with Chadian President Idris Deby.

It is unfortunate how unimportant the life of a soldier has become before this God forsaken government.

It still baffles me why any well thinking citizen that is not benefiting directly from this government would support such an evil institution.

Ask yourself one question "if the running mates of Buhari and Atiku were to be exchanged, would you still support who you are currently supporting? "

Tribalism has single handedly messed with the intelligence of so many people in this country.

NA , do not send any soldier to Metele again! That place is a dead zone. This place has been under attack on several occasions with lots of casualty, yet nothing has been done other than sending more soldiers to go and die. Suspend all operations at Mongonu as a whole, that's the best solution for now. Reinforcement so more can be killed? You sit your asses down in Abuja and spit rubbish!

sometimes the more i begin to think that these soldiers who are being killed every day in their hundreds are some people's fathers, husbands, sons, brothers and uncles, the more I get confused.

what confuses me the more is the fact that the army always debunk rumours of their deaths, while the politicians play politics with their lives.

it's well.

I am surprised that soldiers allowed politicians to be using their personnel to play politics

I need a sincere general to form a group of some soldiers and kill all these useful politicians

Fight Boko Haram bumper to bumper

Rule Nigeria for four years, clean the system and conduct a free and fair election afterwards

Let's face it, democracy is not working in Nigeria for now and can never work due to tribal and religious differences

Trust me, if it were in the era of military, BH would have/nearly obliterated ever since.
All this politicians are nothing to write home about, all they know is to share money/ego/kudi/owo.
BH has moles especially in the NA as well as politicians as godfathers.

As much as the Nigerian Army are doing there best and also laying down there lives for the nation, the truth still have to be said ....
These attack on your camp is really disappointing in the ethics of military there is what we call Perimeter Guild what actually happened to that ??

The commanding officer of that camp needs to probed those who about military formation would understand these .

During camping of soldiers perimeters is been set meaning (there is always a watch guild incase of invasion) assuming perimeters were these attack could have contained or avoided .

There is no Bhoko Haram anymore, what we have is a military industrial complex who send mercenaries out to kill soldiers and citizens so more billions can be allocated to them to share with their foreign collaborators in exchange for old war weapons and when soldiers are killed more budget is allocated.

War is business, please ask Buratai the reason he launched a new Unit to fight fake news. He knew events were going to happen so he and his foreign collaborators lobbied for the new unit in order to muscle people and soldiers against reporting this blood money that he is making alongside his collaborators.

Could it be that the Cabal have actually hijacked the country using a Mind Controlled clone at Aso Rock ?

Or is it judt about a cabal trying to alllocate as much as possible to themselves as their days are being numbered.

From all my mental permutations, I am 100% sure that Buratai hand is not clean. He owns 2 houses at Dubai and it is not just enough.

Time shall tell If we can let these kinds of people go scotfree

what rubbish
The Army will keep mute and people's father, brothers, cousin, sons are being used as pawns.
No national respect + refusing to let their family know.

When you pay bokoharam millions (directly sponsoring them) and still send the army (low pay, withheld bonus + low moral) after them. is that not foolishness

I just finished watching a video of the camp after the attack.

The newly deployed soldiers are protesting and are already packing their loads to leave the camp.

Some of their words:

"Its a lie, No be our blood them go use"

"Does our ogas think we are fools"

"All these are obsolete tanks bought during Shagari regime. It fires only 2 shots and that's all".

"If una wan stay, make una stay. Me, I do go o".

There's a massive sabotage in the Nigeria military from two camps.

1. Those in the hierarchy who embezzle their allowances and procure obsolete military wares for the NA.

2. Those who are sympathetic and informants to the BK terrorists.

I'm still in shock from the two videos I watched today. During the attack and the aftermath.
abeg, send me d link, may I watch the video
